Lots to do Challenge - Week 40 - Snowmen
I made a skinny.
I got some blue card and cut it to size.
I then cut some snowflake paper and matted that on.
I used one of the stitchels range of snowmen and stamped a few of them and made my own decoupaged snowman.
I used whispers pens to colour them in.
I made a small snowy hill with pearlised card and stood the snowman on.
I finally added the wording let it snow.

Lots to do Challenge - week 39 - Music
I made a fat page for this.
I used a minky coloured pearlised card and cut it to size. Luckily for me the card is reversable with a dark brown back so I cut another piece of card smaller and matted it on. I then cut a smaller piece of card and ran it through the cuttlebug with the music embossing folder. I slightly distressed this piece with some sandpaper and then lightly went over it with tea dye distress ink. I then found an image of lots of musical instruments and added that to the centre.

Lots to do challenge - Week 38 - Christmas
I decided to alter a CD for this challenge.
I used my crop-o-dile and cut a 2cm border around the CD. This was really time consuming and the little bits of CD went everywhere!
I then covered my cd in snowflake paper front and back. I then tied invisible thread around the CD so that my snowman could "float" in the centre.
I used the crop-o-dile again and added a silver eyelet and finally added some sparkly ribbon.

Lots to do challenge - week 37 Canvas
I used adirondak dabbers in butterscotch and watermelon on my canvas and then got some stampbord and covered them in different distress inks. I stamped my images on in black staz-on and then had fun scraping away at different bits of the boards. I then added the words which were stamped onto tissue paper and then stuck to the canvas with mod podge.

Lots to do Challenge - week 35 - Envelope Art
I decided to try a bandana style for the envelope so I stamped images all around the edges of the envelope and added a postage stamp in the corner. In the middle I stamped some dotted lines. I then used tea dye, peeled paint, mustard seed and tattered rose distress inks all over. I then got my white pen and added highlights to some of the stamps. I finally added some small gems to the flowers in the postage stamp.

Lots to do Christmas Auction
I decided to decorate some curtain rings.
The top row are all covered in ribbons and then a snowman figure was glued to the centre. Finally some holly was added to the rings.
The bottom row are all covered in foil and then covered in alcohol inks then they have some sticky snowflakes added to them. Finally some snowflake embellishments were added to the rings.
The snowmen and snowflakes come from an old christmas decoration I had.
Unfortunately they haven't scanned too well.
Lots to Do Challenge Blog - Week 34 - Remembrance
I was over in Belgium in the summer and had a chance to go to Ypres. This is one of the things on my "to do list" so I jumped at the opportunity to go.
As we were heading towards Ypres we saw lots of war cemeteries, we stopped off at one and was told that it is where the author of the poem "In Flanders Fields" worked as there was a field hospital at the site. We later went onto the Menim Gate and heard the last post. The whole experience was so moving and it made me think a whole lot more about what people did for us years ago.
I have made an 8 x 8 canvas for this challenge.
I covered the canvas in acrylic paint and them added other colours of acrylic to the edges.
I then printed onto tissue paper the poem "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae.
I covered the canvas in mod podge and then added the poem to the centre.
I covered the poem with mod podge and then left it to dry.
I bought some poppies and added them around the poem.

I added some vines going up the wall and coloured them in with whispers pens. I then cut my inchies and coloured with distress inks and once again used my line stamp to creat a window frame effect.

How does your garden grow - ATC swap
Shaz on Lots to do is hosting an ATC swap and the theme is how does your garden grow.
My first ATC is made using my cuttlebug folder and embossed onto thin metal, this is attatched to the ATC with small flower brads.
The middle ATC is stamped tree image and I added all the leaves by adding small dots of different colours all over the branches. I coloured in the grass area and again added dots of different colours to make a carpet of flowers.
The third ATC is made by simply stamping all over with my tapestry stamps and adding a moo of a stamped image of some flowers.
Secret Swap - Lots to do
Over on Lots to do we have had a secret swap. We had to make a gift for someone and not sign it or have any clues to who had sent it.
The person I had to make something for was Dawne. I decided to alter a cd. I covered it in paper and added swirls all around the edge. Dawne loves to take photographs so I sneakily copied one of her photos and stuck it to the bottom of the cd. I added the letters for her name. I used my crop-o-dile and added eyelets and ribbon and finished off with 2 small flowers which had gems stuck to the middle.
