Blogging has done a lot of things for me. I was thinking about this last night--I simply wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't started this blog. If I hadn't started taking so many photos for the blog, I likely wouldn't be a photo major, I wouldn't have gotten into art, I wouldn't even know half of the incredible people I have the privilege of being friends with today and my life would be on a completely different track. I needed blogging to become who I am today, but I'm so different than I was when I started blogging. I started this blog to write about style, claiming that I didn't care about gaining a following, but soon I got sucked into it in a way that I never planned. I became dependent on getting comments and followers. I don't regret anything about this, but I know I don't need it anymore.

Everything I used to do for the blog I do for myself now. I take photos for myself, I write for myself and I dress for myself--and it just seems like a chore to blog about them. What's more, I'm not sure I want to share these things anymore. This is the end of an era for me, but an end that's been a long time in coming. So that's that. I don't really have anything left to say here except for thank you. Thank you for reading, for commenting and for supporting me. It's been a pleasure getting to know you.

You can still find me at my website and tumblr. And you can email me (ambiguousalliteration [at] gmail [dot] com). Keep in touch.

I'm sad to see you go, but I'm glad that you are leaving because you feel like you don't need it anymore, not because something terrible happened. I'll definitely be following your webdite and tumblr closely, and can't wait to see where the coming years take you and your amazing photos.

Best of luck,
Rosie

I get the sense a lot of people are tiring of blogging now... sad to see you go, but if the time is right, then it's really for the best. Good luck with your travels & I will most definitely follow you on tumblr/flickr/etc! x

I'll be sad to see you go, your posts were always thoughtful, and a pleasure to read, and your photos, incredible.
But this post could completely describe how I've been feeling lately. It seems that a lot of bloggers are leaving... Thinking back a year and a half ago when my blog was born, I am a completely new person now, and I really believe that blogging changed my life. And then yes, I got caught up in the popularity game like everyone else. And now, well now I'm not so sure anymore. I don't need my blog to push me to create, nor am I as reliant on comments or statistics. I've taken on new, healthier attitude. I blog when I want to blog.
I wish you the best of luck, on both your travels, your art, and just life in general. I'll be sure to stay up to date with your tumblr! And when I get home, I'll email you, I want to hear about Europe!

Amelia,

First off, congratulations on having your photos installed in an art show! That's very, very exciting and an honor you undoubtedly deserve! Your portfolio website is terrific. I'm actually browsing through it right now.

Have a grand time in Belgium and London! They're both places I'd love to explore someday. I'll be sure to check your Flickr for some travel snapshots :)

Your posts were always very thoughtful and inspiring. I will miss them, but I'm happy for you. Take care, dear. I wish you all the best.

Wow, I'm kind of sad that you're saying good bye. When I started blogging I was a big fan of your photographs(still am, I even showed your pictures to my friends jejeje) Your blog was one of the first I visited and I instantly fell in love with! I was so glad when you commented on my blog, I remember you were one of the first ones. But I'm happy for you, it's great to know what you want and follow it. I'm glad blogging helped you! Keep up the awesome work, I'll be following your flickr and website because I can never stop looking at your pictures. Take care, have fun and good luck on all your new adventures!
Love Louie, Ciao!

Darling it is so sad to see you leave, however I know how you feel and somehow I've been thinking the same about the blogosphere. Though sad, I am happy you are finding your way and making your love for photography your life and that in some way our little comments lifted you where you are today. Always keep in touch, I'll be following you also because your art and vision are just too gorgeous to not want to take part in. =)
