Jeff had the opportunity to go to a training class in Houston, so we decided we'd make a trip out of it and I flew in for the weekend! Needless to say Houston really isn't that great! At least we didn't think so! We really wanted to go to an Astros game, but as luck would have it they were on the road that weekend. So Saturday Jeff and I decided to head on down to Galveston and check it out! It really wasn't that impressive! It was still recovering from the hurricane from last year and was pretty sad! The only pier was still tore to pieces and the beach, well lets just say its not like the ones in Mexico!! Thank goodness while I was at the Denver airport I talked with a kid from Houston and he said to go check out Kemah Boardwalk! So we left Galveston and headed to Kemah! It was pretty neat and hot!!! The sailboats were beautiful and there was a million of them! Are next trip will be to Germany with Jeff's work, so hopefully its better than Texas!!!!

So Kortlin thinks SpongeBob lives in Texas! (any of you who watch SpongeBob knows thats were Sandy Cheeks the squirrel is from) Anyway, what are the chances we find a SpongeBob statue at Kemah Boardwalk and to top things off on Sunday when we are leaving the hotel what was waiting out side the door? A squirrel!!
