I'm a witch, booom booom!

I just saw this on my sister's blog and had to share! Our cousin Jen got married on Friday and inbetween the luncheon and the reception we came to our house for naps and candy. :) Once Eden woke up from her nap we had a fun time on the trampoline. I love her little voice. Enjoy!

And a very very very Happy Birthday to Emilie today! Thanks for being such a great sister! Love ya!

Halloween fun!!!

This Sunday we had a really fun Halloween dinner with Jon's family. His sister Jen had this great idea for monster sandwiches. We all got to make our own and I was quite impressed with what everyone came up with! Sadly I forgot my camera so these were all taken with my cell phone, so pardon the quality - but you get the gist.

This is Jon's cyclops.

I think this is Mike's.
This is Jon's mom, Leila's. I love the dangling earrings on the side!

Leila made this one for Jon's dad. I love the western motif. He's a huge John Wayne fan. (Thus the reason for my Jon's full name: Jonathan WAYNE Law.) :)

This is Nikki's.
And Nikki's little Alex's.

I think this was Josh's.
And this was the 1st one Jen made.

As usual, I forgot to take any pictures of anything involving myself. That's mine in the background.

This was Jen's little Aidan's.

I was assigned dessert for the evening and made these cute little spiders from Oreo cakesters. (Thanks to my mom for her creative genius!!!)
We had so much fun with these goulish delights! We carved pumpkins and watched Hocus Pocus after dinner while the kids danced around in their little halloween jammies. I love this time of year!!!

They're here!!!

And I never want them to leave!!! I have had so much fun playing with this two little munchkins this week. They are staying with my parents, or as she calls it "my gwama's house". Yesterday we went to the Union Station in Ogden to play on the trains and take some pictures. Eden is so proud of her "yittle baby pumpkin" she got to pick out.

And Avi is just happy to be here. She is such a good little baby who rarely fusses and cries. She loves to smile and coo and talk to grandma.

I love these girls and have had so much fun with them! I can't believe we still have them here for another week. You know I'll be posting halloween pictures like mad with these two! :)

While I've been playing with the girls, Jon has found creative ways to entertain himself. He was so excited about the snow we received awhile ago that he decided to tape up his skis and practice some turns on my trampoline. Of course, Mike and Alex were in on the action and it looks like they had a great time. Thanks for not ripping up my tramp!!! :)

Preserving Fall

A few weeks ago, before New York, we took a drive on the Alpine Loop to get some pictures in the fall leaves. We had just gotten our new little point and shoot camera so I was excited to try it out. Here are some of our funny "set the timer and run" shots!

St. George

I've decided I'm not a huge fan of coming home from one big trip and then leaving the next day for another. It's way too chaotic when I come home. But this weekend getaway to St. George was so worth it! We went down with a group of friends, sans kids, and stayed with our friends Jeremy and Michelle.

We had kind of a rough start. Jon, Mike, and Jeremy decided to ride their bikes down, even though it was supposed to rain that day. I was worried so I decided to drive behind them to make sure things were okay, and by the time we got past Cedar City, they were glad I did (2 bikes ran out of gas and someone got a ticket.)!!! We stopped in Fillmore to top off the gas and grab some lunch. We ended up staying there for 45 minutes to wait out a storm, but then decided to just go ahead and brave it.

This probably wasn't very smart, but I decided to get a picture of Jon on his bike, in action. It was so windy that one swift gust could have pushed my car right into him, but I am a master driver and photographer and managed to pull it off! :)

The boys went golfing on Saturday while the girls did some shopping. After the Priesthood session of conference e all met up for dinner at Ruby River...YUM!!! Jon and I got to sit across from my mom and dad and fill them in about our trip to NY so that was fun.
I like my parents. They're funny. One minute they are so fed up with one another and then next minute they are lovey and affectionate. I guess that's a good example to not hang onto hurt and frustration. They're cute.
Here's the whole group, L-R: Wade & Sara, Dad & Mom, Nikki & Mike, Quin & Hilary, Us, and Michelle and Jeremy. All of us with very full bellies!

Sunday morning we watched the morning session of conference while eating Jeremy's legendary breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Yum! Then we took off on a bike ride to Gunlock reservoir. It was a little chilly, but we had a great time.

Unfortunately, that was the end of a fun weekend for Jon. He had to leave as soon as we got back from our ride so he could get to the office early in the morning. Mike was nice enough to leave with him so Jon wasn't riding his bike alone late at night. Luckily he got home safe I got to stay one more night to play with my family a little bit longer. We had such a great time and are so grateful to our wonderful friends and family who hosted us. It was such a great reminder to me that our friends just aren't Jon's guy friends, but also my girl friends and we can do our own thing and find things in common...just not scrapbooking for me! ;) Thanks ladies, for such a fun weekend! Love ya!

New York wrap up

Here's our slideshow of pictures. Most shots have captions to narrate our time there. It's kinda long, but we did a lot of stuff there so it is what it is! Enjoy!

Here today, gone tomorrow...

We're home! We had a wonderful time in NYC and I'm so excited to share my stories and pictures with you all. However, we're leaving for St. George in the morning and I won't be able to share until next week some time. See you then! Here's a preview.
