family guy BG

I had a client that wanted a family guy inspried BG sample. So I made one very quickly, perspective is alittle off on the couch and the room is definitely lacking alot of accessories. Maybe down the line i'll juice it up with some lighting.

Bananas

I'm going to do a silly post on bananas. On my journy to try to eat more healthier, I have grown fond of eating a banana everyday as a snack. I always purchase my bananas individual at the local deli. i have done often enough that apon entering the deli the guy behind the counter yells "Banana Time." Which is true, it is banana time. I refrain from buying a bushel of bananas because a banana has to be perfect. There is nothing worst than having 5 bad bananas. A good banana has no brown spots, firm and slightly tinted green is ideal. But it's so frustrating because sometimes after all this scrunity you still get a bitter tasting banana.

I guess the only solution would be to grow my own bananas.

The mad episodes aired, so i guess i can post a few backgrounds that i did. Here is one, go to artsir.com for more

Update

I just came back from Asifa Drawing class, had some good discussions about being an Artist and animation. The word complacent was thrown around and it is a great word word to describe what it is like to work for one place for a very long time.

I worked at Little Airplane for almost 2 years and I don't even know where those 2 years went i learned a lot working there but I didn't grow as much as an artist as I should have. Most of my advance in skill come when I was unemployed and I have that pressure that I need to find work. When I am unemployed I feel guilty when I have fun, I'm very hard on myself.

With the new job at Bunko, it's only a 20 min commute to work and they start the day at 10am. So i'm getting plenty of sleep. But what is going to be different this time around is I won't fade out, I will keep my progression up from my unemployment and improve my skills.

Bunko

I started working at Bunko studios, i think it was naive of me to think that i knew about all the studios in nyc, there are alot of small studios in the city doing great work. I would think it would be so hard to run your own studio, there is so much work and responsibility that needs to be done that doesn't even involve animation.

Working there has been going pretty good. The studio is relax, and its fun. I'm a jr designer there, this is something I haven't done professionally before but I'm fully capable of doing it. They never tell me when they want something so i'm always unsure if i'm to fast or to slow.

I hope I get to stay there awhile cause i'm enjoying the work i'm doing.
