Tired

Waaahhhh, so tired man. Had spent the whole day painting the house. Now my room is peach in colour, just like the living room! WooHooO~!~! hahaa... Well, the most difficult part to paint is not the break between the top and side wall. Neither is it the edges near the doors. It's the edges of the flower in my room!! Huh, what flower? It's a flower painting that was painted by my Dad. My room used to be my sis' room by the way, hence the feminine side..lolx.. But over the years, although the room has been repainted quite a lot of time, the painting still remains in its original form. An 'order' by the artist! hahaa... Here's a peek of the rosy flower..

Imagine how hard you have to CAREFULLY paint the edges and not spoilt the paint! Phew, I'm glad its over.. =_=

As a result of moving the furnitures, junks so as to paint the walls, I'm having flu now coz of the dusts. Damn, how sensitive can my nose be! Maybe it's due to the weather too. But today's weather very cooling yar? I wish I was on bed just now!! arrgghh... lolx...

Anyway, went to Geylang SERAI yesterday. As usual, the bazaars and the markets are all packed with people especially when 'break-fast time' is nearing. Don't really like to go there actually, coz most of the things there are like the same every year. Oh well, so I bought myself my Baju Kurung for Hari Raya, which I will wear for like the first day of the festival and then kept in my cupboard for god-knows-how-long. Damn, isn't it a waste of $$?? hahaa...

Oh yeah, it's like almost mid-way through the fasting now. And that means Hari Raya is approaching! Oh manz, that's fast!! Furthermore, this year might be my last year in collecting green-packets, unless I continue my studies next time. Oh dear, I feel so old! Eeeks!! =PpP Okie dokie, that's all for this post. Got to enjoy my dinner(I know it's late now) and slack a while before My Date with a Vampire III starts. Till next post, tata~!~!

P.S. I had a dream yesterday. Was hugging this person so tightly. It was great. I realised how good it feels like to hug a person. Sometimes, it makes you feel that whatever your problems are, someone is always there for you. A hug provides you comfort and warmth. Sheesh, I need a hug now!! In real-life!! ArrGgghh!! (Okok, I know I'm crazy....)

Movies, Movies and Movies!!!

Don't know why but I'm suddenly into movies these few days..heh..maybe coz too bored at home..=_= Anyway, I've watched 3 movies recently. Wow, that's like the most number of movies I watched in a week!! lolx.. Okok, I shall give short reviews on them.

First up, this movie called
Goal!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I nvr watch movies on soccer before, or any other sport, but wow, this was a great movie! There's lots of realism injected here with soccer stars like Raul, Zidane and Beckham appearing on screen, albeit for just a few seconds! The directors are really creative in a way that they were able to make the actors played their game in a packed stadium that looked so real. Their injection into real 2004/2005 season games made the scenes almost perfect!

Anyway, this story is about a guy, Santiago Munez, who rised from a struggling-to-make-ends-meet person to a first team player at Newcastle United! He was talent spotted by a scout one day, and from that day onwards, his life began to change. Things, however, do not go so smooth-sailing for Munez. He has to go many trials and tribulations and experience the lifestyle of an everyday footballer.

This is a good movie even for those who know nuts about soccer as the highlight of this movie is not about the technicalities of soccer but the strong human drama that is weaved into the story. I'll give it 3.5 out of 5 stars!! Go watch it!

P.S.: Hmm, I wonder when will the ManU scout come to Sg to grab me.. hahaa..

Next up, is the horror movie,
The Skeleton Key!

When I first saw the title of the movie, I thought it was about a key that looks like a skeleton or a key that would lead you to one. But boy, I was wrong. The so called skeleton key was actually a master key that can open all(almost) the doors in the particular house.

This movie is about Caroline, a nurse, who one day decides that being in a hospital isn't her cup of tea. She then decided for hospice care instead and chance upon this elderly couple, Ben(who suffered from a stroke) and Violet Devereaux who lived in a rather creepy house. This is where most parts of the movie takes place. In a 30-room house, housing a creepy couple, wind howling, doors slamming and always raining. Typical characteristics of a horror movie.

It didn't take long before Caroline chanced upon the hoodoo-magic that's living in the house. And after that, the plot seems to be of horror norm. But at the end, there's a slight twist though. Never thought that it would end that way. Oh well, though this movie gave you some periodic startles and shocks, I would say it isn't really a true horror film. More of a thriller actually. Anyway, this is a decent film, though not really strong. You can catch it if you're extremely bored at home. I'll give it
3 out of 5 stars.

And lastly, The 40-Year Old Virgin. Pls take note that this review contain some spoilers. I advise you not to read if you planned to watch it(which I strongly recommend!!). It's M-18 btw. =PpP

Out of the three movies, this is the one which I truly enjoyed! Nope, not for the sex scenes or skimpy clad extras in the show. But for the hilarious nature of this movie! (Thanks MeiFeng for recommending this! hehe)

Well, Andy works in an electrical store. He's forty but he seemed not being able to grow up with his collection of toys, comic books and video games. And of course, most importantly, he's a virgin. To help him overcome his 'problem', his colleagues help to arrange him with girls in many occassions. There's this time when Andy met this gal in a pub and they were then off to the gal's house to do you-know-what. But before they got into anything, the girl threw up on Andy's face in the car! And it smelled of shellfish sandwich!! That scene was freaking funny man!! hahaaa.. Another funnny scene was when Andy went for his waxing session. Yeah, he went for it at the advice of his friends to remove his chest hairs. His reaction at the peeling part was totally hilarious!! LOL.. Oh yeah, another laughable part was when two of his friends played this 'how-I-know-you're-a-gay' thing.. hahaa.. so funny.. Anyway, if I were to list out all the funny parts, I doubt I can finish blogging coz there's just so many humourous parts in the movie!! It made me laugh every minute or so!! lolx..

Oh yeah, if you're interested in the ending, Andy married off this 'hot' grandma and of course, you'll know what they'll do after marriage =X. And yah, the ending song was greatly funny too!! hahaa... Although there seems to be an over-usage of the f-word here, for all the humour and the fact that it made me laugh throughout the show, I'll give this movie
4/5 stars!!

Okie dokie, that's all folks. Next film? The Myth maybe.. ;-)

Hmmm...

Totlaly amzanig huh? LOLx..
Quite bored these few days. Most of the time my days have been used up by the FYP. Weekend was a bore too. Was practically sleeping, slacking and eating after the breakfast. Fasting supposed to make you lose some weight but I think I'm gonna gain some because of my routine "activites".. haa.. But that is what I have always been hoping for yar? hmmm..
Oddly, I have been having a couple of weird dreams for the past few nights. Characters in my dreams even include one of my primary school friend which I had not seen since we graduated. haaa.. And another dream was about Ibu resuming her blog with 4 straight post!! very funny when I thought about it again.. But anyway, *hint hint*!! =PpP hahaa.. All of those dreams are weird but not unpleasant. Some of these weird dreams have even made me happy after I woke up.. They say what you dream in the night is related to what you think or do in the day.. how true!? But what's definite is that I'm on the right path to lucid dreaming!! WeeEe~!~! I can feel that I'm getting closer and closer to attaining this ability!! hmmm...
Oh yeah, some of you have noticed my nick on MSN about being very happy and stuff.. Yeap, I'm extremely happy after hearing that piece of news. No words could describe my sense of happiness and gratitude then. For, it has been a long while since I've waited for that day to come!! Now that is has come, it would become an instant promise on my part to cherish and take care of the person in question! =D Wondering what the hell I'm talking about?!? Well, I'm not going to write it here(sorry) but if you're really curious, you can ask me personally.. But when a certain day has arrived in the future, I will definitely write abt the event here!! So, if you have no chance to ask me personally, just wait for my post here in the future. When? I won't tell you but just wait and see! hmmm..
Can you get cornered in a round room?
Why is it that when things get wet they get darker, even though water is clear?

Sian Sian FYP!!

Heyzz, it's the first day of the semestral break but guess what? I was already back in sch today (arrgghh) to do my stupid final year project!! And most likely I'll be going back again tmr and thursday and definitely friday.. What?!?! That's 4/5 weekdays!!!! What kind of holiday is this!!! I'm truly yearning for a REAL holiday. Yeah, I really need a break! A period of time where you can truly rest your mind and soul and not worry about anything else. But then, I guess that kind of time is slowly going away from you as you grew up. So, in other words, wishing for a long relaxing time at this age is as good as wishing that Jessica Hsuan would fall for me (hahahaa.. still got mood to joke eh?).

Everytime I think about my fyp, I somehow begin to panic. I'm truly scared that we will not have enough time to finish the project. I'm not sure if my other grp members share the same sentiments but yeah, that's how I'm feeling these days everytime the letters FYP comes to mind. I even made a lie today(luckily fasting month not here yet..lolx). When the TSO asked me how's my project, I told her we are left with a little bit more when in fact there's loads yet to be done. Initially, I thought that when exams are over, I can relax a bit. How wrong was I! The stress level is still there and I can say it's more than during the exam period! It didn't help when at one time, you thought you are on the verge of succeeding. But at the next moment, everything seems to go against you. No matter how hard you try, you just can't repeat whatever successful things you've done earlier. That feeling sucks! It truly is. And it didn't help much either having a supervisor that doesn't seems to have any care about your project (unless you approach her for questions). When I see some of my friends' supervisors visiting them once in a while asking for their progress, it makes me wonder, where is my supervisor? How come she doesn't seem concerned at all about our progress? Is she busy? But then, even if she is busy, I don't believe she can't set a little amount of time for our project. She is after all the SUPERVISOR
for god's sake. And the role of a supervisor is to supervise the people under him/her right? If he/she sits in her office most of the time(or rather all the time) I think the position shld be changed to Manager instead(a high-ranking manager at that!). That's what I learnt from Ms Susan Khong 's PQM. lolx.

Haiz. Nvm, don't wanna talk further on the fyp. It just makes my blood boil, my mind going in circles and my heart beating faster everytime I tink about it! This fyp thingy even gave bruises and bumps on my hands today!! Don't ask me how I get it. It just..... got there somehow. sigh. That's it for this post, no mood to blog further. Adios~! SeLaMaT MenYamBut BuLaN RaMaDhAN YaNg PerNuh BaRaKah to all muslims.

*knock knock*
Good afternoon Mdm.
I'm looking for true love.
Know if I can buy any here or could you point me in the right direction? =PpP
