For our last hurrah here in the UK we ended with a quick* visit to Paris.
* We took a red eye bus ride to get here. yes you read that right, A BUS! After like 15 minutes on it we realized it was passing by our house. We almost threw in the towel! KC almost asked the bus driver to stop and let us off there! It took about 8 hours to get to Paris. We drove down to the east side of England to Dover. There we got on a ferry to cross the English Channel, then back onto the Bus for another couple hours. Tate was thankfully the only one who slept. KC and I were zombies the entire day but it really was worth it.
I was amazed at how beautifully the french keep their grounds. It was the most gorgeous day-
the first time we had seen sun in a LONG time. We both felt like moles emerging out of the ground after a long winter and hating the hot sun on our faces.
We had brought the buggy with us for Tate but she would not sit happy. To say the least she was a diablo child the whole time making us hold her all day!
By mid day there were no chairs empty. We claimed a couple and took a nice little nap... Well KC did. Tate cried the whole time and I tried to sleep :)
I had no idea how gorgeous The Louvre was. Huge fan of the french architecture. That classic french roof top just kills me!
All the flowers at their best!
We spent some time here relaxing in the gardens and admiring that view
This just says it all right here.. not a fan of Paris apparently.
Hello Blue Sky!
Again I am in love with the wrought iron on every building. I mean, come on!
I love myself a good macaroon! Rasberry was the choice of the day! These buggers are way over priced but so worth it!
I am kicking myself for not taking a picture of the croissants, madelines and fresh vege pizza
on french bread. Every item was so beautifully crafted. Also those markets we walked through were incredible. Antiques everywhere and irresistible stands of fresh fruit, fresh breads and pastries. Don't mind my hideousness, just look at that bread!!
We may or may not have eaten 4 of those.
The only time Tate was actually somewhat content in a picture. Poor little thing.
This was our last picture before we headed back to the coach station where we hopped back on another bus and made our 8 hour journey once again. Yikes!
We left very pleasantly full of french delicacies. And very sun-burnt faces!
