Eve is now 11 months old as of today, and that is quite crazy to us as parents. She is still petite, but she is starting to develop more of her own personality, which can be good or bad. She is crawling all over the place, climbing stairs, and asserting her independence at dinner time. I'm sure I haven't had to bare the brunt of it (since I have been studying...and studying...and studying), but since Sandi told me to write this post, I get to control the facts.
Without further ado, the pictures. We have been meaning to post, you know, about CHRISTMAS, but with all the sledding and studying we've been doing, there hasn't been much time. So, here's a few.
Christmas pajamas are a big deal in Sandi's family (or more importantly with Sandi), so Eve posed perfectly for the camera for the big moment.
And as you can see she was quite thrilled with the whole concept. She has been pulling herself up on things for quite a while and can shuffle herself around boxes, tables and the like.
We went to what appears to be a rave, but was really just cosmic bowling at "Fat Cats."
And here is Eve during the holidays.
Otherwise related to Christmas (and not to Eve, surprisingly) Sandi spent the bulk of December making a very lovely quilt for her mom. She put a lot of time into it, and it turned out great. Especially for the level of difficulty for her first quilting attempt.
She also made a couple of shark ties for her nephews (she spent a lot of time behind a sewing machine).
The greatest gift given this year, and the classiest, by far, was a D.I. find for my dad (who was recovering from back surgery. Laughter is the best medicine!).
For those that can't read it is "The Herpes Book." Ah...the awesome treasures awaiting you at thrift stores. Sandi took this next set of pictures one day feeding Eve. It is an awesome set of pictures that shows off her personality.
She is funny, even when she is asleep. Here she is sound asleep with her butt in the air.
Now that she can pull herself up to sitting, if she stubbornly doesn't want to take a nap when Sandi puts her down, she can end up like this
Or if we ignore her pleas to be put down for a nap, she ends up like this.
Eve also has a favorite spot in the front room. She likes to look out the window and knock on it if she gets super excited. I've been meaning to go and take a picture from the outside, but alas, the bar owns my soul until Wednesday.
Finally, Sandi made a 3-tier cake for her mom's birthday. It looked great and tasted even better! Sandi, however disagrees, and the picture is being posted at the risk to my safety. Apparently, the fondant work was not up to her liking or her standards. So there.
And, there you have it. See you in a month when we document Eve's 1 year mark. Crazy.
