This morning Savannah decided to stand up in her chair and then preceded to sit back down, only problem was the chair wasn't where her bum was going. From across the kitchen I said "WHOA WHOA WHOA!" She corrected it, sat down and a few minutes later I hear, "whoa whoa whoa!"
Guess I better be careful what I say from now on, Repeat is always around.

Saturday evening my sweet GREAT Grandmother passed away. While this is very sad for those of us still here on earth, I couldn't help but imagine her happy reunion with her husband who passed on 14 years early, her daughter Betty Jo and her sister, Aunt Jean who passed on only a few short months ago, and other family members who passed on before.
When my little Savannah was born I insisted on going to Florida to get a 5 generation picture. As soon as we could we (my mom, grandmother, myself and Savannah) all went to Florida to see my Great Grandmother (Josie). I am SO thankful we were able to do so.
I only have a few memories of my Great Grandmother since most of my time spent around her was when I was very young. But I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity I had to get to know her.
Probably one of my favorite memories while we were there was when she passed by the bathroom when I was straightening my hair. She gave me a funny look and said "You are straightening those beautiful curls" I said yes, and asked if she wanted me to straighten her hair. She laughed and said "NO!" I will never forget the sound of her voice.
Then one night she was cutting carrots to go in a soup for dinner. I came in and started snatching up a few carrots to nibble, while Grandmother teased me about stealing the carrots Great Grandmother said "They are good, aren't they!"
While we were there she decided she would crochet a pair of baby booties for Savannah. It only took her a few hours to make them! I was so impressed. It was So sweet of her to make them and leave something here for us to remember her by.
