what do boys and girls think?

This weekend some friends and I had the opportunity to leave the BYU bubble. we slept over at a friend's house and just chilled. it was so nice to get out of provo and spend time with friends. guys and girls were there and at first we had no idea what to do. so it started out with pizza, a fondu fountain and some tv. then, we decided to play catch phrase and that got lame really fast so we played truth or dare. truth or dare turned into a conversation about boys and girls in general, what they thought of the opposite sex. it was really interesting to hear what the boys had to say and their reasoning behind it was interesting. it was like we got to enter into the secret realm of boys and they got to semi-enter into the realm of girls. it was just cool to hear what each of us had to say because they think of things girls don't even think about and vice versa. boys think girls are confusing, but they are just as confusing as we are and it's really knid of funny the more i think about it. this weekend was so fun and it was nice to get away:)

Mulan

i think the Disney character I am most like is Mulan. I am like Mulan because I am chinese:) I am sporty like she is. I wouldn't go to war but if it were to prevent my old father from doing so i probably would. i would do anything for my family just like she did. I am not a girly-girl like her family was trying to get her to be in the beginning of the movie. i am not sure who i am sometimes, but in the end i always figure it out. i would want a pet dragon as my sidekick and a cricket for good luck. she has sort of a care free attitude almost like whatever happens will happen and that's me. Mulan ends up happy and saving china, i would love to do that haha. meeting the emporer another thing i would love to do. i love her friends in that movie. while they are goofy and sometimes weird you can tell they really care for Mulan and i want friends like that. i am most like mulan!!!!!

MTC

Have any of you ever volunteered at the MTC??? If not you guys should definitely do it. I went for the first time on Saturday and it was an amazing experience. The spirit is felt so strongly there and of course there is a chance that you may bump into a missionary you know. However, that's not the reason you should go... but i went on Saturday and by chance i was in a room with a missionary from Hawaii. I went with some friends and we were playing a family that had been introduced to the gospel by a memeber friend. The missionaries knocked on the door and as soon as they enter you are supposed to be in character. The missionary from Hawaii recognized me and started asking me questions but i had to relate to my play "family". I didn't know who he was and half way through the lesson his name popped into my head. I knew him through his sister because i went to high school with her and i met her brother once my sophomore year and he remembered who i was. It was a pretty neat coincidence that he just so happened to be my teacher. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been there that day. Other than that volunteering is an awesome experience and they need all the help they can get. So you should GO!!!!

Tumble Gym

LAst night for FHE we went to the Tumble Gym. Pretty much the entire first floor of boys went and some from the second. There were about 10 girls that went so we were significantly outnumbered. Once we got there the boys lined up on the runway that lead to the foam pit. They would run down jump on the trampoline and do a trick into the foam, each trying to out do the others. it was funny because our boys have a reputation of at least one person breaking something before they leave. The first time we went one of them broke their nose and another time a second boy cracked his head. Last night fortunately the only injury was a sprained ankle. It was so fun. I am not a big fan of trampolines but when we go there i am and there's a teeter totter that spins it was intense. It was a good night. We came back and celebrated my roommates birthday. It was a night of jumping and cake it's a good thing we jumped first then had cake and not the other way around... haha:)

Stamps

This weekend I went to a lot of places and by Sunday i was pooped out. On Friday night, I watched a movie with some friends just so we could reminisce about the good old days. We watched "A Goofy Movie", it was pretty fun looking into the past. After that we went to the dance at The Wilk and I got a stamp on my hand of the cougar paw in blue ink. The dance was pretty good, but then again it depends who you go with to those types of things. After that dance a few of my friends and I went to a party and I got a stamp there of a black happy face and for some reason both stamps had to be on my right hand. The party was good, especially because the DJ was flown in from Hawaii. I made my way up to the table to see if I knew who it was and at first I was like, "oh nope, i don't know him and then", then i looked back to the table and it turned out I did know him. He knows my family and all that stuff, it was pretty trippy. On Saturday, I went to the Rugby game and got a black cougar stamp on the same hand. By the end of the weekend the top of my hand was covered. This weekend was very eventful, but on Sunday it was literally, a day of rest.

IHOP

The past few weeks i have been eating out a lot. This weekend I went to Village Inn on Friday and on Saturday to IHOP. I went with a different gorup of friends from the Olive Garden fiasco. The friends I went with to both of these places I haven't seen them in almost a month so, it was nice to go to a relaxed environment and just chill. On Saturday we were actually supposed to go see PS I Love You but by the time we got there it was sold out, so we went to IHOP. Village Inn is cheaper then IHOP but IHOP has such a good philly cheese steak that i can't resist. Both of these restaurants have good service and environments that make you feel like you could stay there all night and no one will kick you out. It was nice catching up with friends and being able to relax, so it was a good weekend.

Olive Garden

On Saturday a couple of my friends and I went to Olive Garden. I've never been there in the afternoon and it was a new experience. The lighting was different and it was kind of weird not having that romantic feel but then again it was probably because i was with friends. We had the endless soup, salad and breadsticks thing and it was good. One of my friends told the waiter before he brought out the salad that she likes a lot of cheese, so like a good waiter he catered to her needs. He brought out extra extra cheese and drowned our salad in cheese even after my friend told him to stop. Now, this salad bowl wasn't just her's but the two of us around her out of the six there. I had to eat this pool of cheese because i was paying for it and was hungry so we made it throught the first bowl and he brought out the second. Other than that the afternoon was enjoyable. It was my friend's birthday so after lunch we recieved a complimentary cake. It was an entire cake not just a slice for her. We got full slices of cake, it was awesome cake with chocolate pieces all over the cake. Olive Garden was an enjoyable afternoon.
