happy lunar new year! (:

woah. i found out that 2 of my cousins were ex-students of sa, one of them (who graduated last year) was even the ex-vice-pres of band. cool. we're family!

cny this year is special. like christmas last year, chu yi fell on a sunday. it was heartwarming to see fellow churchmates, young and old, going down for service despite everyone's hectic schedule.

and julien looked so different! she looked like a replica of anna from the back. (:

went kel's house yesterday. well, everyone who was present made it fun! payday was interesting (thanks to abbas), even though i still don't get the whole game. ): that's probably why i don't play monopoly. chori chori with ruth was super high for me. i left early and didn't get to see them style david's hair! AHHHH. i missed a good show!

ruth! did it cause a riot? GRIN.

anyway, mwaha. man u won! (: but dang! liverpool almost drew! ):

we really slacked the day away.

civics. mr foo treated us to drinks and we wasted time in the cafe.

chinese. i crashed it cos they said got games. indeed we played charades. but soon we got bored and teacher started asking lousy qian bian questions. boring.

3rd period was the highlight of the day. chem! we had a new tutor (who's j3 now, waiting for a's results) and guess what? we decided that studying should be disallowed during cny's eve eve and it was high time to do proper self-introductions. so we spent 1 whole hour doing them, doing long ones to waste time.

abbas formulated a new way of time-wasting by spelling out the things he said. shawn spent 18 minutes telling his life story. at first it was funny and all. but after awhile i realised it was actually a testimony of God's work in his life. so i stopped laughing and started listening. oh and our tutor actually played along with us. i like her already (:

yeah. then it was the performances. band was gooood. they played les miserables, lady marmalade and bye bye miss american pie. haha so un-chinesey. anyway, the rest was okay. it was different from ny's cos there were indian and malay dances.

we couldn't leave after that cos the school locked us in! but when we finally did, a few of us went j8 for lunch. (: ruth and i got addicted to faruxue! (btw i love the korean rap in si mian chu ge) we went to find kel, who ponned school too. tsk. quite a few cgmates ponned today. TSK.

yeah anyway i realised the accuracy of the saying "looks can be deceiving". there can be many sides to a person. it's just a matter of which sides we've seen. i guess only time can reveal everything.

wow i must be really bored. blogged so much. happy lunar new year! do take this holiday to spend some quality time with your family! (:

my lessons ended super early today. so yayy i went back to ny just now with the sa people. all the affection for the school just came rushing back to me. going back to ny felt like going home. (bek: hui niang jia le!) i missed the snack stall and local delight!

i saw loads of teachers. went aesthetics dept. man they're all still as funky as ever! they can be even more havoc than students at times. when mr lim saw me, he went "you take h1 art ah?" i was shocked. i'm not from nj or hc, like how did he know? and i didn't tell many people. then i found out that my art teacher told him. aiyoh! haha and i found out that mr lim has a brother! had fun with mrs teo trying to guess his name. lim kok kok? funny la.

yeah. chatted quite abit with denise and mdm yick. she was like trying to make us buy the ny funfair tix from her. but i promised mrs tan i'm buying from her alr. but mdm yick was really nice. and mrs koh's husband's teaching gp in sa! haha shall go and find out. oh! saw mr paul tan and mr gary tang too.

went to visit mrs wong! the bio one. ahhh i miss her. but i'm glad i've got a good bio teacher here in sa too. i'm like the president of his fanclub. GRIN. anyway, after that i went to visit the HOL mrs wong with some 413ers. as cute as ever! we spent some time discussing names for her 4th baby boy. she said it must start with either "je-" or "ke-". anyway i'll miss them all so much!

david just went "GO WIGAN!" cos man u's up against wigan for carling cup final. er whatever lor. so far i haven't met any man u fans in sa. so sad.

ahhh i'm dead tired. i missed today's yf cos i couldn't wake up! ): i'm just like another matong. aiyo.

sighh. i've been experiencing some ups and downs (and lots of mood swings) in school lately. but there are a few i'd like to thank.

pam! ahhh <33. for all the hugs and sweetness! and lame jokes. awww.

eunice!! for being with me ever since we met in choir. same class, same cca, same bus!

OG11's OGL, joel! for 'brainwashing' eunice and me to make an essential choice that will probably determine our happiness for the next 2 years. and OG11 for all the suggestions and encouragement! (despite me being in a different OG) (:

kel and dad! for longbang-ing me to school everyday so i can be in time for morning worships (: ahhh. so nice of them. i think i'll snailmail them a newyear card to thank them.

last but definitely not least, i must really thank God for all these people. and for all the time spent in school. every moment spent in school, may it be good or bad, had been really enriching. i start each day with morning worship and i end the night with reading the bible and prayer (the TA bible reading program). i think this is the kind of life God wants me to lead. and i'm determined to lead it well.

i heard from pam just now that OG13 had a "memorial service" for the OG after math. i still had lessons so i wasn't there. we'll be officially splitting into our CGs tmr so i heard the OG did a little something that made me happy and sad.

pam told me that they wrote everyone's (including our OGLs') names on a piece of tissue paper (!!). then they stuffed it into a bottle, went to the side gate, and threw it into the kallang river. she added that a tortoise's head popped out of the surface and chased after the bottle. haha doinks.

i know the bottle was adding to the water pollution but don't you find it touching? okay maybe you don't but i did. this togetherness and wanting to be together just touches me alot alot.

OGs are more bonded than CGs. obviously! most people i asked told me that. yeah. i like my CG. the individuals. but the connection's missing. that's why most people find themselves running back to their OGs during breaks.

just watched campus superstar. i think last week's contestants were better. esp. CHEE YANG! woots! zhiyong was right. he can sing really well. heard from minghao that he went for some FIR singing competition, and faye from FIR said he sang better than her. woahhh.

haha and today was funny. one of the morning announcements by joel was to watch campus superstar and support our senior, sheena! everyone was super amused. even joel and the principal onstage were laughing. haha. i wonder who wrote the announcement. but sheena's performance today was okay only.

anyway, we'll know our CGs on wed. oh and our house too! haha i dreamt that i got into gomes. ahhhh. dreams again.

yayy i'm so happy!! koolgang's finally meeting up this friday. haha can ask mich what i missed out in ib.

ohh. sk got into jj! same school as engyeow! how cool is that? i mean i've never ever in my entire life been in the same school as my brother, even though we were both from the same primary school. haha i told sk they can go home together. so fun. (:

we should seek contentment not happiness because when we're content, we'll naturally find happiness. whereas seeking happiness may not necessarily make us happy as we are not contented with what we find.
