Kicking it off - sketch from Borders.
This is my attempt at a daily sketchblog. I've been too much of a flake online lately; maybe this will help me get organized.
I sat down this morning and started drawing. Everything was terrible and stiff, the same faces and the same poses (letting me know that I need to get out and actually draw from life). I walked down to Borders and camped out there for three hours, breaking in a new sketchbook and getting out of the rut I'd fallen into. It's really frustrating when that happens, because if I just keep drawing, trying to force myself out of the rut, it just gets worse, same faces, same expressions, everything. I have to go out and do something completely different...
Anyway, here's the product.
