Up-cycled frames

Hi,

Well we have been moving our room around, we have a little more wall space and I painted up these cheap plain wooden frames today with Prima paints and then used the treasured gold, copper to distress them, (my new fave product) so pleased with the results and a fraction of the cost they would have been, later I am going to add some Prima Junkyard quotes to make them just finished

They look great on the wall so very happy xxxx

I am back!!!!

Hi all,

 Well I am back. I have had just over two weeks off on my Holiday to Florida and it was amazing! now back to posting some lush things and sewing/ crafting again for you all. I bought some very very nice fabrics so can't wait to use them!!!!

The heat was great the food was even better so back being good and boring today oh and freezing :(

WOYWW 258

Morning everyone,

   Well although i have done a few projects this week I have very little on my work desk today for WOYWW 258.

I started a new job on monday and it has been intense classroom work all day everyday since so here is what is on my desk as I have not had the will to do very much but collapse at the end of the day.

These are really cute pin wheels not too sure what I am going to do with them yet??

 Here is a puzzle I have started with my kids and it takes ages but loads and loads of fun.

My family of Mice

Hi,
   so after a hectic week, i was offered an interview for a job I didn't apply for and got it!! Only a few hours a week so I can still spend time as a mummy and wife and craft loads! I have been running here there and everywhere and have been doing SAT revision with my daughter!
     Oh and i managed to make these adorable mice x

Hi,

   So this week I have actually remembered we are on Wednesday today! These bank holidays keep throwing me out and I seem to loose a few days in the mix?!!

So this week for WOYWW 257, I am working on some very cute Mice Teddies :

You see I have had a bag making obsession for the last week! So thought I would try something new?!

I will post them when I have finished them, which hopefully is soon, but it has already been one of those weeks!

Cute little bag

Hi,

    I was going to pop over the stamping ground for WOYWW (Wednesday!) but when I realised it was actually Wednesday yesterday it was a little late at 11pm!!! Silly me.

Here is what I have been working on. A oh so cute little girl's bag.

I just love the fabric. I have a really nice stash of cute fabrics now.....

so will be making lots more over the coming days.

Hi,
      what a horrible day here! I think we have gotten used to the lovely weather so it is a shock when it is cold and rains??

So I shut myself in the craft room and made some lovely canvases. They are so cute.

 I am selling them on my easy shop if anyone would like one and to see all the other handmade goodies I have made over there.

Blossom the Fox WOYWW 255

Hi,

    So after a long week, I have finished Blossom the fox. She is on my desk this morning sitting pretty. So for WOYWW 255, I would like you to meet Blossom.

I think her dress is so cute. I am going to go to the gym this morning for some calming Pilates and then start on a new ted. I should have the next finished a little quicker?? The kids have gone back to school and the nice routine has started again!!! Yeyyyyyy.

Hi,

 well what a lovely day here! We have spent the day a the beach, so not too much on my desk today!

 So here is what is on my desk for WOYWW 254 . Just a few bits for making another Fox ted, they are just soooooo cute. I have not stuck my finger near the needle in my machine today either so think I have gotten away lightly! I will have her made up by tomorrow I think??? Got some more decorating to do! Oh the fun

Bean bag cushion

Hi,

   so yet another lovely day here! I decided this afternoon after my first ride on my new motorbike this morning (very nerve wracking!) that I would create a bean bag cushion as my hubby was looking a buying one. So I had some fabric that matches my lounge furniture (I always get extra to create with) and some funky fabric from Ikea. I used piping for the first time too!

I then proceeded to run the sewing machine over my finger!!! yes nail and all took the needle full on! Right through my finger! Ahhh not recommended but I got back too it and made a great bean bag cushion.

And here is my dog Duke posing by it, thought you would all like to see him x

Right off to rest my finger before tomorrow and then get on with some more lovely sewing

Box Die

Hi,

  well don't know how I got roped into it? But ended up in the craft shed this afternoon. I made a box for Ali over at Ali-craft. I had loss of fun though what a great die this is!!! It cuts the 3 boxes and then you fold them and tape it together! It is already scored! This would make a great gift.

 I used some bits and pieces I had in my stash but mainly used Prima products that Ali has loads of!!

What a great afternoon of crafting.

WOYWW 253

Hi,
    sorry guys been ages! I can't say I have been doing anything exciting either! So disappointing. We have the kids off on holiday this week so we have been busy spending days out! But today I have been creating large fox teddies, for WOYWW 253  I have cut them out and stitched them, ready for stuffing later.

I have made the marks for the legs this time so I don't end up with two left or right legs! I think I am having a week like that! I have just realised I added the wrong link for my last WOYWW ! I added an older post! how silly.

Right must get myself in gear and blog much more this week!

Finished T-shirt

  So here is the finished T-shirt I promised.

I added buttons down the strip of lace and then added an organza bow at the top. I think it looks great for holidays.

At the front I added a trim of lace to take it right round the design.

T shirt re-design

hi,
    Wow been a while since I have posted, well ok nearly a week! But it has been a busy one. I volunteered as a parent helper on a school trip to London Museum of life. I kind of wondered what I had let myself in for after a 6am start and no coffee!!! It took 4 hours there and then 4 hours back and lots of kids being sick on the bus!!! Oh well may think about it next time???

So I went shopping on Saturday to get over it with the coffee on drip! I saw a top I liked the look of but didn't want to shell out too much money so decided to make my own.

I have started it :

So I started with the plain T-shirt.

Then I cut in half down the back.

And I have started to add the lace trim also in pink. I am now in the process of adding buttons. But as I have poked myself in the the thumb a few times with the pin I am going to post the rest tomorrow! It looks great so make sure you pop over and have a look.

WOYWW 180

HI,

   today I have on my workbench for WOYWW 180 some fabric hearts.

I really enjoyed making these and they were such a quick and easy project. I used navy cotton to tread them with and think this stands out just great.
    So now I am coffee'd up I am going to go back and sew some more cute things

Spring feelings?

Hi,

so today is sunny but very cold?! Just as I think it should be. So here is a spring card. I love the yellow and the scrabble letters as they can be used on anything.

I have got back into using the organza ribbon too, since making my felt doll. Funny how you stop using things and then go back to them when you remember how good they are to use.

Door hanger

Hi,

   well another busy day. I have been in the craft shed this afternoon making a spring like door hanger.  The weather is not very spring like??? So will be setting the fire off soon!

So I took a wooden door hanger and painted it with the prima chalk paints. They are fab as they dry so quick! I used pale blue and then added a pink distressed shade over the top.

I applied the pink layer with a dry brush to create the distressed look and then sanded the edges and top lightly.

Then I added a Prima bike, I love bikes at the moment, maybe it's because I am dying to ride mine but can't! I have no cartilage left in my knee and can't bend it enough to ride a bike :(

Then I added the Keep Out and some flowers and a heart embellishment. I love the pastel colours and think it looks cute.

I really enjoyed doing her dress, it has (you can't really see) little bead details on the skirt and headband. She has a cute beehive up do. Her shoes are uba cute too. I am going to start on a little friend for her after I have made another Ted.

WOYWW 250

   So here is what is on my workbench today for WOYWW 250. I have been spreading out today as you can see a few different worktops!

Of course the absolute need item a good brew! I am sewing a felt doll. She is going to have a lovely dress and a bee hive hair do!

I will post a picture when she is completed I am hopping that will be today??? Even though she is smallish she has lots of stitching.

Quick Prima card

Hi,

so the weather was so nice today we had a day out at the beach! It was great fun we went in the arcade and went on the 2p machine's. Dad/ Grandad took the kids on the beach and they had loads of fun! 

We came home and I nipped to the shed to get my fire wood and couldn't help myself and made this quick card before my brew even got cold! A lovely stack of prima papers are just so easy to use.

Pastel Peg

Hi,
     So a day off from the decorating today, we have been doing bits since December just one more room to go now!
    So I made this lovely Pastel peg. I used pale blue chalk paints and distressed painted the peg, then added Prima papers. The bike is so cute, i added flowers and a pin. It would look great with a magnet added to the back so it can hold all your noted to the fridge.

it measures 13cm x 7 cm at the widest paper point. Such a pretty object to graze any home.

Bunting card

Hi,

 another warm sunny day here, could get very used to this! i managed to get talked into tile grouting this morning, not sure how that happened but now need a new nail paint!!
   So last night I made this lovely bunting card. I used a lovely paper pad from Prima, I just love the floral pastel colours.

And as many of you can see I just love using these flowers, they are bigger than normal ones and so much easier to use and lush.
   I finished the bottom of the white panel with a punch. Right off to start on more teds.
