Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic

Hello Everyone and welcome to the September Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!! Once again, it's time to get those passports ready, grab a cup of coffee and prepare for take off as once again we prepare to travel the world and be inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe! A big thank you to everyone who traveled the globe with us last month and stamped our passports (left comments), we were thrilled to have you join us on the maiden flight!!

Do you know that your travels around the Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to WIN?? All we ask is that you do a little globetrotting and stamp our passports (leave us a comment) and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!! The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this month's Vacation Spot (chosen blog), so leave a comment on each one by September 30th for your chance to win!!!

This month the hostess is me, Anne-Elise, and we've been challenged to Remember our Friends! Where would we be without our friends? We laugh together and share our dreams, and when things are hard, we want to be there for them or be a shoulder to cry on when they grieve. Today we remember those friends with Sympathy, Missing You, Thinking of You or even Wishing You Were Here cards and perhaps we'll even have a special story to tell you about those friends that have inspired us along the way.

If you've jetted in from Betty's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

I'm so happy that this month we have been challenged to remember our dear Friends! You know that I have two nationalities and so I have a lot of friends in Finland and in Switzerland. I have also traveled in Europe, in the United States and Canada and so this month, I wanted to make a card to all my dear friends living abroad, because unfortunately I haven't the possibility to see them very often... and I really miss them. I chose this gorgeous sentiment, because it just says what I like...  laughing and sharing pleasures! I wish I could travel around the world and meet all of you, my Friends... Miss you so much! The last photo is for all of you... a little sight of our beautiful lake... welcome to Finland!

This card was made with the beautiful Flourishes sentiment called Sweetness of Friendship. I also added some flowers from the Summer Blossoms stamp set. One flower was stamped on vellum and embossed with white powder. The vellum butterfly is from the Fanciful Flourishes stamp set and the sentiment on the tag is from Mix-N-Mugs. The tag was made with one of the Spellbinders Tailor-made Classic Tags Die Set. The white background was made with the retired Damask stamp and I embossed it with clear powder, love this shiny effect! Just added some ribbons, lace, twine, stitching and some pearls!

Thanks for taking time to visit me here in Finland, it's time to grab your passports and board Flourishes

Great news!

Today I have great news to share!! Have a look at the Flourishes post It's a beautiful World! Yes!! That's true, I'm not dreaming anymore! I'm so happy to be part of a very talented team! Tomorrow we'll start with our first trip around the world!! Welcome!!

To celebrate this and the birthday of me (tomorrow) and Flourishes, I wanted to make a card! Flourishes are celebrating their 5th birthday!! There's a Birthday Wishes Challenge that will give a chance to win the entire new release of August! So here's the card I made:

I chose the beautiful bouquet from the Summer Blossom stamp set of Flourishes. I stamped two of the flowers on vellum with white embossing powder. I then put gold colored tiny glass beads on the middle of them. I also cut by hand four pink flowers and put them on foam pads to give them a 3D effect. The background of the flowers is made with the Floral Ovals of Spellbinders. The embossed background is made with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder of Cuttlebug. The sentiment on the little tag comes from the Mix and Mugs stamp set of Flourishes. I stitched the edges with my sewing-machine, added a little Marianne Design butterfly and three little pearls in a corner.

Happy 5th birthday Flourishes!!

Triple Play!

There's another Noon Time Challenge at Flourishes! This one is called Triple Play! All we need to do is use three of something on our card, pearls, flowers, colors, layers... the sky is the limit! I thought about doing a three color card for a sweet and cute girl... and so I chose pink, green and white with the letter A from the Letters in Bloom stamp set of Flourishes. I made the background of the letter with the Spellbinders die called Floral Ovals. I added some flowers from the Summer Blossom set. I made three flowers on vellum. The white ones are stamped twice and embossed in white. The pink one is stamped three times and embossed in pink. I just put a brad in the middle. There are also three different papers for the background. To finish it, I also added three different ribbons and three pearls in one corner. I stitched the edges and here it is:
