Painting

Hooray...I get to post pictures of my Christmas present. Ever since we moved in we have wanted to paint our house because everything is the same, old, plain, boring, beige color. When Bridger asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year I said, "my dining room painted." So I got to go and pick out the color I wanted and we worked on it together. Lets be honest...Bridger did most the work! Here's a day by day breakdown of pictures. It seems like the project took forever! It was four nights of long hours after we put the kids down to bed.

The color might be affected by your screen. The color is a really deep red. Almost like a cranberry red. It does not have a purple or a pink tint. (This was really important to me.) Guess you just have to come and visit to see how it really looks! Thanks for my Christmas present Bridger...I LOVE IT! What room are you doing next? :)

More Christmas Photos

Since it wasn't too cold on Christmas Day we decided it would be fun to head to the park. Of course Carson thought it was too hot to have his coat on because he was running around.

After all the fun at the park we headed home and had our big Christmas Dinner complete with a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and just about everything else. Can you say leftovers for eternity? We decided we'd better take a walk after all that good food. The temperature had dropped quite a bit so we had to bundle the kids up!

We love the hat Hailey is wearing. It's from her Great Grandma Ashton. She bought it in Slovenia. I love the pigtails!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

We have our Christmas Tree up and decorated. It's been up for a week or so now, I am just slow getting pictures up. Carson was a big helper! Of course we helped him redo it, but I thought it was pretty cute. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to take a picture after we really finished with the tree. Maybe I'll post one later!

Yeah...Bridger put up lights on our house! It looks pretty good if you ask me. We do need to fix the little triangle corner on the top though. Even though we have a tree and lights it still doesn't seem a lot like Christmas. Maybe that is due to the 80 degree weather we are experiencing.

I couldn't help but post a picture of my favorite people in the world..my family of course!

Mommy's Big Helpers?

Any of you who have kids know that it takes twice as long to get things done when your kids are helping you. I was unloading suitcases from our trip and Carson had opened one suitcase, pulled all the contents out, climbed inside, and was trying to pull Hailey in. Well, I helped him put Hailey in the suitcase, then of course I snapped a few pictures! Did you notice his "seat belt" as he called it? What a goon!! Gotta love 'em!

Exxon Christmas Party

Bridger and I went to the ExxonMobil Christmas Party on Saturday night. We were both SO tired since we had just arrived home from vacation late Friday night. It was really fun getting all dressed up. I went to put on some of my old prom dresses from high school, and guess what-after 6 years and 2 kids they didn't fit! Good thing I had a few hours to go shopping! Ember took the photo when we got home, that's why we look a wee-bit tired!

It was the BEST of times, it was the WORST of times...

Does anyone else ever feel this way about vacations? Sometimes vacations seem like too much work. Sure, it is fun to see everyone, and reminisce about old times; but, you have the hassle of packing, trying to get through airport security, sitting on the runway for 45 minutes without moving while trying to handle two children, and that's before you've even left your home city. Then you are so busy trying to visit everyone and make sure you distribute your time equally, the kids don't get naps, and FORGET about bedtimes! Healthy snacks, haha...how about french fries and chicken nuggets for three meals a day! Okay so in the end it is really worth it, we love visiting our family, but we may need a vacation once we get home to recover from our vacation!
-Check out the sweet dress Aunt Briana gave Hailey. It's a little big right now, but talk about an amazing dress!
