mother's day

first of all, i'm excited that my gardenia bloomed and smells amazing. these are hard plants!!
ellie was excited to give me this apron she made-so cute. she also wrote me a message on a paper "i love my mom because she is so preddy."
ash made me this necklace at school. it's out of clay. then she told me "the other kids had 2 balls on their necklace for their moms, but i kept one and made a necklace for me. " glad she's honest :)

take your kids to work day

this is the first time the kids have gone to work with jason...well, i took them and the office put on a morning of show and tell. it was pretty neat. they got to hold pretend guns, try on the helmets and gas masks, look at counterfeit money under the microscope, get their fingerprints taken, and sit in the armored suburban (and talk on the speaker.) the office did quite a good job explaining what they do and showing the kids all the things. i think the guys that put it on were just excited for the day to be over!

Easter

kids had fun searching for their baskets and helping reese find hers too. we all enjoyed the candy a little too much. we did make the wood traditional easter bunny cake...but when the kids started eating it they both said "um i don't think i like this. i don't want anymore. we don't have to do this next year." i'll just have to find better tasting bunnies.

poor reese had to find eggs in a halloween bucket. i'm over it.

oh the anticipation of finding baskets with candy in them. it was almost too great.
