The weather was so nice through November and the beginning of December that we actually were able to play in the backyard, with only jackets on. I am no fan of the cold and snow so this made me very happy.

Cole helped me decorate the Christmas tree. I had to do a little rearranging of the balls when he was done but had to take a picture first because it's so cute.
I made our stockings this year. I saw some cute burlap ones on pinterest and did something similar. I LOVE the way they turned out!
I had the young women over one evening to teach them how to make caramel apples. They were so creative!
When we have preschool at our house Drew loves to do everything the older kids are doing. But he took it a little too far by rubbing glue stick all over his head during craft time. It's hard to tell in this picture, but he was a gluey mess
And why stop at glue? He apparently also likes to rub food all over his head. What a cutie!
We braved the cold once again for the Helper Light Parade in conjunction with Gentry's birthday party
The boys had the best seat in the house, snuggled in blankets and protected from the snow with the stroller cover. But would they stay in there? Of course not! They were both screaming to get out and ended up sitting on our laps on the curb.

One the highlights of the winter was this snow cave Dave and Cole built in our front yard
We went down to Beaver for our annual Christmas party with Grandma Lessing. Her health has been bad (we found out right after Christmas that she has breast cancer) so we had the party at the local firehouse instead of at her house.
We had a delicious lunch and played some games
Lance entertaining the babies
The next morning as I was getting ready for church, Drew grabbed my piping hot flat iron off the bathroom counter and burned his hand pretty bad. He just cried and wanted to be held for hours. Poor little guy! He blistered across all of his fingers on one hand but luckily it didn't seem to bother him and a few weeks later the skin just sloughed off.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at grandma and grandpa Arthur's house

Cole was all tuckered out and fell asleep on the couch

It finally did snow in December and we spent several afternoons sledding at Pioneer Park. Drew was a trooper! He didn't have much emotion in his face but when he would get to the bottom of the hill he would point up to the top and grunt, meaning he wanted to go again. It was hilarious!
Cole and grandma waiting in the car after he got too cold
Cole found this little snow covered slope and had a great time going down it without a sled
