Polka dot cake for a one year old. The colors match the dress she was wearing.

Library Time

Last week we went to the library with grandma Lorrie. The library in her town is AMAZING! The children's area has a Peter Pan theme complete with a ship.

What did I do?

Micah's hair was getting way too long, but he hates getting it cut. He screams and holds his head and it is impossible. So I have been waiting until he is asleep and then hacking at it with scissors. That was also challenging. So I decided to give him a short cut for the summer. Now I miss his baby hair. Here is the before and after!

Mother's Day 2010

This Mother's day was great this year. Dodd took the kids the the dollar store and let them pick stuff out for me. Brooke got pots, dirt and seeds. Jake picked a pink heart jewelry box, and Kelsey picked a big box of candy of course. She is my sugar baby!! I love being a mom the these awesome kids!
On Saturday we went to Camarillo to see Dodd's mom. It was fun to visit with all the family. After lunch we went to the skate park. What mom doesn't enjoy a good skate park?

All caught up

You may have noticed my increased number of posts. That would be due to the fact my parents left last week on another cross country RV trip. They will be gone 4 months and I must remind them how cute their grand kids are and not to forget us! Yes, I am 31 and have separation issues. I wanted to blog about what we have been doing but felt I couldn't just skip some important events. Now that I am caught up I can continue with more recent things.

We went camping last weekend at the beach. It turned out to be a beautiful weekend and we had a good time hanging out with friends.

My baby turned 2 in April! We had family over for dinner and cake. Micah loves airplanes!! That is all he talks about! Well he doesn't really talk, he just waves his hand in the air and makes noises. Kewoo! So of course he had to have an airplane cake.

Easter

We went to my brother's house for Easter. My kids love their cousins. We had a great time dying eggs, flying planes, playing video games, going to a space museum, and eating! Can't wait to see them again.

Going way back.

Way back in January I surprised Dodd with a snow trip for his birthday. We stayed in this cool cabin. I invited his buddy's family, who also has 4 children. There was lots of kids, lots of snow, and lots of fun. Brooke and Jake were both very brave this year and loved sledding down big hills. I loved having somewhere warm to go when the little ones were done after 10 minutes. Dodd's parents also came up for dinner and spent the night. My kids want to go back, but I think snow season for us is done. We will have to wait until Dodd's next birthday.
