Limited flowers and my first challenge!
And now, here's my card using this sketch for Jen's limited supply challenge which was to use only ONE flower stamp and a sentiment. It may sound difficult, but I really loved this challenge!
I colored in the flowers with tempting turquoise and bashful blue markers and used so saffron on some of the flower centers. I rounded one end of the top panels and had to add a build a brad {those things are so stinkin' cute!!!}. I stamped this sprig again on the bottom left corner and ta-dah!
Have fun with the sketch!! Thanks for stopping by!

Glitter window card
Here's a card I made for today's Ways To Use It challenge on SCS. I made a glitter window ~ they are SO easy and look so cool! I colored in the large flower with markers. For the larger bashful panel, I used the Doodle jumbo wheel and colored in some of the flowers with markers and colored in the dots with a white gel pen, though I don't believe you can see it in the pic. I'm trying to use up the hodgepodge hardware that I have because I ordered the NEW SILVER hardware out of the new mini catalog yesterday!! OH, I can't wait til it gets here! Trying to use things up and not hoard anymore. The sentiment was punched out using the small oval punch, then I punched out a large oval and placed it behind the hardware. If you're not sure how to make a glitter window, just ask and I'll tell ya!
Thanks for peeking in!
card info: stamps ~ time well spent, short and sweet, doodle jumbo wheel. paper ~ bashful, night of navy, ww. ink ~ same as paper plus pumpkin. access. ~ ribbons, hardware, piercer, brads, packing tape, II ep.

Opulent color challenge
Here's a bright color challenge that will make you ready for spring! The colors for today's CC over at Splitcoast are orchid opulence, pumpkin and celery. This set, Time Well Spent, just begs to be used with bold colors, so who am I to argue? I colored in the flowers with my SU markers. The scalloped edge and larger circle were dotted with a black marker. The center of the sentiment is on a build a brad ~ you MUST try those if you haven't yet! Because orchid is such a vibrant color, I decided to soften it some by adding the swirls on the card base stamped in white craft ink. And I like how the black gingham ribbon adds some extra pop.
I'm having a good day today. My mom will be receiving my brothers' things tomorrow, so I'll be praying for her. Sometimes she says it hasn't hit her. Other times, well, aren't very good. I feel the same way sometimes, never know what will set me off crying my eyes out. I miss my little brother. Please, do me a favor and call your family and tell them that you love them. That's something you will never regret doing.
Thanks for stopping by!

Envelope goodie pouch
Can you believe this was made using a regular envelope?? I know! How stinkin' cute?!! If anyone wants, I can attach the tutorial on how to make these here or you can just go to Amanda's blog (listed on the right --->) and check it out there. I simply added some designer paper, punched out a sentiment and layered that on a scallop, added a brad and voila! Easy peasy!
As always, thanks for stopping by!!

Taken with my stud muffin sketch
Oh man, how cute is this mouse?? I got lucky and won a free set from The Saltbox Studio and was sent their Celebration Companion set. Lots of great sentiments including *stud muffin* used on this card ~ how stinkin' cute is that? As soon as I saw it, I had to make a card with it and what better than my dh's V-day card.
I colored the mouse using ink on the top of ink pads (you know, when you smoosh the ink pad to get ink on the lid... yea, that!) and a watercolor brush. The *Happy Valentine's Day* sentiment is from SU's Holidays and Wishes set. No other stamping, wanted to keep the card *clean* looking. So a little piercing, some ribbon and brads and she's done! I'm liking this color combo for a masculine card.
Thanks for stopping by!!
