Ok, I've been a horrible blog slacker lately. So much has gone on since the begining of June and it doesn't seem to be simmering down at all. My mother in law moved to California a few weeks ago, and we're all still coming to terms with that. We miss her alot, and it's so strange to not have her living so close to us anymore.
We had a few graduations before that as well so it's pretty hectic.
And we got to celebrate a huge milestone: my baby turned one!!!It went by way too fast. I really had no idea what to plan for a one year old birthday party. I still cannot believe I have a toddler running around. She's amazing. We had two birthday parties because my mother in law was leaving before Leah's actual birthday and then we had one on her real birthday a week apart. Needless to say, it was so surreal and a little bit stressful!
But it was so fun and very emotional for me. We had a Sesame Street 1ST birthday theme for Chris' side of the family( we got to choose a theme for our sides of the family) And for my family's side I chose a really girly theme with pink and purple and yellow. We had both parties at a park and they turned out really great.
I still remember my pregnancy and delivery like it was yesterday. I remember bringing her home and the shear joy of having her near me. I loved holding her and cuddling with her at night (she's very independent now and likes to roam free) I miss my little newborn and the memories we made for our first year as a family of three, but I love the little tot she's become and can't wait to make many more memories together and have more babies!(I'm sooo baby hungry right now!).
We're so blessed and thankful to have Leah in our lives. And I'm very grateful to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to , experience the most wonderful, painful, sweet, a bit chaotic at times, best experience I can ever imagine: Being a mother to a precious little angel.
