Marriage Article

I just had to read this article for my Family 160 class and thought I would share. The website has other neat articles and resources for marriage as well.
The article starts a little ways down the page. Look for INTENTIONAL MARRIAGE: YOUR RITUALS WILL SET YOU FREE

No answers

Go figure. Chris just called me as he was leaving the Dr. office. He felt that the doctor was no help at all. The doctor didn't really help answer any of his questions. His nurse however was much more helpful. She was actually a police officer with the city before and had to be medically separated because of an injury to her shoulder. She answered a lot of Chris's question and even gave him some advice about what he needed to do at work...once again we are on hold. He will start the paper work, etc for medical separation at which point a medical board will ask him a bunch of questions, his doctor a bunch of questions and then decide if he should be medically released. We've been told once he starts the process they have 90 days to make a decision...which may mean I won't get to Idaho in time to start school :(

In Limbo, again

Once again we have found ourselves in limbo, hopefully we will have some answers tomorrow when Chris sees the Dr. In June Chris hurt his knee when a man he arrested decided to fight him. (Don't worry Chris won, and by won I mean the guy went to jail). Well he's been having problems with his knee ever since. Just the last two months it has gotten really bad. Chris RARELY complains about his knee hurting him, even though I know that a majority of the time it is bothering him. SO when he was complaining about it every 5 minutes I knew something was up. He finally decided to go back in to the Dr and see what happened. LONG LONG story short after a few x-rays they found the problem and it was worse than they thought. The Dr. basically told him that if he continued being a police officer that he would likely be done in 10 years and would probably not be able to walk at that point. Tomorrow he meets with an orthopedic specialist who will probably tell him he needs to have a knee replacement. I will let you know more tomorrow...We have been talking about the possibility of moving back out to Rexburg to finish school. He would like to get a degree in Biology and then go on to Medical school, everything is up in the air so who knows...

Graduating in April...maybe???

Graduating in April…maybe???

I have been in school for an eternity way too long. The online program offered through BYU-Idaho is great, except that it is a long, slow process, that could quite possibility kill me. I have 12 credits left; count them, 12 that’s a semester’s worth. For some people it’s closer to half a semester. Unfortunately only 6 of those credits will be available online next semester…and they haven’t told me yet when the remaining 6 will be available… Since January 2008 I have taken 2-3 credits a semester…the program is set up for people who have left school and later decide to come back, the problem is that most of them have not even finished their general courses and so the majority of the classes available are lower level classes (which I have finished). You are probably wondering how in the world I will graduate in April, simple. I will move to Rexburg, and take the 2 classes not available online through the continuing education classes available on campus in the evenings. AND THAT my friends would be amazing. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to graduate before Baby Armstrong #2 comes along.

Guess what?!

Some of you may already know, but I haven't made it "public" yet. However it's kind of hard to hide because I've been so sick so a lot of you probably already guessed...

Fun with the Fam

I invited my family over for dinner last night. Savannah was so excited to have people over and eating with her. She was being such a little show off. I put her to bed before my family left last night. This morning when I went in to get her the very first thing she says when I open the door is, "Where's Nene?" (That's what she calls my mom). When I told her she went home she says, "Where's Jam-ss" (my brother, James). And if she knew how to say Dallin and Grandpa I'm sure she would have asked for them too.

and PS Savannah loves Christmas music, you should have seen her jamming out to Jingle Bells in her car seat yesterday :) Glad someone will listen to it with me when its not Christmas.

Savannah missed me!

I didn't go to church today because I wasn't feeling well. Apparently Savannah was very upset that I wasn't on the stand leading the music. She kept looking at Chris and saying, "Mommy?" while waving her arm mimicking me leading the music, then she would look up at the stand and back at Chris. Boy do I feel special and loved! :) Little kids are great!
