Happenings for last 4 days

27th May 2010 - Thursday

secretly bring brian out to marina square and esplande by the new circle line. poor brian was afriad in the mrt as it is too noisy. a lady is looking kindly and smiling at me while brian is crying.

while i am already busy coaxing brian, a man keep looking at me n signal me to look behind ... i turn n saw Tinghui...she bid me goodbye as she leave the mrt cos she had reached her stop. later i sms her n found out that that man is not her friend at all!

really interesting, then why is this man looking at me?? why is he so kpo... dun understand..
but it's quite "interesting" encounter..

brian got quite grumble and tired after 9pm n poor boy can't rest as we got to wait for daddy to fetch us at 10.30pm..

we are so glad that daddy came at 10.30pm to fetch us! brian is surprised but happy to see daddy..!

finally waited this day - Sean lau photography!!

Roy, me and Fely brought brian here n oh gush, 3 of us were so tired after entertaining brian n keep shouting n getting his attention to laugh n look at Sean's camera!

Sean is like a magician. Very fast he come out with the accessories, pails, etc to match brian clothes!!

Attended Justin's wedding in merchant court hotel. this boy, finally get married after i heard of his "want to break up" stories so many times!

Felicia is a lovely cute pettie girl which talks rather fast n cute! no wonder Justin wants to marry her.

30th May 2010 - Sun

Went to LNT. poor brian was afriad n cried cos he dun understand why he is facing a teacher who keep flashing him cards n talking non stop! Daddy take over me n he could attend the class more attentively. maybe he feels more secured with daddy around..

sherryl is there with adelle and adelle is so cute... i like her so much!

the principal share a lot of knowledge on parenting kids n oh boy.. i learnt so much.

i start using what she taught. in the car, brian want to grab my iphone as i am sms. i told him nicely "no brian, you cannot touch my iphone, mummy wouldn't be happy... no brian"..

unlike other times where he will cry n still forcingly wanting to grab my iphone, this time he actually listens to me n in fact still watch me sms !!!

Ailing n Derek wedding

this is a late entry but nevertheless, i will post it. One of the most anticipated event of year 2007... Ailing wedding in Nov 07 is indeed a memorable one... here are the photos. i am the jie mei together with mary, mei yee and pauline. the photographer take a lot of good photos too.

seeing ailing in happy tears, mary and i felt emotional on the stage too, but we have to conceal well lah... finally our best friend is married. :o)

during the soleminzation, the song been played is "I finally found someone".. it was a meaningful and emotional song!

Krabi Trip

(This entry may take some time to load for the pictures).
Board up tiger airlines for the 1st time to krabi on 12/09/07 (Wed evening).....1st time to budget terminal... some photos..

manage to shoot a photo when getting up the plane, and security guard asked me to keep my camera.. hee... :p see how squeeze in the centre walkway....only one person can walk in the walkway, and the other person cant walk..got to wait......best sit near emergency exit if anything happens...

Reach Krabi's Ao Nang area ard thailand time 9pm+, and we turn on the TV in the hotel to see this news: "Earthquake at Indonesia, 2 feet high along the Sumatran coast is generated. Tsunami warming issued."

That was a sullen news. we thought of going to phi phi island tour the next day....and due to this news, we are thinking if we really should go. when we woke up in the next morning, we asked the staffs if the island tour agency is still operating the tours...n they still do...everything seems safe. okie, we headed for the tour.

There were still short showers on thursday during the phi phi tour island tour. we were put together with other strangers and travel on speedboat.... i must say i hate the bumpy ride..it was 45 mins all the way to phi phi island!! if you have back problem, it will worsen it. every minute, we are been "bumped" up n down for at least 20 times. it is monsoon season n the sea is very rough.

We visited some part of phi phi island, and they are really beautiful....but we can't go to Maya beach where the scene of "The beach" movie was shooted...the waves were too rough n the tour guide gave up the idea to bring us there. i can understand...before that, we snorkel at Pileh Bay (part of Phi Phi)...we had to swim double hard to get back to the speedboat due to the currents....the speedboat was just 3m away!

Phi Phi Don...there is a resort here, n the tour company let us have our lunch here..



Roy.. haha....but once again, this sign is impt....not to forget phi phi alone has already 10,000 ppl die during the tsinami..that's very sad...we spoke to a lady in krabi n she said her friend pass away cos she hide during the table..the other friend survive cos she run up the hill...

it rained the next three days continously in krabi. in total for the four days when we r there, our feet is wet mostly not from the sea water,but from the rain. u still just need sandals or slippers there...no need to bring any other shoe.

We also went to the four islands tour....and my cap cover my view and i sillly banged my head when i am at Phra Nang cave. there are some blood and now it left a sovenir of small wound on my forehead. in our opinion, four islands tour is nothing much special to see. back to the hotel, i got the first aid from the staff and there is a bottle of alcohol... roy said alcohol is used to kill germs...but we never know alcohol cannot be apply on open wounds! i think it 'burned" my flesh more (feel so pain when apply on it).... n that lead to scarring of the wound on my forehead now. :o( talk about first aid knowledge, i think we are really lack of it. actually i just have to apply the iodine will do. cos of this, i spent a lot of $ on seeing doctor n buying the scar gel....but still, the scar will leave a thin small line on my forehead after it heal.

as for the island tours, the island tour companies will still travel even it rains. that is the only way to do business.

Bamboo island, nice water, nice beach, but no fishes here... dont do snorkelling here... nothing much to see (we tried).

chicken island....simply cos it looks like a chicken..!

monkey island .. they only drop you for 5 mins to take photos....



Tup island, you can only see this in the morning... by noon, the tides will cover the sand.. notice two side of waves hitting the sands...



Roy rent a car there too......we got the cheapest one... (car rental is abt SG$45, petrol cost SG$27).....in the middle of driving, we are not so sure of the routes too...so we have to stop a while to decide on the road directions or ask ppl....the crystal pool locaton is unexpectedly a long journey....it take us like 1 hr to reach there....when we reached, we found out a jungle trek of 1.3km is still needed! one look n you know we are there at the wrong timing esp with a bad weather, cos the place looks so isolated with only a few locals there in their nearby shops. No one is in the forest. due to the continous rain, the jungle is extrmely muddy, we are the only two lonely strangers in a not so familiar place....so i told roy, no way i am going it as it seems too dangerous..(!!). in the end, i felt angry cos i didnt know it will take so long like 1 hr plus to reach there n yet never get to see anything. after back to spore, i ask Kim about the crystal pool and she said sorry that she keep forgetting to tell me not to go for it as it is a waste of time...she had to carry her child and trek in total 2.6km...end up only see a small pool... the water is not so crystal too...so so only...phew, gald we never trek in!

after that, he drive to the Tiger Cave Temple..it was dawn..we can't climb up the 1200 steps as it need at least 1 hr to climb up...so we just take photos at ground level. we feel wasted as we wanted to climb the 1200 steps so much as challenge...n to see the view on top of the mountain.

La Casa restaurant...think only this restaurant got the most customers! we ate twice here. food deliver fast and the surrounding is cosy too. lot of pizza....roy likes it .. but not me... it seems to have some 'weird smell' which i dont like ...

poor roy suffered a shoulder and neck ache after having a 2 hr massage just next to golden beach resort....poor him...at first he thought the massage man did a good job by pressing hard in most places....only after back to spore, then he realise he had overdone it. as for me, i think the lady didn't put too much strength...tried out two massages and it seems like their strength is 'so so' only.

The Cliff Resort. The boutique hotel in krabi. the outdoor bathroom is interesting. when it rains, you will heard the tattering sound of the rain hitting the 'roof'. at times, i see a lizard or a snail on the wall. in conclusion, the outdoor bathroom is good ...only when there is no rain. taking into considerations of so many hotels in krabi with cheaper n better location, the Cliff is a far walk like 25mins to ao nang beach. i suggest if you want to go, it is better to choose another hotel to stay nearer to the main shops and beach. The staff at the counter, Mae speaks good english...n most impt she understand english! i had a bad experience with the staffs at this krabi seafood restaurant facing ao nang beach...the restaurant scenery looks good but their english is real bad, service is bad, the wrong food came, n in the end, the main person in-charge also charge us 20 baht extra on purpose... the waitress couldn't speak and understand english, n she doesn't even know how to count the dishes' total price, n keep insisting i need to pay. there is no taxes to be paid too, not sure how the 20 baht comes from. 20 baht is a small amount but still, i hate to be cheated.


When dawn reached, the mosquitoes keep attacking our legs too. while we can't wait to go, the bill took 10 mins to come. i was terribly boiled leaving that place. Even the thai lady customer at the side, and the singaporean group of girls in front are looking at me when i was trying to get my message across on the bill overcharge. sometimes it make me wonder if i should learn some thai language.

we also stayed in Pasakai Resort. it is at the other end of Ao Nang road, but more convenient to the main shops. The villa room is very big and spacious but there are many stairs leading up the villa. even after a full meal, we digest quite a lot after climbing up the stairs! as it is low season now, the room is cheap, cost only ard SG$90 per room. in high season, it cost ard SG$240 instead..which is very x!! But there are still a lot of hotels costing less than SG$90 in low raining season!




Pakasai room n bathroom..... think this is the biggest bathroom i ever see!

Other nicer resorts:

Peace Laguna resort.. very nice!! we walked around ao nang main road, "sneaked" into their resort and saw this...it is so beautiful..!




Golden beach resort...just in front of ao nang beach.... looks like a nice resort too....ao nang villa is good choice too (didnt have photo here)....just next to golden beach resort... if i would to choose, i should have stay in ao nang villa..




When we are back from krabi airport on sunday (16th sept), there is this news : "Budget airline crashes in Phuket". during the flight going to take over, we overhear a foreigner talking on some plane crashed in phuket and it was very bad.....(news spread really fast.).

after i reached the airport, my mum, bro n sister in law are worried after seeing the news, n keep asking me if i am fine. a colleague called me after 11pm, and also asked if i am fine too. that airline is under one-two-go airline...under thailand budget airline...i saw the brand of this airline when i was in krabi airport.

in conclusion, try not to go krabi or phuket in raining seasons like july, august, sept, the weather is really bad, keep raining, n it could have spolit a lot of plans. and it really depend, last week, i was told there is no rain for the earlier week (ard 3rd to 9th sept) before i came. in august, it was raining practially everyday.
