A quick but wonderful beach weekend!

We were very excited when Jim's brother Carey called and invited us on a beach trip with them. Carey is Jim's older brother that lives in Orlando. We had not seen them in two years, so we were very happy to see them. We spent Father's Day weekend in Seagrove. It was my first time to stay there, but hopefully it will not be our last. I really enjoyed Seagrove. Ann Rogers LOVED every minute of spending time with her older cousins Colette and Collin. She probably talked poor Collette's ear off the entire weekend. Jim's other brother Chuck joined on the trip too. Thanks Uncle Carey and Aunt Erika for inviting us!

Sweet Cousins

Since AR is an only child right now, she loves every minute spent with her cousins! Perry and AR are close and get along most of the time. She does like to tattle on him just as a little sister would! :-)

Soccer Finale

The season was short, just 5 games. We had a lot of fun in those few short weeks. I think she liked enough to do it again next year...especially because there were medals at the end!

One of my proudest moments so far in life

Let it be known that I am not and was not ever a dancer. Shocker! I did take the obligatory ballet and tap when I was little but quit and played sports the rest of my time in school. I just assumed AR would be a sports girl too. Especially since her Daddy is a coach. She still might play sports, but her performance at her ballet recital kind of makes me think she is going to be a dancer!
AR gets nervous easily and is shy at first in new situations. I worried about her being able to get on stage in front of an audience and perform. She blew me away at the recital. She was smiling, confident and did an amazing job. She was front and center in her number which made me think the teacher felt comfortable with her ability. This is my blog, I can brag right? :-)  I was so proud of  her that day and I know that ballet is definitely something we are going to stick with for a while!
