Today I am hostessing the SCS CAS237 challenge - Tool Time. Use an edge punch (no dies). This card is a case of the QFTD180 - cherylquilts' Purple Iris Birthday card. I had to dig out an old Fiskars daisy edge die to go with my flowers from Flourishes. The sentiment is from PaperTrey Signature Greetings. The flowers are colored with Copic markers.

FBW244 CAS
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday 244. This week's challenge is one of my favorites - Clean and Simple (CAS) - just remember to include a butterfly or fairy on your card. Check out what the DT created on the Flutter By Wednesday blog. You will find InLinkz to upload your CAS creation there also.
This card is a case of a card that I saw on Pinterest. I used a Cuttlebug Border Embossing Folder across the top panel. I stamped a scrap of white card stock with a gingham pattern image with Harvest Gold ink and then cut it out with my Butterfly Dreams die from PaperTrey. The gingham square image is also from PaperTrey. I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes in Hero Arts Charcoal Shadow ink and embellished the butterfly with some pearls. The butterfly is adhered with a foam square and the top panel is adhered with foam tape.
I am submitting this to the CASology challenge - Cue word is YELLOW:
and to Addicted to Stamps and More - the challenge is CAS!

SCS VSN Weekend
This weekend is Virtual Stamp Night (VSN)at SCS. There are challenges posted every hour starting Friday afternoon through Saturday night. You need to create your card according to the challenge criteria within 45 minutes. If I keep then CAS I have a chance to meet the 45 minutes! Since I had the colors already out while I was making my last card I used them for this card. For this challenge we were supposed to case a card from luvlee's gallery. I cased Sending Caring Thoughts.
Since I used the Play Date Cafe colors again I am submitting this to that challenge:
I also used a banner for my image so I am submitting this to the Cas-ual Friday Challenge:
I stamped the Flourishes image on PaperTrey white card stock and watercolored the flowers with SU! Taken With Teal and Marvelous Magenta ink and a water brush. The card front was embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder so the banner would stand out.

Wishing You a Day of Joy
I created this card for the SCS sketch and color challenges this week. I really like this sketch and this came together very quickly for me - that hardly ever happens! I spend at least an hour making a card - even when I am following a sketch! I brayered the one panel with More Mustard, Raspberry Fizz and Adirondack Aqua. The silhouette image was inked with Versafine Onyx Black. I used a white gel pen to highlight the ripples in the water.

OLW16 Stamp a Scene
These cards were created for Susan's challenge One Layer Wednesday - to stamp a scene. I think I'm a bit off on my card creating today but oh well, it is what it is. The first card is my 4th attempt to create what I had in my head! I thought the image was bigger than it is and this is a 4.25 square card!
I went with the 1/3rd principle but it sure looks unbalanced to me. First I stamped the silhouette image with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used Taylored Expressions Cloud background with Memento Summer Sky ink after masking the bottom with a post-it note. I sponged in the grass, colored in a bit of the sun (it needed something else!!) and then stamped the sentiment. I probably should have stamped the sentiment a little higher in the blue sky part - maybe that is what would make it look more balanced.
This next one was much easier! This is one image from Inkadinkado. I stamped it and colored it in with SU! markers. Easy one!
