Solids
Savannah has been eating solids for the last two months. Until tonight she's liked EVERYTHING! She likes sweet potatoes, potatoes, bananas, mangos, strawberries, pb&j, chicken, ham, and of course her VERY favorite blueberries! Today I gave her green beans, at first she didn't seem to like them much, but continued to eat them. When I gave her sweet potatoes the first time she did the same thing, by the second try she liked them. So I got the green beans back out to try one more time. Before I could even get them in her month she made a disgusted face. (I was giving them to her cold, so I warmed them up and tried again) She made the face again, but opened her mouth so I stuck some in, she actually started to gag! Guess she doesn't like 'em much!

Giggles
So I sound like a total dork in this, but if you don't roar loud she doesn't laugh. She was laughing harder before I got the camera out. The camera and James were a distraction (you can see her looking over to the side in the video, that's because James was sitting next to her and she was looking at him.)
No babies were eaten or harmed in the making of this video.

Amazing Husband and Father
Chris gave me a break from the normal routine yesterday. He watched Savannah while I went shopping! YAY! So much fun! I got some new shoes (they had a killer deal!) and new running shoes (Chris' present to me for my birthday, a little early because I was dying to go running). I made the mistake of going into the bead store next to the shoe store, appropriately named Beadaholic.
We planned on going to get our new cell phones and change our numbers when I got home from shopping. We barely got down the street when Savannah started throwing up...a wrench in a perfect day. I felt so bad for her. I stayed home with Savannah who proceeded to throw up for the next three hours while Chris took care of the phones. I was a little nervous about what phone he would pick out for me...He did great, my phone is awesome and he even got a pink case for me. I seriously have the BEST husband in the world!

Growing up SO fast
Yesterday I noticed a large lump under Savannah's gums and they looked swollen. I thought just maybe it was a tooth, but she didn't seem too grumpy and usually babies are pretty fussy when they are teething. This morning I woke up to find Savannah's very first tooth starting to poke through. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up, at this rate next thing I know I'll be planning a wedding.

Sweet Savannah
Today while Chris and I were watching a show, Savannah was playing on my lap. Suddenly she reached up and grabbed my lip/chin in her fist turned my head towards her and planted wet lips to mine! She did it twice! I was laughing SOOO hard!
Memory Lane
Recently for an assignment in school I had to write about some of my life experiences and people who have influenced me. The assignment reminded me of some pretty funny things!
My grandmother is the BEST when it comes to forgiveness!!! For some reason whenever my cousins and I got together when we were little we would get in BIG trouble. I can remember several times when we messed up things at her house and had to go tell her. Specifically I remember one time we were going to put on a play for the family. We were trying to find a quite place (away from the other kids) to practice so they wouldn’t see our play before we performed. We decided that Grandmother’s craft room was the best place. She had locked it to keep the little kids from ruining her things. We found the key and let ourselves in. While practicing our play we got a little distracted. My cousin and I decided to have a karate war…one kick…and BOOM!!! Rachel went flying into the tower of paint cans! (Grandmother’s house was on the market and they were in the process of painting all the rooms) One of the paint cans spilt ALL OVER Grandmother’s brand new carpet! She was so quick to forgive us. I remember being terrified when my mom told us we had to tell her. Another time my cousin Danielle and I were making cookies one Sunday afternoon. All of the adults were napping. For some reason we had decided that the cookies tasted better if you threw the dough up in the air a few times before cooking it…well the throwing got a little out of control…one of the cookies stuck to the ceiling of Grandmother’s 4 month old house and left a big greasy spot! Panicked we threw flour on the ceiling to try to cover our tracks, we even took tooth picks and tried to scrap all the dough out of the pattern on the ceiling. Once we realized it was still noticeable despite our best efforts we knew we had to tell Grandmother. She laughed!

Blueberry Girl!
Blueberries are VERY messy!!! The whole time I was feeding them to her I was thinking about Violet from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, you know the part where she eats the chewing gum she wasn't suppose to and blew up like a blueberry!
