Let the Right One In

So this one was great as well. It's about a relationship between a boy and a girl (who just happens to be a vampire). I don't really want to say more about it, but it's good. I'm not one for horror or vampire flicks, but this one was good because it was more than just a scary movie.

The Great Dictator

So last week I watched "The Great Dictator" which was written/directed and starred Charlie Chaplin. It was amazing. I highly recommend it. I think what hit me the hardest was that it was made in 1940, while all the WWII stuff was going on. His interpretation was spot on and kinda spooky. He saw what was going on and this was his way to take a stand and let other people know about it. I know that he wasn't the only one in the U.S. who knew about what was going on, but it seems like he was one of the only people to actually do anything about it. The movie is also really funny. His spoof on Hitler's speeches are hilarious! For anyone who hasn't seen it, put it on your Netflix--you won't be disappointed.

So after viewing some of my friends/family blogspots, I thought maybe I could start my own. I think I'm just gonna write about books, movies, music, and/or things that I find amusing, annoying, anything. Because I've been called assertive several times in my life--not to mention everyday-- I thought I should let you know that I probably will at some point write some things that are harsh. This is just who I am. I am trying to improve my abrassiveness with people and I don't really try to sound mean, it just happens. So anyway, that's that. I just though I should let you know.
