Monday, September 05, 2005 It's the start of the Sept Hols but I don't feel excited nor relaxed at all. The students were complaining that the one-week break didn't seem like holidays cos there were tons of holiday assignments to do. As a teacher, I feel that it didn't seem like holidays too. I just wrote down the list of things to do and the list seems overwhelming...hai~ Let's see what need to be completed within one week...
Gross...is it possible to complete everything within one week? I would be declared a 'wonder-teacher' if i can do that. Hmm...going to use up more brain power and red pens and 3-in-1 coffee. Any kind souls to lessen my load? haha..dream on!!! Let's hope I can be more productive and disciplined during this hols and not slack around like what i did for this weekend. Hmm...Thanks for the teachers' day presents! Oh I need to thank my form class for organising a small-scale buffet party =) Thanks for the effort!! I like to read those cards that were given by the students...quite meaningful and significant. I didn't know that I was so 'fantastic'...haha...sounds so egoistic and complacent ar..Pardon me as it is only a yearly affair, Anyway, after Teachers' Day, it's back to the reality where i'm known as the evil teacher, no longer fantastic haha. I had a good laugh when I saw Rini's and Fengling's present. They gave me a small notebook so that i can use that to take down names of students who did not do their work or bring their books. Anyway, they commented my notebook looked kind of old. But can you imagine that I have students who have thought of 'stealing' my old notebook so that i wouldn't be able to keep track of those 'naughty' students who did not hand in their work on time. But i think that old notebook can last me till end of the year, so shall use their new notebook next year...but...it's powerpuff girl's notebook. Will it be kidish to use that???!!! I like Eunice's present. I think she baked those cookies herself and put it in a glass. Something different and thoughtful. I finished those delicious cookies within a day. Greedy me!! Simply can't resist cookies...chocolate chips cookies. Oh ya, Rini and Fengling gave me 2 cookies, m&ms cookies, unique. Did you bake that on your own too? Wow, I'm amazed with people who can bake cookies and cakes. I can cook a decent meal but I can never bake. Don't ask me why cos baking seems too 'chim' for me, with those exact measurement of ingredients and some of the ingredients seem alien to me and not to mention the preheating of oven and the temperature bla bla bla. Would have to make do with those ready-made cookies if i have the craving for it, can't resist the aroma of Famous Amos cookies...(saliva dripping) Anyway, in my opinion, the Bukit View Idol was really a flop. The quality is really worst than last year's performance. Those who can sing are not taking part and hence, those who make it to the finals are not that good. Not that my singing was anything fantastic to criticise, but this year's contestants were either too showy or pretentious, or trying to fake an accent, but that provided good and funny entertainment for everyone. I was quite disgusted by the initial part of the dance performance. The male dancer seemed to enjoy the wrong attention and comments given to him and was too eager to show the vigorous shaking of his body...YUCKS!! Got to catch my forty winks soon...hmm...forty winks means a short nap...then mine should be thousand winks then...haha. enough crap. Otherwise I wouldn't be sober enough to last through the oral exam with the Sec 3 students. |
