i'm back from a 4 day trip to bangkok and it was very tiring! spent an average of 8-10 hrs a day walking ard and shopping! =P

thurs june 23
took a jetstar asia flight to bangkok and i must say, the seats were really quite comfortable and nice!! =) i checked into asia hotel and then went for lunch at this jap place at mbk, where i ordered a yakinniku set for only abt 140baht.. which comes up to ard 6 dollars! =)
after that, i went for thai massage and aromatic foot massage.. gosh, the thai massage was really painful! haha the person literally bent my arms, legs, back and everywhere! i could here bones creaking.. eeps! kind of proves of unfit/unhealthy i am =P anyway, the aromatic foot massage was gd!! and for abt 2 hrs, it was only 1200baht.. after that was a bit of shopping at mbk, then a steamboat dinner at mk restaurant (which cost 4 of us only 446 baht) =)

fri june 24
went to chinatown in the morn, and i bought lots and lots of earrings! and some other accessories =) after that, went to central to shop for a while (but it wasn't that great cos the stuff are quite upmarket).. went back to mbk to shop somemore!! haha love to shop at mbk cos it's absolutely huge! =P and had steamboat dinner at coca restaurant!! i really love coca! =) that wasn't all for the day, went back to hotel and changed, and went to this place called moonbar at the banyan tree hotel! it's a rooftop bar! but too bad it had been raining in the aft and thus, no stars and moon to see =( it had a nice view of almost the whole of bangkok though! =) haha i had alcohol, and for a bar at a hotel, the prices are really not ex! haha it was like 240baht for a drink, which comes to ard S$10 =) went to bed at ard 2 am bangkok time..

sat june 25
chatuchak! went there at ard 11 sth and walked ard.. boy, it was so so crowded! and everyone kept stepping on a new slipper that i bought the previous day! =( haha but thankfully it wasn't that hot! bought some stuff, like bags, slippers, shirts for my bros etc etc.. but it got too crowded and hot, so i went to suan lum night bazaar in the late aft =) it's tonnes better than chatuchak cos it's a lot less crowded and it's huuuge too! there're even decent places to dine there =) bought a bit more stuff there.. went to eat thai food for dinner at a restaurant opp my hotel =) my uncle wanted to bring us to another bar called dome, but haha i was super duper tired, so i declined =P

sun june 26
last day in bangkok! met grace early in the morn (ok it was early for me!! but grace was already going off haha) and we decided to be boliao and send sms to jeremy and the small group.. packed my luggage (my mum did most of the packing actually! =P) then went to mbk again where i bought some last min stuff, and bought the nice fruit-shaped-tau-sa thing =) haha then i went to this place near the chao praya river for lunch, but of cos, i didn't eat near the river cos it was quite smelly!! =P after that, it was the airport.. in the plane, there were this les couple seated in front of me! haha gross!! anyway, here i am, home again in my nice comfy room!! =P

i need stuff to do and entertainment for the next few days.. and the next few weeks!! =P haha

haha woke up dreading to have to go for tuition.. but the day turned out to be EXCELLENT!! =P i love today actually! =)

in the afternoon, i went cycling with grace, andrea, jeremy and bevan.. and it was really quite fun! cos andrea drove, and had some powerful wavecard thing, most of us had free admission into sentosa =) haha we cycled for qutie some time, through some jungle trail, and then we got lost 10 million times trying to cycle to the carlsberg tower.. haha..

in the process of getting lost, we came across this bunch of ppl having tonnes of games and cheering, and so we were just standing there, looking at them, trying to guess which sch/church those ppl where from.. in the end, jeremy, being jeremy, said that we should all make a guess and see who's right! so he went up to the girl there and asked her what group that was.. haha it was actually a nus comm service group orientation camp =) haha so no one was correct!

anyway, in the end, jeremy found a map, and we managed to get to the bottom of the carlsberg tower.. what loomed ahead were steps, really high steps! haha and we were on bikes, soooo, we had to barry our bikes up like 5 or 6 flights of stairs.. but it was quite ok lah.. and with the funky wavecard, most of us had free ride on the carlsberg tower (sorry jeremy!! that u had to pay.. but i contributed a bit! =) ) it was quite an interesing experience.. haha

after that, we left sentosa at ard 5 plus to head to jeremy's house to wash up and change..

and..

this is the best part!! STEAMBOAT buffet!! hahaha i had tonnnnesss of food! my tummy's HUGE now! =P haha and plus plus, we had chocolate fondue and DURIAN ice cream for desert!! woah! haha sounds so tempting right? =P the place is called rajahinn, and it's at thiong bahru plaza =) it really was worth the 19.80 that we paid.. and their staff was so friendly and nice! haha if anything, i would go back just to eat the durian ice cream.. it was heavenly!! haha

i'm hoping that tmr will be a slack and rest day for me =)

hmm i'm excited! =) thursday is coming, and that means i get to go to bangkok for shopping and more shopping! haha but right now, i'm stoning in front of the computer, wondering what to do with my time as i wait for 1:45am for the US Indianapolis Grand Prix to start.. haha.. everyone must be thinking that "oh man, that's damn retarded! staying up so late just to see cars go round and round a silly track.." but it's the slacking and bumming days for me =P i'll be bored otherwise..

after stopping work for so long, it's difficult trying to get myself out of the house for anything that even vaguely resembles work.. sigh, i have tuition tmr morn =( it's not fun leaving the house for sth that i don't particularly look forward too.. and i know how the army ppl feel i guess.. even though i know what i do nowadays cannot be compared to them! haha

anyway, what did i do the last few days, since my blog hasn't been updated yet for quite some time..

sat: erm, went cycling in the late morn and early aft at east coast park. then went to tampines mall to walk ard and do nothing. headed home to bathe and change. ac dance concert at acs i (which was rather SHORT but ok lah haha)

sun: church in the morn. lunch at pastamania (of which i got suaned quite badly by the same group of ppl!!!! urgh! haha u all rock lah! and u know who u are! =P). camp comm meeting at DOME. father's day dinner.

that's abt it.. my boring life =) haha

oh no.. i just suddenly realise today that my estate isn't going to be quiet and nice anymore! cos HDBs are rapidly rising in the area of land on the otherside of the main road.. and today, just as i got off the bus at a bus stop that used to be very quiet, there were tonnes of ppl who got off the bus too!! eeps.. then i observed further, and realise that many of them are like in t-shirt in shorts, aunty-looking outfits, which was never the case before the HDBs were built! haha and i told my mum abt it, of which she kind of agreed with me! =P oh no.. what a terrible estate it has become.. i hope it won't become another heartland - a place filled with tonnes of aunties and what-not! haha ok i know this is an evil entry.. but oh well =P

haha brad pitt is super hot! =P watched mr and mrs smith last night with diane, and i must say it's quite a brainless show (but it's the kind of shows that i like!! =P) haha but it was quite action and super funny at some parts! and wow! brad pitt and angelina jolie really rocked! =) hmm maybe i'm making the show seem better than it is, sorry!!

oh btw, i bought FIRST magazine cos they had brad pitt and angelina jolie and anna said i was super bimbo =( haha i'm not!!

haha went for medical checkup this morn with fish, yl and anna.. and wow, i woke up sooo early! it's amazing.. woke up at 7 oclock!! anyway, the nurses there said that my veins are very deep in.. haha a nicer version of "hmm u actually have tonnes of meat" =P and she found my vein by not actually seeing it but by feeling some lumps i think (after making me grip a stressball and exercising my arm haha) so pro!! =) after that we had to collect urine for some tests.. in order to be able to pee, i decided to drink tonnes of water! haha somewhat ard 500ml in less than half hr.. and boy, that did it for me! haha i had to pee 2 more times after i gave them my urine sample (which was really quite full btw) hahahaha! alright, it sounds damn gross!

sleep-deprived

woke up at 8:20am this morn!! i'm actually quite surprised that i made it out of bed this early! (though i was still late in meeting some friends for breakfast =P) haha this 8:20am has been the earliest i've woken up since the self-declared bumming days! i mean, most ppl would know that i usually don't wake up till ard 11+.. so 8:20am, and i must emphasize AM, is already quite a mean feat! =P

haha, well, tmr's going to be another early day for me, i have to wake up at gosh, 7 am i think!! =\ my sleeping hrs are just getting shorter and shorter..

oh during breakfast today, someone mentioned that in scotland (i think), the sun sets at ard 2pm, and prob rises at ard 4am? (i have no idea!!) haha but everyone kind of concluded that i won't really get to see the sun much if i were to live in scotland, considering how late i wake up nowadays =P i couldn't help but agree!!

dunno what's going to happen when uni starts, i'll probably enter the lects/classes in a daze.. till then i'm so going to get as much sleep as possible!! =) haha

started the day by going to church (first time i'm earlier than on time for church this yr =P) haha but anyway, after church we headed to don at hotel rendevous for lunch, where wiguna and glenn so happily started a chopsticks building campaign.. which was seriously retarded!! =P the highlight of the day was probably the ym bowling gala 2005 =) haha it was quite fun cos my team of fish diane wiguna and i were super funny and kept laughing and cheering! =P (okok, maybe the cheering part was only me =\) and wow, my bro was bowling next to me haha!

the 1st game was getting split, spare, strike! where u get 5 pts for splitting, 3 pts for sparing and 1 pt for striking =) haha our team rocked! despite diane not getting a single point, wiguna spared -almost- every frame! and fish and i did ok-ly well and wala! we were in 2nd place after the 1st game (trashed by my bro's team though =P)

so the 2nd game was miss the head-pin.. where if u miss the head-pin, every pin u whack down is worth 2 pts.. haha again, wiguna was SUPER pro! and i mean SUPER! haha he scored like 150 for that round.. while i only managed a 108 =( but haha, after that 2nd game, we were still in 2nd place (again, my bro's team was in 1st place) haha

then came the SUPER tension last game, where we had to get a score that is as close as possible to 333 =P well, the title of the blog probably already told u that my team managed that score!! during the course of the game, fish diane wiguna and i kept adding up the total scores after each completed frame and were like asking "so can i throw normally or gutter?? =P" haha it was really tension and i was damn kan chiong!! i really could feel my legs shaking as i threw each ball =P but we were at 330.. and needed 3 more pinfalls.. so we told fish to try to hit the side.. oh my gosh, at first the ball looked like it was going to hit the head pin (that's like 10 pins!!) haha but the ball turned, and wala! fish hit 3 pins!!!!! and after that i was just jumping and screaming and i think everyone thought i was mad! =P haha i think i screamed so loudly and suddenly that my ribs were hurting for a short span of time =\ ah well, such excitement must be shared what right? =P haha after that, i had the honour of guttering every single ball! i think i must have thrown at least 20 gutter balls today! what an unhonourable record =P

and well, my bro's team managed a 336, and yes! my team - fish diane wiguna me!! were the champions! =) hahaha! it was seriously fun bowling tog with fish diane and wiguna! =P cos aiyah, we didn't really wanted to win at first, just wanted to have fun.. but after we realised that there was a chance of winning, wiguna kept saying that "we MUST win!" haha! and for someone who hasn't bowled since the bowling gala last yr (and could still find his pair of socks - from last yr mind u! in his bowling bag), wiguna sure aced this yr's bowling gala! =P

my bro did well too! his team finished in 3rd place.. and it was quite fun bowling next to my bro lah, considering that we haven't bowled tog in AGES! =P haha i should drag him down to some bowling alley one day and spar with him, 'cept i think he won't want to hang out with me =P hahaha! ah well, younger bros!

yup, that basically summed up what i did yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening, and this afternoon.. haha.. if u haven't guessed what on earth i'm talking abt, well, i was playing mahjong for the better part of yesterday and today =P haha hmm sounds very tai-tai? well, it's what bored ppl do! and i'm so thankful that i've got a bunch of church friends who are equally bored and have nothing to do to accompany me in my tai-tai adventures! haha thanx grace diane fish jacintha mel jeremy =) oh guess what? i'm off for another round of mahjong with my mum and bro! oh my, what a mahjong addict =P

haha i've started my bumming days and i need activities and stuff to do! =P hmm it's not that easy to bum ard actually! trust me! when u're working, everything is so structured and routine, u know that u need to wake up at a certain time to start ur day, and after that, there's always a time for sth.. but now that i have to find my own things to do, it starts to become a little tricky =P

but well, had a super nice cheese fondue, pasta, salad, choc fondue dinner at alex lee's house last night! haha and i still can't believe that i turn red quite fast with just a bit of alcohol =( hmm but that's cool right? at least i know my limits =) heh
