Sea Fishing

Sea fishing out of the blue.... Joint my relatives for a short trip to fish at Kota Kinabalu.... a trip to stock up for the coming Chinese New Year feast...

What?! Yes! That's right! Going out in the middle of the monsoon period.... Well, only fish around K.K., not too far off..... this is sure to be a sea sick trip...

The boat was quite cosy....

My sea fishing gear can't wait to get into action.....

The weather during the Monsoon period is always unassuming.... look what's coming next...

It can just change abruptly without any warning.....

The calm after... we are close to Kota Kinabalu..... Mt. Kinabalu is a majestic sight indeed...

So glad to be back on solid grounds, sea fishing is definitely not my thing.... A beautiful meal to kill my sea sickness.....

Thailand Fishing

As per my yearly routine,... Thailand is a must stop over. This timing was slightly a bit too early, where by the level of the water in the dam is still very high.....

Off we go.... and here we come again...

Hurry up and pick your own sleeping space, and find one with the best Feng Shui ..... Well, I am always fast in action... hehehe!

Our first dinner that night...

 A good sun shine morning to start off my day....

This is my first catch in the morning,... What better way to start off the day than this....small one but fun....

Here comes the next....

When the day got hotter, I when up the river to try some luck....

Beautiful stream up the hill....

Not much for me today at this small stream.... just some small Golden Mahseer came to entertain me.

Head back to the lake in the evening....

Wooo... Not bad!!!....

Ahhh! This is great! A good decent sized Jungle perch (Hampala macrolepidota)...

NICE!... The fish & the rod "G-Dragon" = (Great Dragon伟龙) my own signature rod...hehehe!

Well, some times it becomes even better this way....

As usual a good start in the early morning.....

Meat Porridge... A fast and simple breakfast in the morning...

Off we go...

Today we planned to trek up the river to fish....

Cool and crystal clear water flow down from the mountain.....

It is always a good spot for those who are willing to put more effort to trek up and fish at the upper end of the river..... Look at what the river has to offer us in return....

Plenty of catches from this upper end of the river....

This one fought good,... Nice size of these Thai Golden Masheer (Neolissochilus stracheyi)....
