Havasupi
I haven't used this blog much lately because there's been SO much going on with the wedding and vacations and all those WONDERFUL things! But I just wanted to post a few things here that I didn't want to miss along the way.
2 weeks before we got married, Tom and I were able to go to Havasupi with his family! This was my first Meyer family vacation, and my only one where I won't be part of the family! This was SUCHHH an amazing trip. We hiked in on a Monday, hiked out Thursday and went to the Grand Canyon before we made the drive back to Utah. It was so good to hike around, swim, jump off high things, and spend time with this new family of mine.

So many amazing waterfalls to see and jump off!
Some of the waterfalls are a treacherous hike/rock climb to the bottom!
NOT edited!
<3 these two. So adorable.
This lady thought they were ours and offered to take a picture of our family altogether! Haha.. I guess I could have a 10 year old?
Grand Canyon! So pretty.
The whole crew.
Here's the little video from the trip! Enjoy.

Engagement Video
Our Engagements from Andrea Brinton on Vimeo.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Rosemary Card for filming our engagement shoot the other day with Mikki Platt Photography!! She did such a great job, even through the RAIN! And Rose was even kind enough to let me do the editing! We had a two day shoot because we got rained out, but we tried to make the most of that little incident! Can't wait to get our pictures back from Mikki! She's doing our whole wedding, and I couldn't be happier about that! If anyone is looking for a photographer, go to mikkiplattblog.com and check her out! She's a busy bee because she's so amazing!

The Proposal.
Last Sunday morning, this cute boy asked me to marry him.
The answer was obvious and easy to say. There is nobody in the world I would rather be with forever!
Tom and I met in Jerusalem on our study abroad with BYU this past Fall. Such an amazing experience that only people who have been will ever understand, and I feel so lucky to be able to share that with my HUSBAND forever. Our dating history was pretty complicated and a lot of back and forth. We started dating at the end of October, and Tom had his work cut out for him with me! He persisted through a lot of drama, and things seemed to be moving right along. He was one of my best friends on the program before we even started dating, and we had such a good foundation for a good relationship. When we got home in December, things changed in my mind, and we broke up. I saw him at a Jerusalem reunion about a month later, and I couldn't stop thinking about him the whole week. I wondered if I had ended things too prematurely, and if I had made a SERIOUS mistake. After I contacted him, we got back together a few days later, and we started talking about getting married at the end of February. We both knew we had a good thing, and that we WANTED to be together, but we just had to know for sure if it was what we were supposed to do.
Toward the beginning of March, we started looking at rings, and we decided we wanted to do a custom design. With all the revisions and things, the ring took almost two MONTHS to finish up. I just wanted to be engaged to this sweet boy, and I was sick of avoiding questions about us getting married, and how serious we were getting! I just wanted to be able to shout it from the rooftops that we're GETTING MARRIED!!!
Saturday night I was sleeping up at Rosie's house in Highland, because Brooke was in town from CA for the weekend, and we had planned a little girls sleep over. Tom's sister, McKenzie was giving her farewell the next morning in Ogden. The plan was that Tom would pick me up at Rosie's and we would drive together up to her farewell. I thought for sure he would propose on Saturday because his whole family would be there, and I had a bridal shower on Tuesday that his aunt and sister were throwing for me before McKenzie left! So it would be "convenient" to propose that day before all the festivities! But when he didn't propose on Saturday, I realized that he probably wasn't lying, and he REALLY DIDN'T have the ring yet :(
We decided to go on a "Sunday Morning Adventure" on Saturday night, and planned to go up American Fork Canyon to this reservoir that Rosie knew about. In my mind, this was Rosie's idea... They told me to invite Tom because it would just be easier, and they wouldn't have to bring me back early so he could pick me up. It made more sense that Tom just come, and we could leave early if we needed to.
After we left in our own car, Rose called Tom and told her she had to "go back and get her camera" so it was just the two of us driving up the canyon. The whole way I was complaining about how we were going to be late up to Ogden, and we didn't have time for this, and we should just turn around now and go back cause everyone will think we are ridiculous for being late to his sister's FAREWELL! He insisted that we just keep going, and it'll be worth it.
A series of funny events happened, like how we realized we had to pay to get up, but neither of us had our wallets, and it was Sunday, but the lady so willingly let us go up for free, (because Tom had come up earlier and told her he was going to propose later, and to PLEASE just let him through when he came back!) Looking back, she let us in way too easily.
We stood there hugging and I noticed Tom's heart beating out of his chest like crazy! So oblivious, I was saying, TOM your heart is going NUTS! I can feel it AND hear it, that's so funny! Little did I know he was about to ask me to be his WIFE in about two seconds. So he pulled me away and told me he loved me, and how he told me this would be worth coming. And I was thinking, yeah this is great and all, but we really should get going! And then he kept going saying all these nice things to me, and I could tell he was a little bit nervous, and all of a sudden I realized what was happening! I realized that all my friends were part of this plan, and that this was all set up so Tom could PROPOSE!!! He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him.
Then I realized my friends standing up in the parking lot far away, and they came down and hugged us both. It was so fun having them all there as part of the experience. Such amazing friends I have.
I LOVE Tom so much, and I can't believe we are actually getting married in less than two months. I am so excited, and planning a wedding is one of the most fun things I've ever done! We have had so many amazing experiences together, and I know it's only going to get better from here. I love that Tom and I are going to raise a family together, and that he will be my children's DAD! I know that we'll have the best lives together, and support each other in everything we do. I love that I am being adopted into this whole new amazing family, and I FINALLY get all the little siblings I've always dreamed of having ;) I am so blessed to have met this amazing man, and I know we will make each other happy for the rest of our lives!

"Imagine GENERAL CONFERENCE"
I know this picture isn't the current quorum, but I just love it so much. Conference weekend in October and in April is the best time of the year. The weather has been so beautiful, and this new slew of messages from our prophets couldn't be coming at a better time in my life!
"What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same."

Kami Kami
I have a lot of friends going on missions lately. But one of my BESTS gave her farewell on Sunday. She asked me to play the piano while a few of our other friends sang Come Thou Fount, and it was just lovely.
Kami is just one of those people who you can see after a few months, and you just go straight back to being best friends. I've been lucky enough to have her around most of my life, and I'm excited for this new adventure she's about to go on! Love you Kami Kami!

Lovers Day
Valentines Day.
One of Reid's favorite Holidays.
She will always be my first Valentine.
We held strong on tradition this year and opted for a delicious heart shaped pizza from Brick Oven! So delicious We were laughing remembering last year when I was sick as a dog and surprised Reid with a heart shaped pizza and Chuck Bass for dinner.
Instead of doing homework like I should, Allison and I spent hours in the Wilk laughing about nothing and exaggerating situations beyond reality like we do best.
Rose and Sis threw a Valentines party in their PINK HOUSE. So fun to see so many faces I love all in one night.
Luckily my real Valentine got done with his test finally so he could come hang out with me :)
This cutie definitely made this Valentines one to remember.
And our kitchen table is literally covered in cookies, donuts, candies, and 4 vases of beautiful flowers. Between 2 boyfriends and a lot of really sweet people, we're on a fast track to obesity over here at MC 1.
So Tommy and I have a pretty cool dating history, if I do say so myself. We met in Jerusalem for goodness sake. I put this little number together for this here day of lovers.
