Amsterdam

This weekend a few of us went to Amsterdam for the day. We took a tour bus through outdoor rec. It was nice not to have to drive but it was still a LONG trip on an uncomfortable bus.

There are bikes EVERYWHERE

We got around on a hop on-hop off boat tour. It goes between all the major points of the city through the canals

These houseboats are all over the place. There were some super trashy ones and some pretty decent ones

We went to Anne Frank's house. We took a tour inside, but you can't take pics

This was a street market downtown

We got to tour a ship replica

A few recents

I just realized it's been awhile since I've updated so I'll post a few happenings as of late.

Parents Weekend
A few weeks back the parents came out for a visit. I took a couple days off work and we trecked around Germany a bit.
We went on the Rhine River Cruise, which involves sitting on a boat for a few hours eating food and looking at the dozens of castles along the river. It's a pretty sweet deal. (Many more pics on facebook)

YSA Happenings

Last week for FHE we went to a nearby castle and roasted hotdogs and mallows. Germany's cool like that.

Fuseball!
I love the world cup. It's awesome. Last game a couple of the guys came over for the day and we watched the USA and Germany games. Good times. (Jared doesn't normally have a black forehead...he colored his face for the game. He's also wearing a German flag.)
