Hello dear Simply Neutrals friends!
It makes me so happy to see what this gathering together in our mutual love for neutral colours means to you. The sweet messages you send me, the gratitude and happiness, it's heart warming.
And I notice it can help us feel inspired to get back to blogging and/or crafting, which is so so wonderful to see! And this is so true for me as well. Because otherwise, well, you know, life tends to get in the way :) So here's a page spread I'm working on in my woods inspired journal, a work in progress still. Just like I am a work in progress still :)
Feature of last week
Dear Jesse of Lace Age Girl posted on her blog a story that really touched my heart.
She made a couple of gorgeous collages in honor of the woman who's old baby photo she used. Please go to Jesse's blog to read the touching story if you haven't done so yet.
Her story was another witness and reminder to me of how important it is to really stop and listen to each other. Listen to each other's stories and sorrows and joys.
And to gather and share with each other.
I feel blessed to have met here some wonderful, generous, and caring women, through blogging. We are each on our own computer, most of the times were literally miles apart from each other. But it is heart warming to see us gathering and sharing as if we lived next door.

FAQ
Some of you asked if it is okay to post and/or link up from our blog and creative archives.
The answer is a positive yes absolutely! Please feel free to do just so! Looking back through what we created and/or blogged about before, can trigger a whole lot of new inspiration, as I found out. Besides, we cannot possibly have seen everything of everyone before, so it is really nice to bring back to light the things from the archives that would otherwise stay buried, get dusty, and be forgotten.
On to this week's party!
SIMPLY NEUTRALS #32
To join the party, please keep the following things in mind:
1) Please link only to the blogpost that contains the photo(s) you want to share, and not to your blog's homepage.
2) Kindly link back to AppleApricot by putting a link to my blog in your blogpost.
Of course you're most welcome to use the blog button of Simply Neutrals Tuesday as well
(which can be found in the sidebar of my blog)
3) Link ups to both new and older blog posts are welcome.
Of course it would be nice if you link up to a new or recent blog post, but if there is something from the archives you'd really want to link up here, then please feel welcome to do so.
4) You can link up from your blog, but if you do not have a blog but would love to link up from your instagram or other social media account, that's perfectly fine too.
Beware though, that may be not everyone can come visit and/or leave you a comment there.
5) Please take time to visit some of the other link ups and send them some love.
The most recently added link ups will show in the list first.
Time for the link up!
xx Wen

I have been enjoying the link ups and truly love your blog posts. So happy you have brought Simple Neutrals back. I've just been unorganized with so much it seems. "LIFE" just is keeping me detained at the moment. Lovely journal you are creating. Enjoy a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Sylvia, thank you so much :) I'm glad you enjoy the link ups. And I know that feeling of being unorganized, trust me, life has a tendency to throw in a whole lot of unexpected things. Some welcome, others not so.

Thank you sweetie :) I'm glad you enjoy the gathering dear, you're so welcome! Big hugs xx
DeleteSo wonderful! Wish, I could vreate such beautiful and pure things -
ReplyDeleteBut real life is never clean and white, sigh! I fear, my stories are not fitting well to the others... I cannot find for myself this flight in pure beauty.
Enjoy your time
Dearest Mascha, I always love your entries to this link up, because they show that other side of life as well, and also the beauty of it. It's good to have the balance between dark and light. Life is not ment to be light only. Your photos of the old buildings and of nature are so beautiful, I hope you keep on sharing them with us. Big hugs and love, xx
DeleteSuch an adorable wee baby! Those old photos are so wonderful and so often discarded. Breaks my heart when I see them in thrift stores - unnamed and unloved.
ReplyDeleteYes, I feel the same when I see this too - family trees lost forever, unidentified and orphaned.
DeleteMe too, and it's so heart warming to see how these people are honoured with the beautiful art work that's been made with their photos!
DeleteDear Wen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring my collages this week on your blog. I'm sorry I am so late in posting, but I have been walking in the Snowy Mountains for a few days and having come back, had a house full of towels, sheets and clothes to wash, camping stuff to unpack, and a messy house to clean (teenagers don't help much!) My blog post took a while too, as I had to choose from 1000 photos!!!
I'm glad people liked the story behind Baby Lorraine. It's the stories we tell in our blogs that help others get to know us a little, and I find myself drawn to those who put themselves out there a bit, who are brave enough to share their reflections and observations on life's moments. Or offering some encouragement or words of wisdom. There is indeed a real sense of community here; it is positive, supportive, inspiring and uplifting to visit and see creative spirits at work in so many ways. Thanks for your wise and caring words, Wen, and I absolutely LOVE your book spread! I would love to see other pages, and the cover too, please!
Lots of love and a big hug,
Jesse XXX O
Hello sweetie, no worries, the party is open all week long to join :)
DeleteSo happy to hear you had a wonderful time in the mountains and you took such beautiful photos!
Thank you so much dear Jesse for your sweet comment here. I could not have thought of a better way to put it. I love it too when people dare to be vulnerable in sharing their thoughts or when they share encouraging words. And I'm so happy to hear you enjoy the gathering here of these sweet and beautiful ladies, including yourself, because without you all there would not be that heart warming community like you describe :)
Sending you big hugs, love, and sunny smiles, xx
Thanks so much, Wen for including me in your warm circle. It's like being invited to join at the fireplace where everyone's having a drink and telling good yarns...
Delete:) You're so welcome sweetie, I love that picture you sketched here with the fireplace and the drinks and good yarns :) How wonderful would that be! Big hugs xx
