Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We had a good time eating way too much and visiting with all the family at my mom and dad's house. Our oldest daughter could not come because she had a bad stomach virus. It was sad her not being there. After dinner we decorated our Christmas tree. It is beautiful, lots of ornaments and lots of clear lights. I did not go to the Black Friday sales this year. We had some snow and freezing rain around 9:00 Thursday night. Most of the things I wanted went on sale at midnight and since its a bit of a drive I did not want to take a chance on ending up in a ditch. My daughter did go and she picked up everything I wanted for me. I cooked dinner here on Friday and we had some friends over. It was nice. Today I did laundry and did some more decorating. We put lights on a tree in our yard. We usually put lights all around our roof but I was concerned Joe might fall off the roof. His balance is just not that good anymore. The tree looks very pretty! Tomorrow morning is Mass and then back to work on Monday. We have had a nice holiday.

I have finished Acorns. Now to find another chart. I think this one will be an ornament from my new Just Cross Stitch ornament book

Finish!

I finished a Lizzie Kate 'Winter' and worked on Through the Woods. I started Little House Needleworks 'Acorns' and I am half finished with it. I also finished a Lizzie Kate Christmas. On Saturday I bought Just Cross Stitch 2010 Ornament issue at our Halmark store! It has some awesome ornament patterns. My magnifying glass make a hugh difference in seeing 28 ct. but I got a headach from wearing them so much today. Happy Stitching! Christmas is just a few weeks away!

Stitching Update

What a long week. I have been trying to finish up some stitched gifts for the girls. I have almost finished 2 more ornaments. Through the Woods only likes a little being done. I have about 3 bundled of yarn left to finish the afghan. I still need to stitch a few more ornaments. I do have a craft table set up in the extra bedroom so I have a comfortable place to put my ornaments together. I have also worked on Caring Wings. I bought myself a pair of magnifying glasses for $5.00 the other day. What a difference they make! I have no line bifocals but they just aren't good enough. These new glasses are perfect. I wish I could see that clear all the time! lol Well time to get back to stitching. I am almost finished with a Lizzie Kate 'Winter' which I will make into a hanging ornament. Happy Stitching!

I finished Holly and Berries. I have started a small christmas ornament that I might get finished today.

I have started a Bent Creek Zipper kit called Snowflakes. I have several Christmas projects already started I need to finish.

News in Ky

We have had some beautiful weather this past week. I have done some spring cleaning and I still have alot left. I have not stitched much lately. Keep thinking I am going to have more time..soon maybe. I have little plants growing here and there in my flower gardens. My redbud tree is in beautiful bloom along with my March flowers. My lilac bush also has several blooms coming out. I love the smell of lilac. I hope all my friends are doing good and wish you all many happy stitching hours.

Stitching update and more

My santa ornament is still under construction...so is my Thru The Woods. I dont really like the time change and I would really like my hour back! I thought spring was here but the weather is very cool and rainy.. I am ready for sunshine and flowers!

WIP Stitching

I have been working on Through The Woods from Little House Needle Works. I have just a few hours left. I am going to work on it more tonight. I also have been stitching on my santa ornament. Today is cloudy but I don't think it is going to snow or rain. I am ready for spring. Joe picked me some March flowers yesterday! They were brave little things to make it to full bloom with the weather we have had.

IT WORKED!!!!

I have been trying for months to post on my blog! I am so happy!!! I dont know if i can change my background from snow or add photos, I am kind of afraid to try! lol I am happy to be blogging again. I missed my blog!!
