Lots to Do challenge - week 15

This week it is my turn to choose the theme on the lots to do challenge blog.

I have chosen butterflies - cos I absolutely love them - they are amazing creatures that unfortunately have a short life span.

I have altered a cd for this week.

I covered it in some backing paper and then on separate paper I stamped several images of the butterfly and coloured them in with whispers pens. I then decoupaged the butterfly and stuck it on the cd at a slight angle and then added some glitter to it.
I then added the irish blessing above it.
Next I got my die cutting machine out and cut some butterflies and stuck these at the bottom adding some glitter. I added a metal butterfly too.

I finally threaded some ribbon through the eyelet which was made with my crop-o-dile.

Beermat Swap - Lots to do

Here are my beermats for the swap on Lots to do - hosted by Mags

I covered my beermats with cream card and then used brushed corduroy distress ink to age the card.

I then added some of my favourite Tim Holtz stamps using black staz on.

Lots to do week 14 - Children

I can't believe we are up to week 14 already!!!!

This weeks theme is Children and has been chosen by Andrea.

I made 2 gothic arches for this challenge both of them have traditional rhymes on them.

The one on the left has what are little girls made of and added a cute picture of a little girl - as you know the rhyme goes on as asks what are little boys made of - so I found an image of some boys sitting on a street corner looking like they are up to no good. I used distress inks for the background and stamped it with my crackle stamp I then added a stamped flourish to a corner.

The one on the right is the rhyme There was a little girl who had a little curl - I found an image and once again used distress inks to age the arch and stamped some flourishes then added a butterfly stamp with a couple of sticky gems to finish it off.

Lots to Do - Words

The challenge for this week is "Words"

I made a skinny and used one of my favourite stamps from Crafty Individuals.

I stamped my journey stamp onto my skinny and then stamped it onto a separate card and then 3d it.

I added a stamped image of the Eiffel tower and also 3d that.

I finished off with some postmark stamps over the skinny.
This skinny also works in so well with Sunday Stampers theme of "Ebony and Ivory"

Lots to do - Teddy Bears

This week on the lots to do challenge blog is Teddy Bears.

I absolutely adore teddys so this was quite easy for me.

I decided to alter a CD.

I covered the the CD with backing paper with a Teddy bear design and then added the die cut teddy with some mulberry paper behind it to add some texture. I then added a poem and aged the paper. I then added a smaller teddy image at the bottom.

This month we are off to Narnia

ATC Lottery - Lots to do

Every month we have a lottery draw on Lots to do - you send 3 ATCs as payment and then you are entered into the draw - the winner gets to keep all the ATCs entered for that month.

Brights swap - Lots to do

I have made some ATCs for this swap - we had to use bright colours and had to have some stamping on the items.

Hope these are "bright" enough

Rainbow Ladys challenge - facelift for an old friend

Here is my piece for this weeks challenge.

I chose the stamp as it is one of my favourites and is so versatile.

I used clear embossing in on it and then chalked over the image - I have never done this with this stamp before. The colours are very subtle.

I then matted and layered it onto a card and finally added the Happy Birthday peel offs

Lots to Do challenge - Rainbows

Here is my piece for this weeks challenge

I chose a beautiful sky for my background and then printed a rainbow and stuck it to the top of my skinny. I then found an image of a little girl and stuck that on. I then punched out some balloon shapes in the colours of the rainbow and stuck them on - some were 3d to give a better effect. I then added some "strings" for the balloons. Finally I added the wording "A Rainbow of Colour" in the colours of the rainbow.
