better late then never....

Rob & I went to the air show in Vegas in November, 2010. (like the heading says...better late then never....right? hahaha) We drove down to Nellis Air Force Base early on a saturday morning with Rob's little brother, Ryan and some friends. Also, MinDee & her family came as a Birthday present/party for Easton for his fun day. His two cousins, Mason & Hunter got to come too. The least fun was the LONGEST LINE EVER to get on the shuttles to get over to the air show, but it was also the most amusing to be walking through the metal detectors and find out Hunter was packing a pocket knife/tool thing. :) But, they let us in anyway and we were off to a day of fun, family, patriotism, and amazing jets/fly-bys.

It was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. I can't wait to go again next year. This will totally become a family tradition for us. And the best part..........it's FREE!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNEDY DEAR...

Kennedy turned 5 on March 8th!! We had a big birthday party with all of the Hansen family. G & G Hansen, Great G & G Ence, The Rombergers, and the Hansens were all there to help us celebrate. I made her this fun cake after seeing it on Cindy Larkin's facebook page. :) (thanks for the idea Cindy, it was a HUGE hit) She got lots, and lots of presents. Barbie clothes, a Strawberry Shortcake house, a jacket, jewelry box & jewelry, lip gloss, money and a princess tent.

Happy Birthday Kennedy, we can't believe you're 5 already. You're growing up sooooo fast. We love you and can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays to come.

What do you do....

...on a Saturday with GORGEOUS weather and Kennedy in town? Why you go fishing with the Romberger family. :) Saturday was so pretty here in So. UT and Kennedy was spending the weekend with Rob and I so we wanted to do something fun and she wanted to be with her cousins. She LOVES her cousins. So, we ran into the Rombergers on a walk to find people to play with and MinDee suggested fishing. Of course Rob and Nate were on board and thought that Quail Res would be the best because it would have the best weather. They were spot on. It was such a nice afternoon. So we packed a picnic of PB&J's for the kids and Subway's for the adults and spent the afternoon together. Nate got a nice fish, about an 11 incher and gave it to Rob to take home and cook. MinDee and I read through all the fun cooking magazines Grandma Ence had given us and we all LOVED watching Bryson use his new fishing pole. It even had 'Buzz' on the handle. :)
Rob put a weight at the end of Bryson's pole and he just kept flinging it in the water and thought he was the best fisherman ever. It was making us laugh so hard, cuz sometimes his face would show so much determination. And whenever Nate or MinDee would cast out further into the water Bryson would try and fling his pole further and further. He was so cute. I can't wait to have a little fisherman of Rob & my own one day.

And Kennedy, Cloee, Easton and Mason just played the whole time. A little fishing here, a little fort building there, a little playing house here, a little peeing in the bushes there....etc, etc. you get the idea, they had a blast. :)
It was such a fun afternoon. Thank you to the Rombergers for sharing some fun memories with us. It got us excited to go camping/fishing this summer. Family is so much fun to be with too.

So, I went to a bridal shower last night and my cousin was there that wasn't able to make it to my wedding. Put down your pitch forks, call off the mobs, I have finally blogged again. :) Hope you enjoy, I love looking at them over and over. We loved our wedding and loved how everything turned out.
