Group work over msn was NOT successful. Everyone has their own things to do, especially when on the net. gahh, anyway, finally we got a question and staying back one hour after school tomorrow for some REAL group work. *phew*

Pub today was okay, i was dejected over the blending part, it's SO HARD to be a professional.
I hereby name Yujun to be 神手1 , serene to be 神手2 and finally corinne to be 神手3! They ALWAYS manage to make something from bad to OMG WHOOO GOOD! :)

Oh and, they have different styles too. Corinne is the guniang one, Serene is the chor lor one, and Yujun is the artistic one. so cool :) i have lots to learn and lots to 放下 too.

Finally i see things coming together.
But im still racking my bird brains over investiture. it's so hard. hard hard hard. harder than diamond.

OH GUESS WHAT. I WENT TO THE DOCTOR LIKE FINALLY YESTERDAY (SUNDAY) AT BEDOK. AND THE DOCTOR REFERRED ME TO CHANGI GERNEAL HOSPITAL. APPOINTMENT ON 14TH JULY.
PERHAPS, IF I GET BETTER I CAN CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT.
IM REALLY SAD, IF ONLY I DIDN'T DO ANY STRETCHING ON THAT STUPID FATEFUL DAY.
BECAUSE NOW IM EXEMPTED FROM NAPFA AND PE FOR A MONTH! LIKE A MONTH! AND NAPFA! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO NAPFA! SHEESH! AND PE! MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT! PPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!

INDUCTION CAMP WAS A SUCCESS! THOUGH IT'S NOT A CAMP, IT'S ONLY A ONE DAY "WELCOME ABOARD" SESSION BUT IT WAS COOL.

Though i must say that i was certainly disappointed in the new councillors when they came to the ice breaker games, they were so dead, with no zest nor passion. maybe a few, but the majority were dying.
Ice breaker games kinda dragged for too long and everyone wwas bored, yunxuan and i couldn't think of anything else to play, so we decided that it's for a little talk session.
i shared my story. haha my pa + functions + jasmine + kelyn story.
The objective is to tell them the power of bonding!
However, i don't really see a big improvement when the camp came to an end. but im satisfied with my new pubtions members.

after camp, had AAR about camp. Then people stayed back, sec twos did cardboard while some people did the banner, serene helped to touch up on mural.
Was racing with time, put Mrs Lim into a spot too.
Left at around 8.30pm.
Qinhui, yujun, javier, jinni, yunxuan and i had dinner at 18 chefs simei.
then we went home. i was so tired!

Oh anyway for months we have been saying "must wait for the secones to come in first" and finally they are here! i hope everything gets back on track, and training starts soon :)
and i can shift my pa work to the new sec ones SOON. i hope hope hope HOPE!

oh, i had a hard time reaching yannis and mrs koh.
i called and called yannis, but immediately when the call was through, it was rejected. i was so pissed!
Then i called yannis' home, no one picked it up.
I called claire to ask if yannis is anywhere she know. then she went online to check if she's there.
meanwhile, i called mrs koh. call and call and call. i gave up. then i called again, her number was busy. so i didn't call for a few minutes then i started calling again, SHE JUST WON'T PICK UP HER PHONE!
i smsed her. didn't reply.
finally i called claire again to ask if yannis is online, she said ya she is, and she just told yannis my number so she's going to call me.
I waited for a few mintues after i hung up the call with claire and see if yannis would be calling. she didn't.
so i called her home, she picked up.
she told me that she lost her phone.

after pub, i called yannis's handphone again to see who will pick up, since she said that she lost it. this time my call wasn't rejected. and yannis picked up?!?! i was like so surprised, and she said that her phone was with her parents @.@ i don't know what's happening lols! -.-

i made a stupid mistake. pub ended super duper uber late. and we didn't even do anything productive. And TEN was temporary transformed into a garung guni collection centre. We left school at 8.30pm.

*if jasmine happened to read this, don't worry, we kinda packed up, it looks MUCH neater now.

i don't want to say much, just that, my fingernails have bits of paint everywhere. sigh!
&my back hurts badly, real badly.
i can't bend, i can't laugh, i can't pee, i can't sneeze, i can't cough, i can't walk, i can't climb up the stairs, i can't run, i can't do anything without hurting, even if i stand up straight and don't move, it just hurts.

Thursday 19th June.

Last day of council training workshop.
Because of poor attendance (we could not hit 15 people) for sec threes, we had to move and join the rest of the sec twos in TEN.
&so Coach Juliana didn't get a chance to interact with us, Coach Sabrina was the lead talker for that day.

I felt really bad because Coach Juliana must have had put in alot of effort to tell us stuff, maybe related to council too. and i love her stories. but it's just such a pity she didn't get to tell us what she had prepared.

But the workshop turned out fine with Coach Sabrina as the main.

We had two group activities.
First was the M&M company game. we were to think of unlimited things to put in an M&M and then present to the coaches (who are supposingly the M&M chairmans) and why they should take their idea and stuff like that.
one group broke record and got 143 ideas.

Second and the last group activity before we were dismissed, it was the Egg game, create something to protect your egg so it won't break when we throw down.
MAGIC EGGCRAFT won the KAMPONG people! haha!! we only had a crack, theirs BROKE! :D

Anyway it wasn't much that day, Coach Sabrina didn't share stories, i think mainly because she wasn't from this school.

*Oh, but Coach Juliana is invited to our Investiture 9th July!


Haven't been blogging much.

Friday 20th June
Reached school to meet up with Potato and Serene.
Then took Mrs Lim car to Bras Basah. Ate at Macs. Talked about lots of stuff. :D funny stuff. interesting stuff.

Then we decided to leave and go to Bras Basah Complex.
Went to get paint. Haha! Darren was damn retarded, he squirted red paint onto his forehead!
But later i squirted some on my fringe and after serene cleaned it off for me, i look like i had my fringe dyed! Darren was so jealous x)

We bought 6 big tubs of paints, some brushes and two small bottles of god and silver. It cost a BOMB! it was like $300++. One big tub of paint already $51!

Then went to Blk 201 to get banner, but no white, so Mrs Lim said she will get it during the weekends.
She dropped serene at Tampines Mall and darren and I in school, to move what we bought into the AVT. then she drove us downhill to tanah merah mrt station.

That was my Friday.

Slept at 4am on Saturday.
Slept at 3am on Sunday.

Monday, 23 June
PA duty, mic not working properly. just totally turned me off.
The school should seriously upgrade our PA equipment. They're old, gonna spoil anytime and will screw up the event.
Stayed back for EXCO meeting.

Slept at 11pm on Monday.

Today, Tuesday, 24 June
Council duty in the morning.
Had a change in classroom for Chinese lesson.
Stayed back for pub. Im glad we kinda almost done with mural. now left with banner not painted at all.

Tomorrow Guitar sectionals at 3pm, Council meeting at 3.30pm.

18th June -second day of training workshop/camp

Because the canteen stalls were all closed, javier, tzy, joseph, yunxuan, kelyn, jasmine and I went to 85 to eat.
Kelyn and I shared cheese waffle and chicken rice.

It started raining, we have 7 people and two umbrellas, in the end decided not to use it and just walk in the rain.
Jasmine and I ran while the others walked.
We were drenched and the AVT was cold. My hair was flat :D

She shared with us the Snicker Bar story.
Which was...... (im so lazy to type it out. gahhh!)

There's this guy who called back to his father and requested for his father to come and visit him because he won't live any longer and really wanna see his parents.
But the father is only a trucker, and he has not enough money to make a trip to see his son.
So he went to the telephone booth (there's no handphone then, and no house phone. the telephone booth was literally A BOOTH.) and he told the person behind the booth.
"sir, sir, can you let me use the telephone, im really poor and i can't pay you the money right now but i promise that when i get the money i will pay you back. Please sir, i promise. really."
And so the telephone booth person was very kind and he said, "alright, nevermind, you don't need to pay for it, just use it, just use it."
The father went to the telephone and suddenly a young man called him, "Hey Uncle ____, Im _____remember me?"
The father was puzzled for he did not recognise the young man.
Actually the young man was the father's son's best friend, ever since they were very young.
"So Uncle, how's _____ doing right now?"
The father told him about his son, like how he's injured and dying and wants him to go over to visit but he has no money so he decided to just make a call to say that as soon as he gets money he will fly over.
But this father is a man of dignity, he didn't want to sound like a beggar so he didn't ask if the young man can lend him money.
...After the young man left, and the father ended his call, he was on his way out when the person behind the booth called out to him,
"Hey, you know what, you don' tneed to pay for your booth money anymore. The young man that was standing in front of you just now helped you pay and he gave me this, to pass it to you."
The father took the envelope that the person behind the booth passed to him.
Inside the envelope was an empty cheque!

Actually, when this young boy was very young, the father was the first guy who allowed him to sit on his truck and fetched him back home from school. And there's was one day that the father even gave him a snicker bar.
The young boy was then very grateful and today, wanted to repay that small act of kindness that the father had showed him years back.

This story goes to show that any act of kindness was enough to make someone feel good, feel cared for, to change someone's opinion about you, and to make someone remember that act of kindness for life.
It also means that it doesn't mean you do kind acts now and expect a return in future. It's just how every act, every word that you once said to someone in an act of kindness will impact and influence that someone.

Yup, and during the workshop, we were splitted into groups again and went out to the concourse. There were a few games, for the first one, only four people can go. So Jasmine, Zhouyang, Tzy Harn and I played "Spot the difference" All thanks to Jasmine, Zhouyang and Tzy Harn (sorry i didn't manage to spot any HAHA) we won the other group. So we can continue with the second game. THe second game only allow two people to go. So chelsea and Tricia went. WE WON!
The third thing is a group thing, once chelsea and Tricia won, we chained our arms together and hopped side ways from outside avt to the mural board stage.
Then the fourth task was to form a star shaped with all out members..
The fifth was to form a bicycle. We lost out to the other team in that one.
Then it was council cheer!
We did HUR HUR HUR! first that was led by zhouyang. Then we did Kemama led by corn.
then finally led by serene, we did Oh Anglican! on stage. so the stamping was super loud!

Then we returned to the avt. and was supposed to have role play, but no time. So we just thought of the ways to help the person given our two different scenarios and presented it to the rest.
And the workshop then came to an end.

I will talk about 19th June's workshop later or some other day.
Going to buy pain with serene and darren at bras basah. Mrs Lim fetching us there whoo!

Had Council workshop/training after school today.
Sec threes were in the AVT and the sec twos were in the TEN.
Guess who is our speaker/coach?
Juliana!
She's council's ex ex ex ex president!
ex president = jiajie
ex ex president = Junle
ex ex ex president = sok shin
ex ex ex ex president = juliana.

Apparently cause she's till on a holiday so she's working in this company. Something like "top achievers ..."

Well, many thought that this workshop thing would be something boring and we will be moulding our asses into the seats of the AVT, but it turned out well.

At least it's because coach juliana was engaging and also because she was once from this school and council, she knows where we are coming from and able to talk and we understand what she's aiming at.

We played "Monkey see monkey do" game. where the zoo keeper will have to guess who is the monkey leader by the actions and what we do.

Then we played "Jigsaw run" two groups, two lines, two checkpoints. First checkpoint is to retrieve a jigsaw and run to the second checkpoint. you can choose to leave the jigsaw there and run back for your turn to take more or stay there to fit the jigsaw together.

Im in group one and we lost. *sigh*


She shared many of her experiences in anglican high, cca and council.
I must say that she's quite a fighter.
Like being a basketball player in primary school but committed herself to badminton in ahs because her sister wants her to. And being pointed out by her coach and isolated during every training, everyday a week for six months to the corner of the hall where the mirror stands and all she do is hold her racket and swing it. that's because she was new to badminton and didn't know how to serve. Her other friends are playing and learning footwork but there she was, same spot, same place for six months swinging her racket.
And that was how she worked her way up. After six months she finally get to join the rest of her friends and managed to play doubles in the National finals. And rised to being a badminton captain.

Then there was the council. She was quiet but again, committed to her work in council/publicity.
But there was this peer of hers, also in council, who was well liked by everybody.
So when she and him were down for the school elections, his friends made banners and cheers for him. And she could only get a few friends and do the banner along with them.
But to everyone's surprise, she emerged president!

However, not everything was smooth of course. Many in council were displeased that that popular guy didn't become president so they defy her orders. It took her six month (again) to gain their trust and finally, after she had convinced them, they were so close.

And that's how FAMILY DAY came about.
It's a pity that this story wasn't passed down, for im sure family day would be something fun. Unfortunately it has been striked off our list of camps because of poor attendance.

Juliana's batch didn't want a farewell to be like .. investiture.. exchange badge.. hughug.. crycry, then leave. They wanted to have a very last outing, the whole council together once again. So they all went to Pulau Ubin, cycled and hung out. And then family day was passed down for three years until last year.

Her batch started many things.
Council's motto: "Role models in serving and leading"

Recreation and Enterprise ice cream "Cool Creme" shop
The policy of allowing sports shoes which was finally implemented last year 2007.

I think she has given me, at least, a bigger and brighter picture about council.
like, if their batch can achieve so many things, why can't we make the now-everyone-says-or-thinks-as-screwed-council back to the life and fun and well respected council it had once been four years back and upwards?

my taiwan trip? hmm yes, good question.
I don't really feel like elaborating SO much on it because i will break my fingers from all the typing and bore you guys out.
So i shall just grasp a little on the main and interesting points.

I took China airlines on my way to Taiwan and the plane food was nice! Iate breakfast, it was even better than SIA's. But the facilities wasn't that good. I mean, they didn't have a tv.

Weather was 25 degree celsius. So it was rather cooling.

He's funny, he explains well and he recommends good stuff to us.


1st day
Went to ximending and i ate choudoufu!

and mango ice shaving and yam ice shaving. oh and we ate this really nice bowl of mee sua.
didn't really shop because it rained and it dampened everything. drank milk tea. it was damn nice! bought from 50 gang3 the pearls are tiny but extremely chewy!

Later, we went to shih lin night market and i ate qi li xiang. Which is the top pointed part of the chicken backside. haha it's kinda nice.
I also ate guan1 cai2 ban3 / "coffin"

and this really huge fried chicken piece.
and oyster omelete,

radish soup and this red sauce plus dumpling (i forgot what's it called).
i drank qing1 wa1 xia4 dan4 ("frog lay egg") it's a drink and the name doesn't have a link to the drink itself. It's simply a drink with lemon, and jelly inside. so while drinking you're also sucking the jelly upwards. but it was really nice and i liked it alot.

oh we also drank many cups white bitter gourd juice which is said to reduce heat. it's basically white in colour ahah and the first taste is sweet but the after taste is bitter,. however, if you keep drinking, it will taste better!


2nd day
There was this hotel which we stayed in that was really good and nice, and we were supposed to go for HOTSPRING. Which was within the hotel. My dad and i went.
whooooo the water was damn hot! one that's 37.8 degree celsius and another 39.2 degree celsius.
you must go for the hot one then the cold one to close your pores.
DURING the DIPPING and SOAKING, i really felt good you know, like i was really relaxed and stuff like that.
But after that, i really felt terrible!
i felt more tired and aching than ever, my stomach feels bloated but yet im so hungry.
Maybe its a side effect. I don't know but that was the worst time i felt during my trip.

3rd day
Went to some street. Didn't eat anything. my sister bought the nice chewy pearl milktea again. but found a cosy coffee place called Crown and Fancy. The coffee and sweet stuff there were realllly nice and the environment was thumbs up too! bought this muachi which has real strawberry inside and red bean. ultra sweet but yummy!

4th day
There was this part of the tour where we visited some herb garden and then there was this transvertile show that we were supposed to watch.
My comments are: Both amazing and uncomfortable.

amazing because some of them really really really really look like a woman. like SERIOUSLY! THEY LOOK 98 PERCENT LIKE A WOMAN AND BEHAVES LIKE ONE TOO.

you wanna know what happened to the 2percent?
woman don't have shows that are entitled "transvertile show"
woman don't make themselves so hiao with no sense of guilt.
Im really sorry to say that, but some of them were really too overboard.

&this is when the uncomfortable part steps in.
It's really scary when they stepped down the stage and walks towards the audience because you don't know what they are going to do.. and if they want you to do something, you won't have a choice!
But they mostly aim men, whether or not you're married with kids.
This guy from another tour got sat on the lap by one and she forced him to kiss her.
Really forced like she took his head and pulled it to her cheek.
&like rubbing ones boobs onto our coach driver.

When the performance was over, this girl went around with a tips box. We gave 100taibi. and then we were allowed to take photos if we wanted to. As this was the first time we watched this kind of perforamance, we wanted to take one for a memory.
and so we did. two people can't be seen though.

In taiwan, there's this instant noodles; Qmian. which was really nice. So we bought four bowls back to singapore.

Went to the theme park on the 4th day.

There was water activities and of course themepark-kind-of-rides. My mum didn't allow me to play with the water so i sat on two roller coasters and a ferris wheel.
The two roller coasters were THRILLING.
The first one was a short ride but there was this 90 degree turn straight down and that made me feel like i was flying off my seat upwards.

the process was like this.
We ascended the slope slowly, then when we reached peak, we started to pick up speed. Then there was a pause, pause then we kinda stopped at the edge of the 90 dgree turn down. and then suddenly with no warning, WHOOOOOOOOOOOSH! without pausing anymore, after
the 90 degree turn it shot upwards again and there was a half turn and then pause pause *camera clicks* and the coaster came to a stop.

definitely too fast for you to react that you're feeling scared. The moment you find that the ride was too scary for you, you've reached the end.

Ferris wheel. It was like any other ferris wheel ride only that before you board, you have to take a picture.

Then my sister roped me in for another roller coaster ride. I was kinda reluctant at first because it was a much longer distance then the first one i took.
But in the end i gave in to the temptation.
It was even more thrilling! There was a 80 degree turn and upside down turn, a half upside down turn more loops and soon i started to enjoy the ride.
When i got off, i felt like i was floating.

Bought some interesting stuff at the themepark :)

went back to the hotel, had our dinner then was brought back near the themepark vicinity to watch a roller coaster ride with the seat jerking up and down, tilting left and right. it was way cool. and later on, an acrobat show which was very fantastic other than the people walking up the walls horizontally with no string.
and later on, another transvertile show which left me feeling MORE uncomfortable and queasy.
There are really some digusting dirty old man around. yuck!

oh and as usual, after the performance they were positioned outside the exit to drag people to take pictures with them. i didn't take a photo with them.
And they were freaking tall! like yeah, 180 or something.

5th day

Went to jiu3 fen4 street in the afternoon to buy muachi and jelly.
then ate fishball soup, lamian and beef noodles which was very nice, the meat was really tender.
Went to some street in the evening and ate yummy take balls, fried mushroom, drank qing1 wa1 xia4 dan4 again. and ate this really nice dish that i forgot what's it called but its a big doufu, with dong fen inside and nice sauce on the outside. you have to break open and mix it thoroughly with the sauce and eat it, NICE!

6th day
- i forgot where we went.

7th day
We were brought to buy lots of expensive stuff, my sis and i called this day the spend lots of money day. We were brought to buy green tea for detoxification, raw royal jelly and lingzhi. oh and we went to buy tai4 yang2 bing and feng4 li2 su1.

In the afternoon-evening, went to wu3 fen1 pu3 to buy cehap sutff but things there aren't that cheap.
In the late evening, took a train to taipei, shopped and eat at the mrt station area.. there was really good guo1 tie1 and dumplings there.

i think that's about it. and i basically talked about everything! oh, except the nice scenery places that we went to. next time then!

im watching kungfu panda with my sister tomorrow! :D :D
