Tummy Time
Macy was doing a great job with "Tummy Time" so we decided to tape it, but as soon as she noticed the camera was on her she focused on that instead.

Andy's Graduation and Macy Video
Andy graduated with his Masters Degree last Thursday. Macy Belle and I are so proud of him. He also received the award for Clinical Excellence in Exercise Physiology at an awards banquet earlier in the week. Yay Andy!
Here is a video of Macy. She was hungry so it was pretty mean that we taped her rather than feeding her, but she is so cute with her hunger cues!

Macy Isabela Hendrickson
Macy Isabela "Macy Belle" joined us on Sunday May 2, 2010.
The Beginning
With the last post I didn't think she was coming, but suddenly only two hours after I posted I started having contractions. They were about 10 or so minutes apart then moved to 5-7 minutes apart. My doctor's instructions were to call when they were 5 minutes apart for 2-3 hours. So we were waiting for that when suddenly they were like 3 minutes apart. We had the doctor paged, but before he could get back to us, I decided it was best to just leave. We "stole" a cab from another couple, but we didn't care. We had to get there. The taxi driver got us there really fast, probably because I kept having contractions and he was worried that he would soon have three passengers instead of two!
At The Hospital
So we got to the hospital, I had a contraction at the front desk and they took me straight to a labor and delivery suite. I was dilated to an 8! I contracted for another hour, then the doctor had me start pushing. After about an hour of pushing, our little Macy was born! Andy was a fabulous labor coach. He let me squeeze his hand really hard, wiped my face with cool towels and counted out loud as I was pushing. In the middle I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish, but he told me I could and was so supportive. I love him sooo much.
Welcome Macy!
Macy was born at 9:06 PM weighing 7 lbs, 7.7 oz and was 20 inches long. She is just such a good baby. She hardly cries and she is sooo strong. She does not like her arms and legs being wrapped up and she will fight until she is free. Her daddy does the same thing with his feet claustrophobia.
Here are some pictures of our little Macy Belle.

Macy and me. I know I look awful, but delivering that little girl was hard work!

Just Waiting . . .
We are all ready to go, just waiting for it to be time. Baby Girl was bouncing all over the place last night and this morning. I guess she is just having too much fun to come out!
