Camp Victory

The weekend after Labor Day we had went to Campu Victory with other families from our church for a family camp. What would normally be a cool fall weekend, was hot and humid.

We played some mini-golf . . .

and then found the river to cool off in.

The dads taking the kids for a little river walk.

To finish our quick weekend, we had a tractor ride. The driver was CRAZY!

We all held on for dear life:)

We love the families that are involved with us at church! So thankful for them!

North Shore

We took our first family vacation.
It was just us and we had lots of fun!

Hiking to Lower Falls along the Canadian border.
Taking a long hike up to the Middle Falls.

Blueberry picking at Palisade Head.

Taking a ride at Lutsen Mountain.

Elijah and Daddy doing the Alpine slides.
Elijah was the brave one.

We met up with some friends!
We just happened to be vacationing at the same time:)

We did another good hike up the Split Rock River.
It was beautiful! The kids taking a snack break:)

Thankful for our friends!

Our Family
The Ross Family.

We ended our trip taking a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.
We stayed at some friends cabin in Silver Bay. It was the perfect place as we were able to drive up and down the north shore and experience lots of fun adventures!
Feeling Blessed!

Tough Mudder 2013

This spring Aaron and some guys from church began training for the Tough Mudder, a 10.5 mile run with 19 obstacles throughout.
The day finally arrived!

The team with the kids that came to cheer them on.

And they are off.

The wives ran through the fields and woods to watch some of the action. And give water and energy packs when they needed it.

The trenches

Daddy asked if anyone wanted a hug:)

Along the race

And the finish.
Aaron said it was fun, he felt like he trained well except for the last obstacle: Electric Shock Therapy. Aaron got hit and he fell hard, hard enough to puncture a small rock in the palm of his hand and scrape up a legs a bit.
Thankful for Bryan, on the left, who is a PA and had some medicine and tools at home to do a little surgery to get it out. And he preached the next day:)
So proud of Aaron!
