so after church on sun, my small group went out to celebrate diane's return and fish's birthday.. ate at ding tai fung at wisma.. haha my 2nd time eating there and i conclude that the LaMian from crystal jade la mian xiao long bao is nicer =P haha i love the layered cake at ding tai fung tho! NICE!

that night some of us went sanmei's bro's hse to watch soccer! the england match was so boring! hahaha but the portugal-netherlands match was sooo exciting! so entertaining and quite dumb too =P


haha yes, this is michelle! (shes not in my small group) but she came over to watch cos her tv at home is very tiny one!! =P hahaha! can hardly see the players faces ha! she left after the eng game!

we went for a 15min walk downstairs and here's weili trying to prove that the snail is really really tiny!

haha so eng won! so portugal won! it'll be an england-portugal quarter finals =) woohoo!

and i passed my final theory test! which was incidentally at 915am in the morn! (after a whole night of staying up watching soccer!) i read "road shoulder on the expressway" as "right shoulder on the expressway".. and was trying to recall if ive seen any road shoulders that appear on the right side of the expressway =/ haha

hmm back from switzerland and italy! =)

switzerland was sooo nice! the scenery was simply breathtaking! loved the mountains there! the lush green hills! the small houses in the middle of a hugge green field/hill! wow! simply amazing how fresh the air there is!
ive been to switzerland 10 yrs ago, didnt leave such a lasting impression, guess cos i was quite young then! but now i really appreciate how well-run the country is! so clean! so well-maintained =) but the stuff there are quite ex! heh
went mt schilton, schafaussen (erps my spelling totally sucks! =/ ), mt titlis, zermat (matterhorn - the toblerone mountain haha), bern, luzern, zurich! WOW! sooo nice! i love taking the trains, cos the scenery is soo beautiful =) staring out of the window looking at things that cant be seen in spore, smelling the fresh air (which sometimes smelt of cowdung =/ ) haha
nice time hanging out with my family! esp my bros! =) hahaha we did stoopid things in the train to entertain ouselves, like take stoopid photos of ourselves and our parents =P ha!

italy is more rustic, the place there dirtier, air not as clean as switzerland.. but its a great place to be in! it was really baking hot when i was there tho =/ so didnt enjoy it as much as i think i shd have enjoyed it.. lots of ruins in rome, ate the supposedly best gelato in the world, drank very nice coffee! mmmmm =P visited the vatican city, the trevi fountain, spanish steps, leaning tower of pisa! and and michaelangelo's works are simply amazing! his paintings in sistine chapel, his sculpture of David in florence.. amazing!!! sooo nice!

wow! i hate to be back in spore honestly.. many reasons actually! this hol being one of them! after seeing so many nice things overseas, spore is incomparable! i guess im just looking at things on the surface, sure we have a stable economy, but whatever, im very irrationale when i make choices and decisions anyway.. so yah! i really hate to be back.. except for the fact that i'll miss my friends and family here in spore, i wld actually love to stay elsewhere..

anyway, enough of such stuff to dull a supposedly happy post! i'll post some pics when ive seen and chosen the better photos =) i took TONNES of photos! i think most of them looked alright! =P haha

i want to go visit europe next april! france spain portugal london (to visit friends).. hmm sounds nice! i love travelling!
in florence i met this irish guy who was travelling alone by himself in rome and florence before some friend's wedding in a town not far from pisa.. he's quite cool! hmmm ive been wondering if travelling alone is all that fun! i think i wld be bored to death? =/ but its so cool to take a year off work or study to just travel! buy a round the world plane ticket! i want to do this! no money sadly =( and might not have the time as well..

hmm im jetlagged! and my brain's been doing some thinking.. and well, life plays tricks on us all the time! =/ ive been pranked! not only by friends, but perhaps by someone else out there too..

ah well, im still gd! and im thinking if i shd watch argentina-mexico! argentina plays nice football.. and i dislike germany and brazil a lot!! =/ soccer's here! (well it was here sometime ago!) but all the nice matches are being played these few days! haha i hope either brazil or germany wont win! i have no idea why i dislike them, i just dont like them! HA! =P

last week zoomed past real quickly! haha i havent been updating, so i shall attempt to write abt the highlights of this week..

watched She's the Man on sunday with ppl from my small group at cine! at first NO ONE wanted to watch with me (ok la except for grace and shengrong) but in the end, we all ended up watching! haha and it was a really really nice show! heartwarming feel-gd chick flick! =P even fish (who was soo soo soo against watching the show, said it was not bad!! tsk! =P) haha the show was soo funny! i sat next to hazel in the cinema and we just laughed and laughed quite non-stop! =D amada bynes was gd! haha and hrmph, channing tatum is quite gd looking! ha =P haha and watching the show was made even better with excellent service from my bro! (who was working there on sun! =P )

last week was also my mum's birthday! haha and we went to noblehouse for dinner! ala-carte buffet =P haha 2nd time ive eaten there! and YAY! my parents and bro like that place too =) i decided not to stuff myself too much this time ard! ha! smart me =P

and i went bugis last week too! haha i think the number of times ive been to bugis can be counted on one hand! ok la, maybe two haha but def nothing more than that =P i bought quite a lot of things that day! (again!!) ok fine, thats not new and shocking anymore, considering that ive bought a lot of things, spent quite a lot of money this time ard! and im so shock to find out that GSS lasts till july! 0_o erps! i hope i get so bored with shopping soon! cos i need to stop spending money!! =/ yikess! haha shopping at bugis with xq and weili was err, quite an experience! i think all they did was laugh at me! they didnt buy anything!! erps =/ and thanx for giving me a most horrendous fitting room experience! =/

haha oh no! ive been eating so much nonsense and junk food recently! on thurs, my small group went to eat ben and jerry's after bible study! =P haha and to my (and quite a few other ppl's) amazement, weili actually ate ice cream! =P hahaha! and not only one scoop, but two!! after eating ben and jerry's for the many-th time, i still conclude that haagen daz is a lot nicer! =) ha! the waffle cone that night at ben and jerry's got quite soft after a while (but at least the ice cream didnt start leaking out from the bottom of the cone! 0_o )

HA! i went rollerblading this week also! (something less lardy that eating and eating huh! =P ) haha it was FUN! i love rollerblading! zoomzoomzoom! and can feel the breeze in your face! ha! and it helped that it was kind of raining that morning, the sun wasnt really up, so it was cooling and nice! haha oh we took like 55 mins to get from the skate rental shop (which is near macs) to bedok jetty! hahaha sounds so long hor? =P ha!

oh right, i went shopping (again!!) with my mum on sat.. and i bought more things! =P hahaha but i didnt go into giodarno ok? =P stop being mean ppl!! =( bought dunno what i forgot liao.. haha but there were quite a few things =)

alright ppl, dont be mean to me! and haha i'll be away for days, so u all will have no one to be mean to! =P HA! tsktsk..

birthday celebrations galore! (actually not galore la, just 2 in 2 days! =P ) haha mich's bday and my mum's bday =)

we celebrated mich's bday by going to Sijori Wondergolf.. it was so so so HOT!! =/ the course was supposed to be 18 holes, (and we -had- to choose to play the harder course!) but it was so hot and tiring and we were all sweating a lot that we decided to stop after the 9th or 10th hole! haha..
mich hit the very first ball! and guess what?? she completely, totally missed the ball!!! 0_o and her golf club hit this cone-like triangular thing which made a loud sound! POONNNG!! which sent vibrations through the ground! =P hahaha! (ok, fine, it wasnt that dramatic! =P )

for main course, i had this pork cutlet with nice nice apple sauce served with this super unique tasting apple salad! haha mich and dedrick ate lamb, weili and annalisa had steak, fish had some pie thing (it was vegetarian! =P ) and xq had squid ink pasta with king prawns!
DESSERTS! was really really GOOD!! mmmm!!! we ordered pavalova! (my fav! =P ) haha sticky date pudding served with sour cream, creme bulee (served with pear wine which was very nice!! ha!) and some apple upside-down tart served with ice cream!


pavalova!!! it had a lot of fruits (kiwi, raspberry, blueberry, banana, passion fruit etc etc etc!) soooo nice! mmm! =P


this is the creme brulee! so chocolate-ty n gd! =P haha which came with pear wine (that tasted really really nice!! woohoo! =P )


here's the restaurant we dined at! it's called BROTH! haha if u all can see the words on the glass window behind me and weili (we look horrible btw!! =/ ), it says "Bar Restaurant On The Hill".. so cool huh! =P haha


but poor xq and dedrick (who doesnt seem that sad cos he's gotten away with many other countless cheating =P ) got a parking fine when we parked at duxton hill! =(


we all went to esplanade, from duxton hill (in 3 cars!! =/ ) and plonked ourselves down at max brenners where mich n i ordered Suckao =P haha! we get to melt choc pellets into hot milk! looks very cute one! =) haha
