Another Fusion and Coloring Challenge Card

I had to make another card for the Fusion Challenge since I loved both the photo and the sketch. I fused the two together and just flipped the sketch by placing the butterfly on the lower right hand corner.  I stamped the Stamplorations gerbera flowers with Memento London Fog ink and colored them in with Copic markers.  I then used two Impression Obsession butterfly dies and popped the butterfly up with foam squares.

Flowers for Fusion

I was inspired by the gorgeous flowers in the flower photo for the Fusion challenge:

I stamped the Technique Tuesday flower image three times with Antique Linen Distress ink onto the smooth side of the Tim Holtz Distress Water color paper.  I then used the wet on wet water coloring technique to loosely water color the images.

ATCAS #48

Time for a new challenge at the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog.  Michelle chose the code word CUDDLY for us:

Our generous sponsor is:

And our guest designer is Tenia from Jazzy Paper Designs.  Check out the awesome samples from the design team at the ATCAS challenge blog for more inspiration!

I used images from MFT and I cut up part of a sentiment from another MFT set.  I used Prima papers to paper piece the PJ's and watercolor pencils to color the girl's face and hair and the ears on the bunnies.  The double ended banner is from PaperTrey.

I am entering this card into the Fusion challenge:

Just a Note

This is for a few challenges:

Less Is More - Flowers

CASology - Flower

The Paper Players - Clean and Simple Florals

One-Layer Simplicity Challenge - Fabulous Florals

Fusion Card Challenge

I used the black outline flower image from Rubbernecker Stamps.  There are three more steps to this set but I decided to put to use some of the information that I learned in the Online Card Class - Watercoloring for Cardmakers.  I took a clean wet paint brush and painted water over each flower, one at a time.  I then added a pink ink (wet on wet) then a washed out red and then a undiluted red - all wet on wet.

For the Fusion challenge I concentrated on the colors - black, red and white and since there was music I used the sentiment "Just a Note".

FTL243 and Fusion Hypothesis #9

I created this card using the FTL243 layout from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog:
and using Lesley's photo from the Fusion Card Challenge blog, Hypothesis #9:
All card stock is from PaperTrey, the patterned paper is from MME and the umbrella was created from a Memory Box die.  I used a Fiskars border punch on the patterned paper strip.

FBW242 Happy Anniversary

Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday 242!  This week's challenge is a recipe: flowers, butterfly and a punch or die cut. I hope you join us and if you do, link your project directly to InLinkz on the FBW blog.
I was also inspired by the Fusion #8 challenge:
When I saw the inspiration photo I immediately thought of a stamp I've had since I started stamping - it is a Penny Black stamp.  I stamped it on water color paper and colored it in with Distress Markers and Memento markers and an aquabrush.  I cut it out with a circle Nestability.  I used my PaperTrey (PTI) butterfly die and cut the BF out of PTI patterned paper.  So there I have flowers, a butterfly and used dies on my project!  The sentiment is also from PTI and the little heart rhinestones are from Amuse.

Lastly, I am submitting this to the: Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge:  Make Your Mark
For this challenge you need to use your markers or any coloring medium now is accepted.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge:  Anything Goes.

Miss You

I feel like I am playing hooky since I made this card instead of making a card for my card class homework!  I played in two more challenges:
The Dynamic Duos and Fusion:

I took the colors (they look a bit off in my photo) obviously from the Dynamic Duo challenge but also from the Fusion photo - Lesley's challenge.  I used Jackie's sketch so I created a Fusion between the two!

The papers I used are from MME.  The bird is a WPlus9 die cut and the branch is a part of a Memory Box die cut.  I adhered the bird with a foam square and placed a blue rhinestone in the eye.  The sentiment is from MFT's Pretty Poppies set and is inked in Chocolate Chip.

A Fusion of Challenges

I found a few new to me challenges and I combined one of them, Crazy for CAS challenge 16 which was a sketch challenge:

with the Fusion Card Challenge #2:
This card was inspired by Lesley's challenge which is the photo of the pillows.  I was inspired by the chevrons and dots on the pillows.  The chevons are from The Crafts Meow and the dots are from PaperTrey.

To Infinity and Beyond!

Here is another card for the Fusion Challenge and for this week's CASology cue card: Travel:
I really love the sketch at the Fusion challenge so I used it for my Casology card.  I went through my stamps looking for something appropriate for Travel theme and came up with this PaperTrey set.  The chevrons were cut out of PaperTrey Starry Night (sparkly) card stock with my MFT Die-namics die.  The stars and rocket are both cut with PTI dies and I stamped the flames from the stamp set with SU! ink - kind of using the colors of the flowers in the Fusion photo.  I used a silver metallic gel pen to color in part of the rocket and finished it off with a blue rhinestone on the nose.

Hello Friend

Yay I got a chance to play with some challenges out there in blogland!  I am really excited about the new challenge that started today - FUSION CARD CHALLENGE:
Not only do I love the concept but I love this first challenge - the sketch and the inspiration photo!  So I chose to combine them both or FUSE them!
I am also playing in the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, CFC97 - Chevrons and Flowers.
I cut the chevrons with my MFT Die-namic die and the flowers with a Memory Box die.  The flower centers are just from a hole punch. The flowers are popped up with foam squares.  All papers from PaperTrey and the sentiment is from Avocado Arts.
