Hello from Arizona!!!

Whew!!! What a CRAZY month it has been!! Mental Health specialists say that you should only have only one big change in your life per year. Well, I have had three.

First and foremost, we are having a GIRL! Matt and I went to the doctor before we left to Az and had our first ultrasound. There she was and, man, she is beautiful. Everything was Perfect, in the right place, and working exactly as it should. Her hand was always by her face, a trait she got from her father. We got some good shots of her foot. . 5 little toes. . and could see her moving her fingers. She was constantly moving and at times the doctor would sigh, "if she would just hold still for a second!" Yea, right. I blame her father for that as well. We are going to name her Emma Mary Tefteller. Emma, after Emma Smith whom I admire and Mary-after my Mom, whom I adore. Matt and I figure that with a name like Emma Mary Tefteller, we can't go wrong. :) About a week ago, I started feeling her moving and kicking. It was really amazing. She loves to kick my left side. She's pretty constant, which makes me feel good.

We have been here in Arizona for over a week, now. My Mom and Dad were kind enough to drive with us and spend the next few days helping us get settled. Matt was constantly amazed at how hard they worked. I don't know what I would have done with out their help. A few days into our move the AC in my car went out. . and it's 114 during the day here. I was ready to head back to Utah where people could actually live! But, Matt got everything fixed as soon as possible and now I must admit it works better than it did before. Tender Mercies, I tell you. The area is nice. I really like our apartment. It looks out over a lake with fish and turtles. Our apartment location is also perfect. On the back of the complex with little noise and little sun.

Matt is excited for school. Today is his first day. His brother, John, is in the DO program, but for the next two years they will have the same classes. Whats the odds of that? They are so funny getting ready for school. Another of Matt's brothers, Mark, and his family are also here. We have been hanging out with them and it has been great. I have wonderful sister-in-laws.

So, now the question is. . WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO VISIT? We have plenty of room and even when Emma is here, we will just put her crib in our room. Maybe wait until it cools down, but anytime anyone wants to visit. . I'm ready!!

The First to Know. . . .

A couple of weeks ago, Matt and I went to the blessing of our nephew, Adam. When we walked into the chapel my sweet 3-year old niece, Maille, found us and immediately came and sat on my lap. She turned around and lifted up the sweater I was wearing (don't worry, I was wearing a shirt underneath) and looked at my belly. She said, "You going to have a baby?" I shook my head, "no." She then turned around and continued her babbling trying to get the attention of her cousins a few pews ahead of us.
During the sacrament, as we were being very reverent, she turned around and whispered into my ear, "you going to have a baby?" Again, I shook my head, "no, not yet." Several minutes later, Mai informed me that she,"really needed to go to the potty." So I grabbed her little hand and we walked to the bathroom. As she was sitting, swinging her legs and merrily doing her business, she piped up, "so, what do you think it is?" I paused and thought, "man, this kid keeps going on this. . " then I said, "well, I don't know. What do you think?" She immediately replied, "It's a boy."
Now, I'm thinking that this is really strange. . I don't know quite what to think of it. Finally, when sacrament was over and we were getting ready to go to our next classes, Maille gave me a hug and then looked at me and said, "you going to have a baby?" I smiled and said, "Mai, I'm not going to have a baby, but I will soon. Ok?" She smiled and said, "ok."
Well, who am I to questions a 3-year old? We are having a baby. We found out a couple of weeks ago. I am super excited and Matt is so excited that he can hardly stand it. It's so funny and sweet that the first person to know was a bubbly little 3-year old girl who is very intuitive. Maybe it will even be a boy. Yea baby Tefteller!!!!

Going to AZ?

Good news! We just learned that Matt was accepted to Midwestern University in Arizona! Matt and I went over to Adrienne's apartment last night to look on line at his profile. . . I was so nervous. As Matt was looking up his profile I was watching his face very closely. . trying to see ANY response. He sat there saying, "Ummmm. . . well, I think. . . . I think. . ." and then FINALLY he said, "I think I got in. . " I screamed and went over to the computer to see for myself and SURE ENOUGH Matt had been accepted. It was so great to see how happy he was. He has worked so hard and really been patient and now finally things have worked out. He will still go out and interview in Philadelphia and New York just to have some comparisons and then we will make a decision. YEA FOR MATT!!!

(If you haven't been to one I definitely recommend going). Rodeo's , laying by the pool and reading, summer road trips, Water skiing, BYU games (yes, DAD, I said BYU games. .Oh, the things I do for love) carnivals, BBQ's, fireworks, Races with Adrienne, and long evening walks. Trip to AZ. . .

We went to AZ this past weekend to see Matt's bro bless his baby. It was sooooo warm and beautiful! Matt is in the process of applying to some schools down there, so we checked out the area. I wondered what it would be like to live in AZ. . . I'm such a Utah girl. I can never understand when people complain about the snow. Mom would say, "they just don't know how to play in it properly." Some of Matt's wonderful family live down there, but I still love the snow. That is until I saw the Mesa Temple!! It is BEAUTIFUL!! Kinda Book-of-Mormon-y. It's amazing that these buildings "dot the earth" and how wonderful it is that I have the blessing of entering in there. Great Trip!!

Christmas!!

Ok, ok so I am really behind on my blog. I wanted to upload some pics from Christmas. We had such a great Christmas this year. We spent Christmas morning at th Baxter house and then Christmas evening with the Teftellers. What wonderful parents we have!!

Christmas Kids Party

I was finally catching up with all of my pics, now that life is somewhat normal, and saw all of these cute videos/pics of our sledding Christmas party. Enjoy!

The Tefteller Family

Now we have been married for a little over a month. What fun being married is, even with all the adjustments and my stupid TMJ.
Did I mention how much it meant to me to have my ENTIRE family and most of Matt's family there? You guys are the best.
