Basement progress

I thought I had better show the progress on the basement before it was all done. With my procrastination that is probably the next time I will get pictures taken. This is Kimberlen's room.
Her doorway from inside her room.
And another angle. We have her closet organizers complete and the casing on the doors are finished. Next, the baseboards and caulking.
Hallway will Kimberlen's room on the right, the cold storage at the end and the closet on the left.
Storage closet shelves, the opposite side with be a long hanging rack.
Cold storage. Yes it is sheet rocked and will be painted and carpeted for my wonderful husband.
Maycee's room. Closet and Doorway.
From the other end. Her door casings are done, but we still need to do her closet.

We Are Walking

My little Brylee started walking about 2 1/2 weeks ago. It is amazing how quickly they go from taking four to five steps to now walking from one end of the house to the other. This is one of the earlier clips of her walking.

But this is what she loves to do right now. Such a girly girl.

Kimberlen's Birthday Bash

We started on Friday with a group of girls at Taylor Andrew's Hair Academy for some make over hair do's. This is the before picture.

Kimberlen getting her hair done. She has a princess crown and all the other girls had little tiara's.

After she was done.

The group afterwards. Thanks to Aunt Kris for giving this wonderful gift to Kimberlen. The girls had so much fun and it was great to get to watch them all.

Cake number one.

The girls eating cake and ice cream after open gifts. She got some fun things.
This was all that was left of the cake. The inside was tie-dye.
Saturday we attended a Bridal Shower for Eric's cousin and they made Kimberlen feel special since it was on the day of her birthday. We dressed her up in a toilet paper wedding dress and she won. She thought that was pretty neat and being the only kid with a bunch of ladies made her feel pretty special.
On Sunday we had all our friends and family over for dinner and cake. Here she is opening her gifts. She got totally spoiled and a whole new summer wardrobe. She loved everything she received. Maycee of course had to be right in the middle of it.
One thing she really wanted was a pair of glitter toes by sketchers and she got a pair from Grandma and was very excited.
One of the many cute clothes. I actually got this dress for her. I thought it was just so cute.
Cake Number two after Maycee attacked it with the frosting tip before I decorated it. Kimberlen and I were getting our hair done when she came in with frosting on her hands and face. It was a dead give away as to what had happened.
I was able to fix it and this was the final result. She didn't quit know what kind of cake she wanted so this is what we finally came up with. Thanks Char'lee for the cute star pan.
Anticipation...watching Hudson being silly.
And then they were out. I think she might have had a little help too.
She had a great birthday and in just two weeks we get to do it again for Maycee. Lets hope I can do all I am trying to get done in the mean time.

Aysons Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Ayson's first birthday. He is my cousin Char'lee's little boy. He is such a cute big boy.
Here he is sharing his toys with Brylee.
Brylee in her cool shades.
He loves drums and went to town with this one.
Kimberlen is wearing the pinata. It was a cowboy hat, but looks more like something patriotic upside down.
Opening our presents.
This is the cake that I made for him.
And he loved it I'm sure.
At least he liked how it tasted.
Nothing like a good chocolate cake.

Mow the Lawn

We were finally able to mow the backyard for the first time Thursday and the girls wanted to help Dad so bad.
Eric was having such a hard time trying to hold Brylee and maneuver the mower at the same time so I so thoughtfully went and got him the little carrier. I don't think he thought it was such a great idea at first but he was able to have the little ones help and it made it easier.
Kimberlen thought it was a good idea to roll around on the grass in her white leggings and ended up getting grass spots all over her clothes and her arms so I made her get in the tub right before this.

I think they must make mowers with that extra bar for this exact reason. The kids need somewhere to push too!

Easter

Ya I know I am behind the rush of Easter posts by others, but hey now you all have something new to look at. Also my battery went dead during the decorating process so all of the pictures are on her camera.
We went to my Parents on Friday to do our celebrating and egg coloring. Here is Hudson and Maycee making a mess, Oh, I mean coloring eggs! They had so much fun this year, it great to watch them. We too as others have mentioned, had a bunch of broken eggs in the end and not enough.
Brylee cheese!! She just wanted to eat them.
Grama Robin and Brylee.
The Easter gift from Grandma and Grandpa Metcalf were these fun wiggle cars. It didn't take them long to figure out how they worked, and they are sure fun.
Ayson just liked the paper and the plastic.
Our finished products....
The freezing Sat. morning egg hunt. I felt like we were dressing to go sledding it was so cold and windy but the girls loved it.
Brylee bundled up.
The girls with the treasures. I made Kimberlen go with the 5-6 year olds because I couldn't see where her age group was from were I needed to be with Maycee and she said she was going to do that again next year....silly girl, next year will be twice the fight, ha ha.
Easter morning I video recorded the baskets opening so here are a few during the egg hunt. Kimberlen un-patiently waiting for Maycee to find an egg so she could find some more.
Maycee finding another egg with the coaching from Dad.
I think Brylee thought the grass was the best part.
Brylee's basket at Papa Marks.
Maycee and her goods at the grandparents.
Kimberlen and her goods.

Throwing Fits!

I thought that we had a while til Brylee started acting like the other two girls. Boy was I wrong. My girls must be good teachers or else this is a natural instinct in my house. Brylee was playing with books and kept trying to hold two in one hand. When it didn't work out so well this was the result....
