I was just reading this article about Steve Angello v.s. Paris Hilton. I think this is an exemplary action any DJ should take while DJing and having people coming up the booth to request things. Stevie have my biggest respect. I must first make a claim. No, We are not a jukebox! Neither would I want to be hired because I am the so-called cheap option. That rant aside, I would like to announce the launch of a new series of Promo Mixtapes. The purpose of this is so that the CDs will be burnt and sent across Melbourne clubs/ bars as a part of a promotion drive.
Recently, I had the opportunity of DJing on two ocassions. Once in Derelitc Ball in our very own university campus and on a particular BioMedical River Cruise. Both of which have been good. I reckon BioMed Cruise was probably the best one I have done for Radio Monash. People were wild. There was one 'Paris Hilton' incident though. Two girls came up to be and ask me to play something diirty and something they can mouth to (the other partner). OK. That goes against my ideals. I said OK. to them. (i shouldn't have done that) but I didn't played any dirty tracks. Cos: I didn't had any in the first place =D. Hahahaa. Sometimes, I love to tease the crowd like I was getting a few request to play hip hop. Which I only did after the party after claiming I didn't had any on my laptop. Hey It's the truth! I couldn't find it! But there's something I would agree on. Principalities and Ideals must be kept. With a world filled of flith and junk. I must stand up against the masses to say. "Hell, No"
No to the Devil.
No to Hell.
Hell, No!
Amen.
