Men are Honest?!!

Hello everyone,
I got another story today. I hope it is able to tell you "something" after reading it. I hope even more that this story will stir up a debate which at the end will help us all live better lives and lifestyles. Enjoy!!
One day, a wood cutter was cutting a branch of a tree towering over a river when his axe-head fell into the river. He cried out and the Lord appeared and asked, "Why are you crying?!" The woodcutter replied that his axe-head had fallen into the water, and he needed his axe to make a living. The Lord went down into the water and re-appeared with a golden axe-head. "Is this your axe-head?", the Lord asked.
The woodcutter replied, "No." The Lord again went down and came up with a silver axe-head. "Is this your axe?", the Lord asked. Again, the woodcutter replied, "No." The Lord went down again and came up with an iron axe-head. "Is this your axe-head?", the Lord asked. The woodcutter replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the man's honesty and gave him all three axes to keep, and the woodcutter went home happy.

Some time later the woodcutter was walking with his wife along the riverbank, and his wife fell into the river (how that happened! na inside story)lol... When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, "Why are you crying? "Oh Lord, please help!! My wife has fallen into the river and I don't not know how to swim"
The Lord went down into the river and came up with ANGELINA JOLIE "Is this your wife?" the Lord asked.. "Yes," cried the woodcutter, the Lord was furious. "You lied! That is not true and you know it!!" The woodcutter replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding, you see, if I had said 'no' to ANGELINA JOLIE, You would have come up with MEGAN FOX. Then if I said 'no' to her, you would have come up with my wife .
Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I am a poor man, and am not able to take care of all three wives. So that is my reason for saying yes to ANGELINA JOLIE ." Lol.
MORAL OF THE STORY (and I can't believe I am deducing this conclusion by myself)lol: Whenever a man lies, it is for a good and honorable reason, and for the benefit of others. Do you agree? Why? And if you do not agree, why not? I wish I could answer, but I'm going to keep me and my big mouth out of it for now... I will save my comment for last. Let the Debate b-e-g-i-n...

TRUST

My people!
I've got lots of gists (stories) to tell you but the thing be say I don dey feel lazy anyhow to the point of not doing anything sef. So I beg, make una de remember me for una prayers, you hear?lol... This my pidgin English get as e be sha, but make una take me as una see me... Just like that.
I stumbled upon this story and just like I always do, I am bringing it on here, to lift up someone's spirit and bring hope to us all.
One day, a little girl and her father were crossing a foot-bridge. The father who was petrified about falling into the bridge because of the phobia he has for heights said to his little daughter, 'Sweetheart, go ahead... Hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river.' The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.'  'What's the difference?' asked the puzzled father. 'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl.

'If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.'

Moral of the story: In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours... Songs of Solomon 8:6 says that
Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Imagine the kind and power of the trust that proceeds out of love.
And if we allow God to hold our hands, no matter what happens in life, we know that He will never let us go. Thank you all for the comments on my last post, I also appreciate my new followers *extends hands for a long lasting friendship* please stick and stay with me.
I thank God the strike in Naija is over, and I hope all my friends over there are doing fine.
Finally, I'd like to ask (thinking of the relationship between the girl and her father), should we be afraid to love when love is pure? And should we be afraid of trusting when love has proven itself? Should we run away from love when it finds us? And who can share tips on staying in love without loosing your mind or being distracted?lol (don't mind me... Seriously). Bring it on!!!
Peace... I'm out

Life: Deep and Unpredictable...

Friends,

During the 31st December 2011 all night service at the church where I worship, an incident happened, whose succeeding event, has shaken me so much that, since that time up til now, I haven't really been myself.

We all got to church excited and looking forward to the exciting moments in God's presence which will usher in 2012. After worship session, the MC allowed for testimonies and a lady who I haven't really seen in church before came to also testify of the goodness of God. Paramount to the other things she said God had done for her was God delivering her from all sort of death-threatening demonic attacks.

So, about half an hour to midnight, we started praying to welcome the new year. While the prayer was going on, we noticed this lady who I spoke about in the earlier paragraph, had fallen and was vomiting. So the pastor asked that we all pray for her because she was going through another demonic attack.

After praying for her, the pastor instructed that she be taken to the hospital, and we continued with the service. I was informed later that morning that the lady died in the hospital and I'm like whaaaaaatt!!!!!

Since that day, I have asked myself so many questions... Questions like:
* Why didn't God save her (because I know He has the power to) even after her testimony of His goodness towards her?
* Why did she still die despite all the prayers we made on her behalf?
* Would she have been dead now had she not testified?
* What is it about life that one minute you have it but the next, you are not too sure what to expect?

But just as it is written in the bible that we should give thanks to God in every situation (because that is the will of God for us through Jesus Christ-1Thessalonians5:18) and also to watch and to pray. This lady would have died in the church auditorium had there been a little delay, and this would have led to a grievous police scandal; not adding what the press would have said about my pastor and the church.

We serve a living God... A God who knew us even before we were born; a God who is before the very foundation of our lives. So as believers, we have to understand that God was there before us and will still be there even after us. This is why we have to be confident that if we get Him involved in all things pertaining  to our lives, He will always perfect our ways.

May God have mercy on us all and teach us to number our days so we can always apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Peace....... I'm out!

This is it!!!

Hello wonderful people,
I am excited. Very excited to be among the living today to be celebrating the Lords goodness, my heart goes out to all those who were victims either directly or indirectly on the Christmas day bombing in some part of Nigeria, my prayers are with you and yours, it is well.

In this year, tell all those who have refused to see the good in you to hang on a minute! Tell your critics to stay tuned for a great show ahead! as for your admires, oh! tell them they haven't seen anything yet! also, tell all those who wish/plan to see you 6feet down to better bury themselves in their own pits because My God... Your God... Our God... He is awesome! He will continue to make us outstanding in all our days in this new year.

The Almighty will
Uplift us,
Elevate us,
Motivate us,
Surprise us,
Celebrate us,
Provide for us,
Expand us,
Bless us,
Favor us,
Enlarge our coast,
Open doors for us,
Prosper us,
Protect us & above all Preserve us.

By His precepts, we shall thrive in every area of life in this year. And just as we celebrated His goodness in 2011, we shall have reasons to continue to celebrate His goodness at the end of 2012. Yes!!! We shall see the end of 2012! You'll see... Happy New Year to you all.

Peace... I'm out
