No Matter What You Do

Jogged five rounds, did 30 push ups & situps for PE today :(
On top of all that,we had to do all that when Mr.Sun was shining so brightly.
Had tryouts for house cheer after school today.
HMMHAAHEEEE,i'm dead beat,it's not funny.

My cousin wrote this. :)

“I’d Lie” by Daneah Husswan.

I hopped into the front passenger seat of the car and strapped on my seat belt just as Chris started the engine. There was a ‘vroom’ sound followed by the sound of the radio coming on and the purr of a live car. I watched my best friend and waited for his normal reaction towards the music coming from the radio, but he did nothing. Instead, he put the car into drive-gear and started to back out of the parking spot.
My eyes widened slightly. Normally, Chris would roll his eyes and quickly turn the radio off, murmuring something about how his sister must have been listening to it when she borrowed his car the night before and didn't switch it off even after he had reminded her a dozen times to do so. He would also usually murmur something of his interest in music- that is to say, he has none.
But today, nothing.

I watched him curiously and noticed the bags under his beautiful blue eyes- he must have studied late into the night and hadn’t gotten enough sleep. I could feel my heart soften as I noticed that and my heart started to race as I remembered the day I realised I was in love with him. I recall it being a Tuesday, sometime last year, when it happened. It was a normal summer’s day; hot and humid- making our throats dry and burning with thirst and making us sweat.

We were having Baskin Robin’s ice cream, me with my usual World Class Chocolate ice cream and him with his usual Orange Sherbet ice cream. We were watching – well, he was- a little girl skipping by, tossing a dollar to a homeless man who was sitting by the side of the road, outside the air-conditioned shop that we were sitting in (I was watching him). There was such a wonder and faith in his expression, such a dreamy hope that the world might change for the better someday, that it took my breath away.

Then he blinked and turned, surprising me. I jumped in my seat and my ice cream fell off its cone and landed with a splat on my cream coloured pants, staining it. He laughed then, as my face flushed beet red. I watched him with a helpless (I guessed) expression, watching his face beam with laughter at my ridicule. It struck me how beautiful he was and I blushed even more. It was then that I told him to shut up. He shook his head as he passed me a napkin, telling me how clumsy I was sometimes.

I panicked slightly as I held that lovely memory in my head and hoped I was not blushing- and if I was, I hoped to God he wouldn’t notice. Then the moment passed, along with the memory and the panic. I sighed, relieved. I looked out the window and tried to clear my head of any thoughts, my eyes stealing glances at Chris every few seconds.

Suddenly the words to the song* playing on the radio catch my attention:
“I think he can see through,
“Anything but my heart,
“First thought when I wake up is,
“’My God, he’s beautiful,’
“So I put on my make up,
“And pray for a miracle...”

Those few words struck me as somewhat familiar. I mean, I didn’t know this song and I had never heard it-let alone heard of it- before, but the meaning of it clicked immediately. I realised the song was so familiar because it had the emotions I was feeling in it and I could understand it so clearly. In fact, I felt as though I knew the song by heart and imagined I could sing along to the next line. So I leant forward eager to here the next words to the song…

…And that was the moment Chris chose to realise the radio is turned on. “Hey, what’s this doing on?” he asked no one in particular as he turned it off. He glanced at me and asked, “Did you realise it was..?” He didn’t finish question though and glanced at me again. His tired face twitched into a small smile. “Why do you look so…uhm… perplexed?”
The words I came up with for a reply stumbled out of my mouth in stutters and incomprehensible mumbles. “He-hey!” I exclaimed. “I was listening to that-you should-should…I-it was…I was listening to that song! Next time…” I took a deep breath to calm myself and Chris chuckled as he made a turning that brought us to my neighbourhood. “Wait,” I said in a calmer tone. I didn’t understand why I was so flustered. “Do you happen to know that song that was playing?”

Chris raised an eyebrow and snorted. “What is this? Since when do you listen to music?” he asked me. Then, out of nowhere, he grinned. “Or is it something else?” he said in a teasing voice as he stopped the car in front of my house and turned to look at me. “Has the Kaytlin, who vowed to me when she was ten that she would never ever fall in love, finally, have done so?”
For a second, I stared at him blankly. Then, realising that he was joking, I started to laugh and opened the car door. “Of course not,” I lied, in the same tone he used to tease me, as I stepped out of the car. “Has the Kaytlin, as you call her, ever broken any of her vows?” Chris smiled his answer as he reached out and pulled the car door shut. Then he waved goodbye and drove away.

I stood there waving until his car disappeared from my sight. Then I sighed as I turned and walked towards my house, replaying his question and remembering the time when we were kids and made that silly vow to never fall in love. I had almost forgotten that we ever did that and surprised me a little that Chris would remember it. I guess that means there might still be hope for me.
I replayed his question in my head again as I unlocked the front door.
“Has the Kaytlin, who vowed she would never fall in love, finally, have done so?”
I smiled as I walked in and shut the door behind me.
He didn’t know how right he was.

We were suppose to leave at six,so I would have enough time to get ready as I was meeting up with Joshua.
After saying "okay this is the last round" about five or six times,we ended the game.
A.Rosie and I won :D
It was forty five past six by the time we left, haha!

Got home, showered, prayed and it was already 8 pm. :O
Left for One Utama and met up with Joshua,Johanan,Owen and Sue Aun.
They except Sue Aun were dota-ing.We finally left for Hartmas Square at 9.
They ate,I watched,We shisha-ed. :) I left at forty five past ten.

Did the necessary when I got back and was on the phone with Matt 'fter that.
He finally helped me figure the right word for me to describe my feelings lately.
The word is, INDESCRIBABLE.
Headed to bed before the clock striked one in the morning.

I was awoken by a phone call and I felt like punching the hell out of that person who called.
Anyway,it was Matt *i take back what i said* :D:D:D
He called to inform me that MANCHESTER UNITED WON 6-0 AGAINST NEW CASTLE. ;D
Three goals from my Ronaldo,Two from Tevez and one from Ferdinand.
Wheeeeeee!

Tried going back to sleep but I couldn't.
So I read New Moon :) EdwardCullenEdwardCullenEdwardCullen.
Got dressed and finished up my homework and now i'm just bumming around.

My group and I did our Chemistry Experiment after school on Friday.

After that,I went to One Utama with Kitt,Yoon Wei,Charles and Edric.
Kitt and I went present hunting while the guys were walking around.
Thanks Kitty for following me :) Met up with the guys at Nandos and then we dropped Yoon Wei home.
Went to Charles's place before finally heading back to school.
Guess who drove us back to school?

Mhhm,Charles :D

Sent Kitty home and went to Opah's house.
Watched Sesame Street with the little kids as Daneah & Arina went to the tailors and Liyana was at tuition,i think.
So anyway,we were watching Sesame Street and there was a scene which Omar and Imran kept doing. It was a little baby and Elmo and Elmo kissed the baby and said "Bye baby!" and kissed him.
So guess who was Omar and Imran's victim of getting kissed? ME! :(

AHHHHHHHHH ! Little kids,i tell you.
I escaped and went to join the girls who were playing at the back.
No wait, they were interviewing the driver :O Hahaha, asking questions like "do you have gf?"
I had a good laugh watching the driver getting tortured by the girls.Hahaha!

Spent the rest of the evening at Daneah's place and then we were back at Opah's for dindin's.
School tomorrow! Yay :D
