Baby Baby Baby

So when I'm not working, pretty much I hang out at home and obsess over the baby....

Clean the house, shop for supplies, research random baby stuff, make a pregnancy ticker for the blog... (isn't it cute?)

Right now, as part of my "cleaning" process, I'm ripping all of our cds (because I found a box with even more...sigh) and getting rid of a lot of them to make more room in the house.  And I'm bored. :) Facebook and blog reading can only take me so far.  On the plus side, the stack of physical cds I'm keeping and the stack I'm giving away are about equal. That's happy.

In other news, we decided on a crib. (I actually pretty much had it picked out, but was undecided on the color.) Now we know what we want.  Too bad Matt won't let me get it.  I'm not allowed to purchase anything until after we have baby showers, even though the liklihood of someone purchasing a crib (which ranges from $200-$230) for us is quite slim.  I think if I had the nursery completely cleaned out and paint on the walls, I might could order it.

Thanks to Pinterest, I also found the base paint color I want for the nursery.  Thanks to Valspar.com (which is the brand of the paint I liked) I also have accent colors.  Three colors (5 shades picked out) possible for if we have a boy (to go with the art I'm buying if we have a boy).  Purple (three shades picked out) if we have a girl.  All stored nicely in "my projects."  I also have a little bit lighter base shade picked, in case I find the one I saw on Pinterest is too dark for my liking.

I think if I had the nursery completely cleaned out, I would go ahead and buy the paint and paint all of the walls for now (since I don't know for certain which will be the accent wall until I have furniture).  Then we could also get the two extra bookcases I want to put in the baby's room.  Too bad I have so much stuff I just don't know what to do with....and a whole corner filled with drums and drum supplies :p

OMG so many cds. Granted, this is partly my fault.  When they moved editing to corporate and out of the phone centers, I found in one of the drawers a whole bunch of cds from previous editors. Mostly burned copies. I brought a bunch home, so I'm just now going through them and copying their contents.  Still, so many!  Next I have to scan a whole bunch of pictures. Dad gave me a tote full and I have some from a friend that I need to scan and return.  And then I have to figure out what I'm doing with our VHS tapes.  We don't have a VCR, so I need to determine if I want to buy any on DVD and get rid of the tapes....but then I've also run out of room to store DVDs.  And this is why cleaning out the nursery is such a pain :) It has served as our storage room for two years :)

Anyway, shameless plug for people to buy me things in a couple months when we can have baby showers (because I'm still 6 weeks out from finding out the gender), please visit my Pinterest board where I'm storing everything I want.

Matt actually gave me permission to purchase this onesie when I showed it to him the other day.

Please note, however, I'm not fully decided on a diaper bag, just in case anyone wanted to get me one :)  Just not the Fisher Price one. I left it on the board because of the comment posted by my cousin.  Apparently the quality is crap.  Sad news too, because I love the pockets.

Anyway, I should probably get ready for work while I let more CDs rip.
