Spring Break 2012

For Spring Break this year we did a little stay-cation. Alan started his new job one month prior and was unable to take anytime off. He drives to American Fork everyday so we decided to get a hotel at Thanksgiving Point for a couple of days. My kids think staying in a hotel is the best, regardless of where it is. We were able to go to the petting zoo, the Dinosaur Museum, go swimming several times, go to Cabelas and eat out! We would play during the day and Alan would meet up with us at night. The kids loved it!
Oh, and on a different note, we found out that number four is going to be another boy--much to Ashlyn's dismay. She is coming around and is now trying to convinces us that she needs to name him.

Our big announcment!

Alan, Ashlyn, Kaleb, Carter and I are happy to announce that the newest addition to the Gee family will arrive in July! I am 14 weeks along and feeling great.
As a side note, we did not do IVF this time. Alan and I decided that we had done it four times and were blessed with three children. We knew that we really did not want to do it again. So--this one was a surprise! Ashlyn had been praying for a new baby sister for a long time (She may or may not get her wish) so we are giving her the credit for this blessing in our lives.

My cute little dudes!

I guess I should expect nothing less from two, two-year olds that are in the same room, but they are starting to get naughty at nap/bed time. I will put them down and then hear little feet running around. I have had a hard time getting mad at them, because it is really cute finding them both in the same bed or in the closet reading books. A couple of nights ago I caught Carter turning on the light in his room. When I opened the door he dropped his head and covered his eyes--as if I would not see him! When I caught them in the closet last night Kaleb told me that he was just trying to get, "Carter back in him bed". I can't believe he is trying to use excuses already!
Despite the occasional playing at sleep time, they are so much fun. It is cute to listen to them talk to each other in their beds at night and it is fun to see them pretend play together. They really are good little buddies. I think it would be awesome to always have a friend to play with.

New York

Alan had a conference in New York and I was able to tag a long. I have been to New York two other times so this time I went to relax and not sight see as much. I did a lot of shopping (some for Christmas), a lot of walking, some reading and some uninterrupted sleeping. I went to the MET for the first time and enjoyed the Broadway Play, Mamma Mia, with Alan. (I still have ABBA songs in my head!) We had a great time and the kids seem to enjoy Grandma Woodland having a long sleepover at their house.

Happy Birthday to me!

I had a wonderful 33rd birthday! We spent the day at Snow Bird. We took the kids up the tram, which they loved. I on the other hand, had to pretend that I was not afraid of heights the whole ride! It happened to be Oktoberfest while we were there so we enjoyed some live Polka music and German food.

When Mom is busy--the boys will play!

I thought painting would be a good thing to keep my little buddies busy while I was concentrating on making homemade salsa. The first 20 minutes went well, but when the giggling started I realized that it was not such a good idea. I should have figured that paint and two little ones that are two usually are a recipe for a mess. They needed a bath after this event due to the paint that was all over the back of Carter's head. They did manage to paint a little on their papers!
