Looking back on 5 years!

I can’t believe that I have been married for 5 years. Our offical anniversary is tomorrow the 30th of December. Aaron and I meet while going to school in Pocatello at ISU. It has been a wonderful 5 years.

Sorry the pic bellow aren't the best. They are kind of pic of a pic because we didn't have any digital prints. And I don’t have a scanner. So this is the best I could do.

Our engagement pic

my pre bridal pic

Yes I wore flip flops, my feet froze! I had planed out my wedding when i was just a little girl and I had always wanted to have a summer wedding. Well it just didn't work out that way so I was still going to have my summer wedding just in the winter time. I had my flip flops and my colors were yellow and periwinkle. It was allot of fun trying to find every thing because every one had winter Christmas colors not summer ones. but we managed and I loved how every thing turned out.
I just like this pic

This was our fist christmas togeather as a married cupple. Aaron made me a hope chest, yes he made it with out any kind of pattern. He is so talanted, I love every thing he makes me.

This was a pic we took the fist day that we moved into our fist apt. we were both so excite

My 5 favorite things about Aaron
1. He is so dang talented. He can make almost anything out of wood. I love having a handy man.
2. He is a wonderful father
3. He can cook better then me.
4. He is a hard worker, and is always there to help any one who needs help.
5 He is so patient with a wife who drives him crazy sometimes.

First time skier

Ok my baby went skiing for the very fist time. I was a little nervous but she loved it. She didn’t want to stop. She is going to be a good little skier. Her daddy was very proud of her.

Look how little those skies are! Cassidy told us that she did want big ski’s like her dad she wanted small Cassidy ski’s she is so funny!

This is a pic of Cassidy rosy cheeks after being out in the cold all night. I couldn't believe how happy she was, I was freezing and she could have stayed out there all night. She is defiantly allot like her father.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. Cassidy was so excited, she loved putting out the cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. It was so hard to get her to sleep the night before Christmas, she wanted Santa to come so bad so that she could open all her presents. She is so fun!

Playing in the snow

Monday, December 15, 2008

Well I am getting so excited for Christmas! This is the first Christmas that Cassidy really knows what is going on. She tells us every night that Santa is going to come to her house, and leave her a sleeping beauty toy that sings. We will have to wait and see!

Over the weekend we made Christmas candy with my mom and dad, we had a very good time. Aaron showed my mom how to make peanut brittle. My husbands is amazing he can bake and make candy way better then I ever could. We make peanut brittle every year and give it out as gifts.

This is the bread that my mom and I made. It is called curly bread and it is a family favorite. I had so much fun making the bread and Aaron loved it, he has already eaten a hole loaf by him self.

Aarons grandma used to put a train up every year, and the Christmas right before Aaron and I were married my mom bought Aaron this train. We put it up every year and Cassidy loves it. She is always playing with it and starting it. It is such a great tradition to have !
Our little Christmas town.

Just some more decorations

This a nativity that we started the first Christmas Aaron and I spent together as a married couple, and every year we add something new to it. We only have two more years and then our collection well be completed
This is our Christmas tree we took out of the mountains with our own two hands ( or I should say Aaron did but we were their watching him and playing in the snow. )

Another family tradition we started is every Christmas eve we all get a new or dement, these are just some that we have gotten for each other! Guess who’s is who’s!

Ok so on Aaron mission they spent time with a family that had the coolest Christmas tradition, It is called the LEGEND OF THE PICKLE! Here is the legend.

(There is and old legend that a pickle brings good luck and supposed to be the last ornament placed on the Christmas tree. On Christmas morning the first child to find the gerkin ornament was rewarded with and extra gift from St. Nicholas. The tradition encouraged the children to appreciate all the beautiful ornaments on the tree, rather then rushing to see what old St. Nick had left for them.)
Well I loved the story about the pickle and thought it would be a really fun tradition to start in our own family so for Christmas 2 years ago I got Aaron a Christmas pickle for his or dement.
Cassidy know all about the extra gift she will get if she finds the pickle and she finds it every day, she doesn’t like it when we tell her it doesn’t count tell Christmas morning.

This will probably be my last post before Christmas so I just want to tell every one merry Christmas! And I am sure I will have lots to post after Christmas!
