um...
Story time:
In my junior year of high school, I needed another AP class so I could be in National Honors Society.
Saw AP Chem.
Asked my sister if she had any friends that had taken it. She said yes, and that they said it was just like general chemistry, but more in depth. I was like, "Sweet! I'll take it!"
cause I got an A in general chemistry.
Long story short, AP CHEM = WORST. CLASS. OF MY LIFE.
She didn't tell me which friends had taken the class...
...one was the valedictorian and the other was the salutatorian for their year.
Screwed up my 4.0 GPA since 7th grade.
A-, A- A, B+
Don't let those letters fool you- I absolutely had NO idea what the heck I was doing. Except for one unit (out of like a billion).
That year I also had AP Environmental Science (that's a whole different story!).
After that year, I swore myself off science for the rest of my life.
I've hated, no, HATED science.
Threw my aspirations to be a dentist out the window,
because there was no way in crap that I was taking another science class. ever. in my life.
Enter college, where I am forced to take a science class.
Physical Science.
death.
everyone hates it, and everyone only talks about how hard it is.
So I decided to bite the bullet this year and get it over with.
I've been doing the reading assignments,
and it's taken me a while, but...
I understand...!
I UNDERSTAND!!!
AND IT EXCITES ME!
science... excites me?
what... is... this...?
I am made of fire and ice.
My life isn't supposed to make sense, I guess.
But physical science does.
(so far)
life is good. family is better. :)
