This is my progress on my Cherry Cake from Country Cottage Needleworks. I am stitching it on 32 ct Bay Leaf Jobelan. I really like the Crescent Colors floss. This is a SAL I am doing with Little House Needleworks group.
Stash Shopping
I have been to Down Sunshine Lane again. I ordered 4 of the Christmas ornaments. I ordered Baked Goods, Cardinal Winter, Gingerbread Village and Silent Night. I love the charts and the Crescent Colors. Now to get some of what I have started finished so I can start some more!

Brutus
This is Brutus our little rescue dog. He was so sick and covered in sores when we found him. I didn't really plan on having another dog but he is so sweet and adorable. He has healed up and his hair is growing back in. It kind of just sticks out. Dr. Williams said he is about 1 year old. He weighs 5 lbs and loves to lay in my lap and sleep. Link wasn't to happy with the idea of having a little brother but they are buddies now.

Update on Stash Order
Cherry Cake and Mississippi Riverboat both came in the mailbox on Monday. Down Sunshine Lane was very quick in their delivery! I am expecting House of Stitches delivery today. Which is also pretty quick. I have been sick with a terrible cold so I have only put in a few stitches on Monday night. Then I had to frog half of it out. Maybe I can stitch this evening. The Crescent Colors floss the came with Cherry Cake are beautiful. Happy Stitching everyone!

Shoping Saturday
I went shopping at my 2 favorite online stores House Of Stitches and Down Sunshine Lane. I ordered Mississippi Riverboat and The Chocolate Shop from Littlehouse Needleworks. I ordered Cherry cake from Country Cottage Needleworks and Crescent Colors. I also ordered the floss for Chocolate Shop and some 28 ct Lambswool Jobelean. The Strawberry cake is on back order so I will be looking for that to come in to. I am so looking forward to my mail lady stopping at my box!

This was the 13 year cicadas. There were thousands in our woods and hundreds on our property. They were very loud. Watching them emerge from the shell and change was very interesting. They would crawl out of the ground, crawl up a tree and after a short while they would work themselves out of the shell. They would hang onto the tree while their wings emerged and they changed from white to tan and brown. Then they would fly up into the tree to lay eggs and start their 13 year cycle.

Stitching Update
I worked on Caring Wings for over 4 hours Monday evening. I was so excited to come home from work yesterday and stitch some more but our power went out when a storm blew in and was off until bed time. So no stitching at all. Maybe this evening the power will stay on and I can stitch. I have her face finished and I am working on her arm. I have to order a beading needle soon which is great because it will mean all the stitching is finished!

SAL Mirabilia
I need some motivation to get the rest of Caring Wings finished. Anyone working on a large project that would like to stitch along with me?
